Inside Captain Ozaki's cockpit, alarms were blaring wildly.

Her hands gripped the joystick tightly, her eyes fixed on Gomes' movements ahead, her mind racing to calculate the angle and timing for dodging.

"Captain!" Nonoko ran to the U-loader and shouted into her headset:

"We've received the supplies!"

Captain Ozaki breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the three people who had collected supplies come out on the screen.

She slammed the U-loader to a stop, then shifted two steps to the side to avoid Gomes's swung claws, and spoke into her headset:

"You guys go in with the U-loader, I'll hold it off!"

After saying this, Captain Ozaki did not hesitate to control the U-loader and fire a shot at Gomes in front of him.

An alloy probe popped out from the front of the U-loader's robotic arm, and with a muffled "bang," a high-voltage current shot out from the probe, striking Gomes precisely in the chest.

The ten-meter-tall Gomes was forced back several steps by the shot, and a black mark was burned into the scales on his chest by the electric current.

It let out a painful roar and staggered back three or four steps.

Before Gomes could recover, Captain Ozaki, seeing that the other three team members had already boarded the U-loader, turned around without hesitation, wanting to flee the battlefield.

Hit and run – that's their first rule for survival in this world.

If you can avoid fighting, then do so; if you can run, then run, because you never know what even more terrifying things the gunshots and explosions might attract.

The U-loader's thrusters spewed blue flames, and the machine began to lift off the ground, soaring into the sky.

But Gomes recovered in no time.

It shook its head, its eyes flashing with ferocity again, then took a sudden step forward, its thick arm grabbing directly at the U-loader that was taking off.

"Not good!" Captain Ozaki's expression changed, and he pushed the control stick sharply, trying to accelerate the ascent.

But it was too late.

Gomes grabbed one of the mechanical legs of the U loader with his hand. His powerful arm strength exploded instantly, and his five fingers gripped the mech's joints like steel clamps.

The U-loader's thrusters were spraying wildly, but Gomes's power was too great. It suddenly yanked, causing the U-loader, which was about to take off, to crash heavily to the ground.

"boom--!"

The U-loader crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust, and the alarm in the cab became even more piercing.

"Captain!" Misato and Saki, who were already preparing to run away, exclaimed in surprise when they saw this scene.

They exchanged a glance, then turned around without hesitation to support their captain.

"Don't come any closer!" Captain Ozaki yelled into his headset.

"Your loaders are unarmed; take the supplies and go first! I'll take over..."

Before she could finish speaking, Gomes grabbed the other mechanical leg of the U loader again and began to tear it apart forcefully.

The metal frame of the U-loader groaned and creaked, as if it might be torn in two at any moment.

"Damn it!" Captain Ozaki wanted to retaliate by controlling the U loader. She manipulated the mechanical arm to punch Gomes in the face.

But when the fist struck Gomes' scales, Gomes didn't even flinch.

Even though this Gomes is only ten meters tall, its strength is not something that a simple construction site mech can easily overpower.

Gomes raised his other hand and reached for the U loader's cockpit, clearly intending to crush the annoying little metal lump.

Captain Ozaki closed his eyes.

She knew there was no escaping it this time.

Meanwhile, in the passenger seat of the U loader, Nonoko's radar tablet was still alarming wildly. The red dot representing Gomes on the screen had completely overlapped with the blue dot of the U loader, and the red warning text filled the entire screen.

She watched Gomes's claws draw ever closer, her fingers gripping the tablet tightly, but there was nothing she could do.

But at that moment, the radar screen suddenly flickered.

It wasn't Gomes' signal, but another point of light, a blue point of light rapidly approaching from the sky.

It didn't slowly enter the radar range; instead, it appeared directly at the very top of the screen and then plummeted downwards at an astonishing speed, so fast that the radar's scan lines couldn't keep up with its movement.

Nonoko froze. She subconsciously looked up at the sunroof of the cockpit and then saw a beam of light suddenly fall from the sky.

The light was very bright and dazzling, like a falling meteor with a long blue tail, crashing straight down from the sky.

It was so fast that Gomes didn't even have time to react. Captain Ozaki only had time to open his eyes before he saw the light slam into Gomes' head with a "bang."

The powerful impact hit Gomes directly on the head, and he couldn't withstand it at all.

Its head suddenly sank downwards, its neck made a crisp "crack" sound, then its whole body swayed, it tugged at the U-loader with its hands, and then fell straight down, completely unconscious.

"boom--!"

Gomes crashed heavily to the ground, shaking the earth and raising a cloud of dust.

The U-loader regained its freedom after Gomes let go, and Captain Ozaki quickly maneuvered the mecha back several steps to create a safe distance.

Her heart was pounding wildly in her chest, and her forehead was covered in cold sweat. Just now, she thought she was going to die.

"What is this?"

Captain Ozaki froze, staring at the spot where the light had just fallen.

Nonoko reacted even faster; she immediately looked down at the radar tablet in her hand, where a new signal appeared on the screen.

"Captain, there's an unknown signal!" Nonoko said urgently into her earpiece.

"Right at the crash site!"

Although the place was now buried under rubble, the impact of the light had created a large crater in the square, and the surrounding rubble and concrete blocks had all collapsed, completely burying the point of impact.

Despite being buried so thoroughly, a powerful light emanated from the cracks in the ruins, like a luminous gem buried underground. The light seeped out from the gaps in the rubble, turning the surrounding dust a pale blue.

The light wasn't dazzling, but it made people feel very safe.

"Captain, are you alright?" Misato asked anxiously after pulling the unconscious Gomes aside, maneuvering the secondary control lever of the U loader.

She and Saki also saw the light just now, and they were both stunned and couldn't react for a long time.

"No, I'm fine. Let's see what that glowing thing is first."

Captain Ozaki quickly responded, then maneuvered the U-loader to stand up and walk to the side of the ruins.

The loader's robotic arm carefully pried open the rubble, removing the concrete blocks and steel bars that were pressing down on it piece by piece.

As the ruins were cleared away bit by bit, the blue light grew brighter and stronger.

Finally, when the last piece of rubble was removed, a burst of light suddenly appeared.

They were then surprised to discover that it was actually a person.

Okay, now I think I've finally finished writing the opening chapter. The dungeons will definitely be more difficult than the original ones.

By the way, Saki and the vice-captain of Deku are played by the same actress. Madoka's makeup artist is amazing, isn't he?

Finally, thank you everyone for your support and patience. Love you all, meow Ciallo~(∠・ω<)⌒☆】
