Si Lin glanced at the crooked lily of the valley in the flower bed, then looked down at Os.

The white tiger sat on the ground, licking its paws and washing its face, looking completely innocent.

He looked up and his gaze fell on Ruan Tang. Did she also like lilies of the valley?

The girl's sweet fragrance was somewhat similar to that of lily of the valley.

They were equally clean, equally fair-skinned, and equally frail-looking.

Si Lin spoke up, "I only found out today that Oss likes lilies of the valley so much."

"We'll have the horticulture department plant another patch later."

"Let's go."

He turned and walked toward the student council building. Os immediately stood up and followed, his tail wagging and swaying.

It was clearly out for some fresh air with its owner and was in a great mood.

Ruan Tang stood there holding her book, watching his back. He had broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a leisurely gait. His black trousers were straight, and a majestic white tiger followed beside him.

Si Lin took a few steps, then looked back at her, slowing his pace slightly. Aus also turned around.

The postures of the man and the tiger were strangely similar.

Ruan Tang hugged the book in her arms tightly and followed.

-

The door to the deacon's office was pushed open.

Si Lin walked in, followed by a white tiger, and then Ruan Tang carrying a book.

The other three people in the office were there.

They were all somewhat surprised to see this scene at the door.

Pei Heng's gaze jumped from Si Lin to Ao Si, and then from Ao Si to Ruan Tang.

Finally, his gaze fell on Wen Yan's face, the meaning in his eyes couldn't be clearer: "Didn't you two have a fight? Why did you go out and bring her back?"

Wen Yan shrugged slightly and spread his hands. "How would I know?"

Si Lin ignored them and walked behind her desk to sit down.

Oss took two steps beside him, then looked back at Ruan Tang standing at the door, his tail swishing back and forth on the carpet.

Ruan Tang stood at the door, holding her books, unsure whether to go in or leave.

Si Lin picked up the landline phone on the table and dialed an internal line. "Yan Ling'er, the flower bed has been messed up by Aus. Arrange for someone to fix it."

He paused, looked up at Ruan Tang, and added, "Plant more lily of the valley."

When Oss saw that its owner was ignoring it on the phone, it waddled toward Ruan Tang.

It nuzzled its large head against her waist, making continuous howling noises.

Ruan Tang shrank back, almost dropping the book in her hands again.

She knew the white tiger was a pet and wouldn't bite.

But she was still afraid.

She is a lily of the valley, a plant by nature. When faced with a beast at the top of the food chain, her instincts cannot be overcome by reason.

Ruan Tang took a half step back, and Aus took a half step forward, forcing her all the way from the doorway to the sofa.

Pei Heng raised an eyebrow, tossed his phone onto the coffee table, and teased, "Oss has been raised by Si Lin since he was a month old."

"Arrogant, picky, its temperament is just like its owner's."

"Normally I have to consider its mood before I can even pet it, why is it being so eager to do so today?"

Wen Yan shook his head and sighed, "Last year, there was someone who wanted to curry favor with Si Lin, but he was very clever and took a different approach to curry favor with Aus."

"I don't know how I angered it..."

He paused, a gentle smile playing on his lips, and looked at Ruan Tang, "Then the outcome, tsk tsk."

Ruan Tang felt a chill run down her spine from his tsk-tsk sound and quietly moved a few steps behind the sofa, standing right behind Wen Yan.

Aus was unhappy, thinking that Ruan Tang wanted to play with Wen Yan.

It also circled around to the sofa and barked twice at Wen Yan, unlike the coquettish barking at Ruan Tang; it was a real warning.

Don't take its toys away.

Wen Yan raised an eyebrow and surrendered.

Then Oss circled back to Ruan Tang, trying to nuzzle his big head into her arms, his tail swishing loudly.

Ruan Tang tried to back away again, but Aus chased after her, and the two of them circled around the sofa several times.

Several people in the office burst into laughter.

Pei Heng laughed the loudest, taking out his phone to film Aus and Ruan Tang, "This scene is too funny, I have to record it."

"Si Lin's white tiger is chasing after the little secretary he chose, running wild."

Ji Yan also glanced sideways, his gaze lingering on Auss and Ruan Tang for a moment before turning to Si Lin behind the desk.

Si Lin leaned back in his chair, slowly twirling the lighter in his fingers. His gaze was fixed on the two circling figures. His expression was indifferent, but his eyes never left Ruan Tang.

"Your beloved pet has certainly taken after its owner," Ji Yan said with a smile.

Si Lin did not respond.

Ruan Tang was being chased by Aus and ran around the sofa. She tripped on the edge of the carpet and fell to the ground.

The carpet was thick, but she landed hard on her knees first, without any relief, and her eyes immediately welled up with tears from the pain.

Os looked down at her, seemingly not understanding why this human had stopped running away. He then nuzzled his large head into her arms, and tried to put one of his paws on her.

It had no concept of its own weight or Ruan Tang's frailty.

"Os." Si Lin's voice came from behind the desk, his tone a bit fierce.

Oss froze.

Its big, round eyes blinked, and it turned to look at its owner.

Si Lin's face was cold, and his brows were slightly furrowed, an emotion he rarely sensed from his master.

He was unhappy.

Os slowly retracted its paws, sat down next to Ruan Tang, and let out a soft howl, looking somewhat aggrieved.

The owner has never been this fierce before.

Si Lin stood up, walked to the sofa, bent down, and took Ruan Tang's arm to help her up from the carpet.

She managed to stand up, revealing her knee, which had a small bruise that stood out against her fair skin.

Si Lin looked down at the bruise and frowned.

With such a thick carpet on the floor, how could she still get so badly injured? Just how delicate is she?

He bent down, put one hand under her knees and the other around her back, and lifted her up in his arms.

Ruan Tang gasped and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, "Young Master Si..."

"Don't move around." Si Lin carried her towards the door, glancing at Ji Yan as they passed the sofa.

"Help me check on Os."

Before Ji Yan could answer, the office door had already closed.

Os sprang up from the ground and chased after the door with his paws, only to find it tightly shut.

It nudged the doorknob with its nose, but couldn't open it. It let out an anxious howl and its tail drooped down.

Ji Yan stood up from the sofa, picked up the specially made tiger chain hanging on the coat rack, and squatted down next to Aus.

"Si Lin will be back soon."

He chained Oss with practiced ease, then reached out and stroked the back of its neck twice.

Oss flicked its tail unhappily, but ultimately did not refuse.

Ji Yan was fairly familiar with it.

Pei Heng watched Ji Yan take Aus's hand, then looked at the closed door, scratched the back of his head, and said, "Wait, Si Lin just carried him away like that?"

He turned to look at Wen Yan, "Was that argument really serious last time? I feel like I missed something again?"

Wen Yan bent down to pick up the book that Ruan Tang had dropped, placed it on the coffee table, pushed up his glasses, and did not answer.

Os lay at Ji Yan's feet, his amber eyes still staring longingly at the door, occasionally letting out a soft purr.

Feeling wronged.
