"Yunyu~"

In a daze, Yun Yu felt someone calling his name.

The voice was very soft and gentle, like a breeze brushing past his ear, or like someone calling him softly from afar.

He blinked uncomfortably, his eyelids feeling as heavy as lead, his mind a complete blank, unable to tell whether he was dreaming or awake.

"Yunyu!"

The originally gentle voice inexplicably became somewhat anxious, and the volume increased slightly, carrying a hint of urgency that could not be ignored.

She kept calling out to the sleeping Yunyu, each call more urgent and clearer than the last:

"Someone is in danger, they need you!"

Upon hearing this, Yun Yu, who was still half asleep, was jolted awake as if doused with a bucket of cold water, and her eyes immediately widened.

In the instant his pupils contracted, he saw clearly the person in front of him: Lolita's mother.

Her eyes were still filled with an overwhelming sadness. When she saw Yunyu open her eyes, Lolita's mother smiled with relief, seemingly because she felt comforted to see Yunyu like this.

Then, her body began to become transparent, like smoke being blown away by the wind, gradually dissipating until it completely disappeared into the air, without leaving a single word of farewell.

Just as the little girl's mother disappeared like smoke, the surrounding noise began to reach Yun Yu's ears.

It wasn't the deathly silence of a dream, but a vibrant cacophony. People were running, people were crying out, the ground was shaking, there were roars of monsters in the distance, and the ear-piercing sound of metal clashing.

All the sounds rushed into his ears like a tidal wave, instantly bringing him back to his senses.

He then realized that he was lying in a dimly lit underground space.

The ceiling was a rough concrete ceiling, and there were several cardboard boxes and blankets piled up in the corner. The air was filled with dust and the smell of disinfectant.

He was covered with a thin blanket, and his head was resting on a folded coat, indicating that someone had moved him here and taken care of him for a while.

"Everyone, do as your sister taught you, quickly hide inside the air-raid shelter!"

A woman's anxious voice came from outside, followed by an increasingly violent tremor. Dust fell from the ceiling and landed on Yun Yu's face.

His head was still a little dizzy, and the astrolabe on his chest felt slightly hot.

Shaking his head, Yun Yu leaned against the wall and stood up, staggering a couple of steps as he walked toward the direction from which the sound came.

At the entrance to the air-raid shelter, a young woman was squatting there, pushing the children into the shelter one by one.

Risa Ozaki's forehead was covered in sweat, and her face was smeared with dust, but her eyes were resolute as she pushed the child inside, shouting loudly:

"Quick! Get inside! Move in! Don't stop at the entrance!"

"What about the older sisters? What will happen to them?"

When they took shelter in the air-raid shelter, Xiao Wu obediently followed the training instructions and hid inside, but he also innocently asked the older sister who was guiding them a question.

He tilted his head back, his big eyes filled with confusion and worry, his little hands tightly gripping Risa's clothes, refusing to let go.

Upon hearing this, Risa Ozaki paused for a moment.

She looked at Xiao Wu's dirty but earnest little face, then at the other children watching her behind her, and finally gave a gentle smile. She reached out and patted Xiao Wu's head, her voice very soft and gentle:

"You older sisters are going to lure the monster away. Be good and wait for us to open the bomb shelter door, okay?"

She spoke casually, as if she were talking about something trivial, but anyone could hear that her voice was trembling.

Some children nodded as if they understood, while others choked up and cried, their little shoulders trembling.

They had clearly realized that the older sisters who had been taking care of them, sharing their food, and telling them stories were about to do something very dangerous.

"Sister..." a little girl cried, grabbing Risa's hand.

"Sister, don't go..."

"Sweetie, I'll be back soon." Risa knelt down, hugged the little girl, and then gently pushed her away.

"Go inside quickly, and be a good boy."

After explaining things to the children, Risa stood up resolutely, intending to close the door of the air-raid shelter before helping the other team members.

But the moment she turned around, she suddenly felt something watching her.

She turned around abruptly and discovered that the person her sister and the others had rescued from the ruins had actually woken up.

He leaned against the wall of the air-raid shelter, his face still pale and his eyes tired, but his eyes were bright, brighter than someone who had just woken up from a coma.

He looked at her, then at the children in the air-raid shelter, without saying a word.

"You...you're awake?" Risa looked at him in surprise, then quickly realized what was happening and greeted him:

"You'd better hurry and get into the bomb shelter, the monster's coming soon, it's not safe here!"

She assumed the man was a local survivor who, like the children, needed to take refuge in an air-raid shelter.

But Yunyu simply left the wall he was leaning against, turned her back to him, and gently shook her head.

He didn't go into the air-raid shelter, but instead turned his head slightly to look at the children inside who were secretly watching him.

His voice, though tired and hoarse from just waking up, carried an unprecedented strength as he asked, word by word:

"Do you want to protect your older sisters?"

Hearing these words, the children were slightly taken aback, looked at each other, and wondered why this unfamiliar older brother would ask such a question.

But Xiao Wu pushed his way through the crowd, tilted his head back, and shouted:

"I want to protect my sisters!"

His voice was loud, with a childlike clarity, yet exceptionally firm.

"I want one too!" another little boy raised his hand.

"Our sisters have always taken care of us, and now we want to protect them too!" a little girl with braids said softly, her voice low but her eyes earnest.

"I'm a man! I must protect my sister!"

"..."

After someone started speaking, the remaining children, emboldened by who-knows-where, also began to speak, one after another expressing their desire to protect.

Their voices varied, some were choked with sobs, some were childish, and some couldn't even speak complete sentences, but every word was spoken earnestly, and every pair of eyes shone brightly.

In this world destroyed by monsters, in this dark and sunless air-raid shelter, a group of children who couldn't even protect themselves spoke the bravest words in their most innocent voices.

Risa looked at the children, her mouth agape, unsure of what to say.

She thought she was strong enough, but in front of these children, she discovered that she wasn't as strong as she thought...

At that moment, Yunyu chuckled softly upon hearing the children's response.

The laughter was soft, carrying a hint of relief and an extreme tenderness.

He lowered his head, gripped the glowing Syllable Disc of Sirius at his chest, and then raised it high.

His body was glowing, and blue starlight burst forth from him, illuminating the entire dim space.

The children stopped talking and stared blankly at the big brother who was shining.

"Sylvias!"
