Tomb raiders: You stole my little Qilin?
Chapter 58 I'll wipe it for you
The two escaped unscathed and returned to their room openly and honestly.
Wu Erbai hasn't returned yet, and Erjing has been turned, so there's no need to worry about being caught.
Wu Xie pushed the wheelchair to the door of Wu Wei's room.
Wu Wei had already gotten out of his wheelchair at the main entrance, and now, glancing at the wheelchair, he looked at it with a hint of disdain.
"Isn't it unnecessary to put it here?"
"It will be useful."
Wu Xie stubbornly parked his wheelchair at his door, looking like he was "ready to be called at any time".
Wu Wei was too lazy to argue with him, so he took out two sets of puzzles from the cabinet and gave one set to Wu Xie.
The two patients stayed in the room, passing the entire afternoon by doing jigsaw puzzles.
As dusk fell, the servants quickly served the dishes, placing several light and simple dishes in front of Wu Wei and Wu Xie.
Wu Erbai also returned from a busy day and sat down to eat with the two of them.
They chatted casually about business matters that day, with Wu Wei occasionally chiming in.
Wu Erbai then suddenly added, "The head of the Xie family has come to Beijing."
Wu Wei and Wu Xie were both stunned for a moment, then quickly retrieved the name from their memories: Xie Yuchen.
Wu Xie asked, "Is it the Xie family, Xiao Hua's brother's family?"
"Hmm." Wu Erbai picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks.
"The Xie family has developed quite well in recent years. Yu Chen, that young man, has managed to support the Xie family at such a young age. His methods are very clever. You can meet him another day."
Wu Wei thought about the child in theatrical costume he had seen in Changsha when he was a child.
I remember her as a quiet and pretty little guy. Later, he and Wu Xie took her to Kaifu Temple to burn incense.
"Little Flower, it's been so long!"
"She's not a young starlet anymore."
Wu Erbai's tone carried a hint of admiration, "The head of the Xie family is a well-known figure in the underworld."
Wu Erbai changed the subject and looked at the Wu Wei and Wu Xie brothers:
"Once you two have recovered, take over some business. You're not young anymore; it's time to learn how to manage things."
Wu Wei quickly put down his chopsticks, his expression sincere: "Dad, you're still young, full of energy, you don't need me at all."
Wu Xie didn't dare to speak, and just kept picking at his food.
Wu Erbai glared at them both.
Wu Wei immediately changed the subject: "By the way, Dad, I'm thinking of going to visit my brother tomorrow. I should at least say hello when I get back."
Wu Erbai didn't object, but he did remind him, "Go only if your body can handle it, don't overexert yourself."
"We can handle it, we can handle it." Wu Wei nodded repeatedly.
After finishing his meal, Wu Wei took a couple of walks around the yard to help digest his food.
The night breeze was cool and refreshing, much more comfortable than during the day.
Back in my room, I wanted to lie down on the bed, but I felt sticky all over.
I was out and about all day and sweated a lot, so it was really uncomfortable not to take a shower.
Wu Wei walked to the wardrobe, pulled out a loose set of pajamas, and planned to take a shower before going to sleep.
I had just put my clothes on the bed when there was a knock on the door.
Wu Xie pushed open the door and came in, bursting with a sense of accomplishment: "Brother, I've finished putting together that jigsaw puzzle."
Wu Wei looked up, wondering how to take off his shirt, when he saw Wu Xie and his eyes lit up:
"You've come at the right time. Help me take off my shirt."
"What are you going to do?"
"I need a shower. I feel all sticky and uncomfortable."
Wu Wei raised the arm that was slinged across his chest, indicating that he couldn't handle it with just one hand.
"No, you can't wash it yourself." Wu Xie frowned.
"How do I wash one hand? What should I do if the wound gets wet?"
Wu Wei genuinely disliked the sticky feeling on his body and took a step back:
"Then can I just wipe it off? Your arms can't get wet, but you can wipe your upper body."
Wu Xie thought about it and decided that the plan was feasible.
He nodded: "Then sit down, I'll wipe you."
Before long, Wu Xie returned with a basin of warm water, soaked a towel in it, and wrung it out until it was half dry.
