Survival Game: Call Me an Honest Businessman

When the group message popped up, the same message also appeared in the area chat:

[Everyone, a type of creature called the Night Bat lurks in the shallow airspace. They are nocturnal, have a keen sense of smell, and possess heat sensing abilities. After the beginner period ends, these Night Bats are highly likely to appear at night and attack the cabins. Please be on guard.]

[Night bat? What's the difference between it and a regular bat?]

[When you're starving, who cares about night bats? I just want some food for the people; they're starving to death.]

Me too, it's still cold, and it's getting colder.

[If you ask me, we should arrest all those who bought the spaceship blueprints. These people are obviously rich. After arresting them, we should distribute the resources equally among ordinary people like us. That's what the authorities should be doing.]

[Yes, and there's also that group that charged 188 yuan for verification. They charged 188 yuan on the first day! Does anyone know where these people got their money? Arrest them and investigate!]

[That guy who was showing off by eating instant noodles must be rich too, arrest him!]

Li Zhi almost choked on his mouth from laughing while watching the snail rice noodles.

Humanity has only been involved in the game for a very short time.

Although the environment has changed, the cabin is safe for three days.

There's a cloud network for fishing and a chat channel for communication.

Some people are completely unaware of the cruelty of this game, and have not changed their mindset at all, still using the same mindset they had in a peaceful environment to face this world.

The biggest reason for this phenomenon is that some people are cold, some are hungry, and some are sick, but no one has died yet.

Without death, there is no alarm bell.

Most people are just staying home and scrolling through their phones in a different place and in a different way.

They seamlessly brought all the moral blackmail and resentment towards the rich that they had when they were keyboard warriors on Earth to this world.

They couldn't perceive the difference between the two worlds at all.

Li Zhi speculated that the number of deaths was not the highest after the three-day beginner period.

The period when humans died the most was when they had contact with other races.

Whether on the ground or in the air, as long as there is contact with other races, humanity will suffer mass death.

What the country is doing now is trying to minimize these casualties.

But in Li Zhi's view, all of this was in vain.

Instead of wasting manpower, resources, and energy trying to save people who are destined to die sooner or later, it would be better to invest all resources in the government itself and in people with investment value.

These people, once they grow up, will be able to save even more people in the future.

Those who survived until they were awaiting official rescue were people who had actively tried to save themselves.

Survival is always a process of selection.

These are the talents who deserve the investment of human and material resources to save.

Ultimately, however the authorities choose, it has nothing to do with her.

She might sell information to the authorities and do business with them, but she won't have deep ties with them or join their ranks.

She wanted the latest and most comprehensive first-hand information from the official sources.

The message from the regional chat was clearly seen in the group as well:

Magician: [A bunch of incompetent idiots, facing certain death, all they do is scheme against others and drag them down. I can't wait to see what happens in 40 hours!]

Greedy for survival pass: [Are there really people who don't save up Apocalypse Dust? Doesn't the game clearly state that if you don't save it, the cabin will lose power and fall 500 meters?]

Call me Feng Aotian: [That group is real; I've been in it.]

AAA's Number One Lucky Player: [Ever since I mentioned I got a silver chest, I've been getting 99+ friend requests every day, all with outrageous demands. One guy even asked me to help him upgrade his advanced airship. Does he think the whole world is his parents?]

AAA professional boosting expert Hao Shi: [They don't treat you like parents, they treat you like a wishing well turtle.]

Magician: [So all that commotion outside, @You're safe, what do you think?]

The group chat fell silent instantly.

Li Zhi didn't slurp any more rice noodles.

"You are safe" is an official person, and everyone in the group already knows this without saying a word.

This is one of the reasons why the group is usually very quiet and almost no one chats.

Although everyone knows that the official stance is unlikely to be as blatant as some players in the regional chat claim, they still want to use this incident to gauge the official attitude.