Wu Wei was already seated, quietly waiting for him.
Wu Xie stood in front of him with a towel in his hand, suddenly unsure of where to begin.
"Clothes," Wu Wei reminded him.
"Oh right, I almost forgot."
Wu Wei was wearing a loose-fitting shirt, with the buttons undone.
Wu Xie carefully pulled on his sleeve and helped him remove his clothes from his injured arm.
Wu Wei has practiced martial arts for many years, and his muscle lines are distinct but not exaggerated. His outline appears smooth and powerful under the light.
At this moment, his right shoulder was in a cast, and his ribs were bandaged. The purplish bruises were faintly visible through the edges of the bandage, which looked particularly glaring against his fair skin.
Wu Xie wrung out the towel again and started wiping Wu Wei's shoulder, starting from the side that wasn't injured.
The towel slid down the line of my shoulder, wiping my collarbone, and then further down, the warm, damp feeling washing over my chest.
Wu Wei's skin shimmered with a faint sheen under the light, his muscles were firm and well-proportioned, and his chest rose and fell slightly with each breath, revealing the lines on his abdomen that were sometimes deep and sometimes shallow.
Wu Xie didn't know why his heartbeat had been inexplicably getting faster lately.
He flipped the towel over, wrung it out again, and continued wiping.
When the towel touched Wu Wei's side, Wu Wei unconsciously flinched; that was his sensitive spot.
Wu Xie's fingers were pressed right there, and even through the towel, he could feel the muscles on Wu Wei's side contracting slightly in his palm.
His face flushed red instantly, and he froze, his fingers trembling slightly under the towel.
"Brother, don't move around." Wu Xie's voice was a little dry.
He pressed down on Wu Wei's uninjured shoulder with one hand, while continuing to wipe with the other.
Wu Xie felt his face burning, but fortunately the lights weren't bright enough for Wu Wei to see clearly.
He tried his best to move quickly, but the more he tried to be fast, the less his fingers obeyed him.
As the towel wiped his abdomen, his knuckles accidentally brushed against Wu Wei's skin, feeling warm and firm, as if he had been burned.
"Xiao Xie?" Wu Wei tilted his head to look at him. "Are you hot? Why is your face red?"
Wu Xie quickly threw the towel into the basin and began scrubbing it, saying, "A little."
Wu Wei didn't notice anything wrong. "Then I'll turn the air conditioning down a bit."
Wu Xie didn't reply, but wrung out the towel again and moved behind Wu Wei.
With no one behind me, I wasn't so nervous anymore.
He rubbed down along his shoulder blades, and as the towel brushed his back, he could clearly feel the lines of the muscles on both sides of the spine.
There were still several purplish-blue marks on his back that hadn't completely faded.
Wu Xie unconsciously softened his movements, afraid of hurting him.
"Press harder, it won't hurt in the back," Wu Wei said, turning his head to him.
Wu Xie responded and carefully finished wiping his back.
Wu Wei stretched his neck and breathed a sigh of relief: "Much better. Okay, you should go take a shower too, it's hot today."
Wu Xie stood up, picked up the clean shirt from the bed, and wanted to put it on Wu Wei.
Wu Wei dodged, saying, "I won't wear it yet; it's not clean enough."
After saying that, she walked towards the bathroom, intending to rinse off the part of her lower body that she hadn't wiped.
Wu Xie stood motionless in Wu Wei's room.
My heart was still pounding, and my chest felt like it was being pounded by a drum, which I couldn't stop no matter what I did.
I looked down at my hands, and it seemed that the warmth of the touch still lingered on my fingers.
He sensed something was wrong with him, but couldn't quite put his finger on why.
That feeling was stuck in my chest, a dull, bloated sensation.
It felt like something was desperately pushing outwards, but I couldn't figure out what it was.
The sound of running water came from the bathroom.
Wu Xie took a deep breath, picked up the basin of water, and quickly walked out of Wu Wei's room.
I poured out the water, leaned against the sink, and splashed cold water on my face.
He looked at himself in the mirror. "Wu Xie, what's wrong?"