You are safe: [As you all probably guessed, I am indeed a member of the organization. Rest assured, the organization has always upheld the principles of freedom, equality, fairness, and justice in treating every human being, and will never forcibly requisition supplies or engage in similar practices.]

You are safe: [The organization is developing a special device specifically designed for birds and nocturnal creatures. If you are interested, you can contact me to order.]

You are safe: [If anyone has suitable business opportunities, they can also trade with the organization. The organization will absolutely not take a single needle or thread from the people. All transactions are fair, just, and transparent.]

You are safe. (Sent three messages at once.)

While seemingly unrelated, every sentence actually demonstrates the official strength and sincerity.

It seems quite reliable at the moment.

Someone in the group started speaking:

AAA's Number One Lucky Player: [@You're safe. Does the official website have materials to upgrade the flying boat?]

Call Me Phoenix Aotian: [Does anyone know what the Rockbeak Bird's weakness is? This thing is like a crow, it holds grudges, you can't beat it in a fight, and its bites hurt terribly. If the starting area wasn't separated from other areas, I suspect that bird could peck its way through my house.]

Li Zhi also sent a message: [Accepting pre-orders for airship raw materials, components, parts, and semi-finished products. Prices negotiable.]

AAA's Number One Lucky Player: [!!! All materials can be pre-ordered?]

Magician: [@Give me back my 3-star, 5-cost weapon!!! Even if you only use parts and components for upgrading an advanced airship, there are 108 sets available. You managed to find them all? What's your talent?]

Li Zhi discovered that the magician had a penchant for prying into other people's private lives.

She completely ignored the magician and replied to the lucky guy: [It can be booked, but the time is uncertain and the price is very high. Be prepared.]

Call me Feng Aotian: [How tall?]

Li Zhi: [Based on your upgrade strategy, the estimated price is between 5 and 10 gold coins.]

Her airship upgrade only cost about 2 gold coins.

However, to achieve this price, three essential factors are required:

First, most of the raw materials were purchased at a lower grade.

Secondly, there is a middleman who is familiar with other merchants and can negotiate prices.

Third, compare the compatibility and cost-effectiveness of various parts and components, and make careful calculations.

She was able to do the first thing because after her talent level was upgraded, the raw materials could also be upgraded, while others could not.

Others can't do the second and third things either. Just because she can use Celia's connections today doesn't mean she'll get the same price next time.

Normally, the minimum price to upgrade a high-level airship is 2.5 gold coins or more.

She takes a commission of about 50% on each purchase, so the estimated price is between 5 and 10 gold coins.

With a monopolized market, Li Zhi felt like he was a saint reincarnated!

Greedy for survival pass: [Gold coins?! What did I miss? Everyone was still using copper coins, how did I suddenly get gold coins?!]

You are safe, so you can directly message Li Zhi privately:

[Hello comrade, I'd like to confirm if you can procure all the raw materials for the flying boat?]

Give me back my 3-star, 5-cost character!!! :[I'm not sure about the materials for planting, but I can get materials for defense, weapons, speed, as well as dragon bones and shells.]

You turn your head safely to look at the person next to you.

"Samsung's five-cost response can get all the raw materials."

The man nodded: "Let's see how much raw material we can purchase on your behalf at most."

The two were in the middle of a fairly large cabin.

Inside the cabin, there were dozens of desks, each occupied by at least four people, all of whom were busy at work.

The deck was planted with vegetables and fruits, while fishing nets hung on both sides.

The airship remained suspended in the air.

The words "Exploration Team 15" on the red flag fluttered in the wind.

Some people were recording the wind direction, some were recording supplies, and others were gazing solemnly into the distance.

"This ship cannot withstand any attack from firearms. Upgrading the armament and defense systems is urgent. At the time, we were short-sighted."

"Sir, given the shortage of raw materials, we have done everything we can. There is still time; we will definitely find a solution."

Someone pushed open the hatch and rushed in, their voice brimming with barely concealed excitement:

"Sir! We've found someone who can solve the raw material problem!"
