Chapter 171 Lawyers are the least believers in the law!

Lawyers are the least likely to believe in the law! Lin Shen did not dodge.

The punch landed squarely on his chest, but he didn't even flinch, and his chest didn't even visibly shake.

Before the man who punched him could stop, he saw Lin Shen's fist rapidly enlarge in his field of vision, and then a tremendous force slammed into his nose.

Click!

The sound of a broken nasal bone mingled with a spray of blood.

The man fell backward, but Lin Shen didn't give him a chance to fall to the ground. He immediately kicked the man in the chest.

He kicked the man so hard that he flew through the air, crashing into another table behind him and collapsing amidst a pile of broken wood and porcelain shards, unable to get up again.

The third man was terrified. He clenched his fists and rushed forward, punching Lin Shen in the face three times.

Lin Shen didn't dodge. He took all three punches with his face, then turned to look at the man with a smile on his face: "Finished? Then it's my turn."

When the man saw that face, still smiling even after taking three punches, the hairs on his body stood on end.

He instinctively took a step back, then turned to run, but before he could even take a step, a large hand grabbed the back of his collar.

Lin Shen pulled him back and punched him three times in the face without any expression.

The first punch knocked out his front tooth.

The second punch broke his nose.

After the third punch, the man's eyes rolled back, his body went limp like a bag of cement, and blood was seeping from his mouth and nose.

The coffee shop fell silent.

Lin Shen stepped over the limp body, patted non-existent dust off his palms, and glanced back at Eri Kisaki, who was leaning against the table, panting heavily.

He chuckled, his tone teasing: "Attorney Fei, you're already this tired after only a short while? You need to work out more."

Eri Kisaki leaned against the table, her chest heaving violently, her hair disheveled from sweat.

She was panting as she reached up and gathered her stray hairs behind her ears, then straightened her crooked collar and adjusted her glasses.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, then looked up at Lin Shen, her tone carrying a hint of reluctant but undeniable gratitude:

"You're right, President Lin. I've been too busy lately, and I've fallen behind in my training..."

She paused for a moment, then added, "Also, thank you for your help."

Lin Shen waved his hand casually, "You're too kind. The main problem is that they were causing trouble in my shop. If I don't take them down, I won't be able to keep this shop open."

After he finished speaking, he walked over to the man who was still clutching his broken leg and wailing, squatted down, grabbed the man's collar, lifted his upper body off the ground, and said slowly:

"You've ruined my shop like this, so tell me, how much compensation are you planning to pay?"

Akemi spoke up as if on cue.

She stood behind the bar, and somehow produced a calculator. Her fingers flew across the keys, and then she looked up and announced the numbers in a very professional tone:

"The damaged items include: three tables, six chairs, four coffee cups, two coffee pots, and a floor lamp. All of these are high-end imported goods, with a total value of 5.12 million yen."

"I'll round it down for you, five million will do."

Upon hearing the number, the man with the broken leg paled in pain, his face contorted with even more terror: "Five million?! You're a rip-off!"

Lin Shen squatted down in front of him, his smile gentle and composed: "That's how luxury goods are priced."

"You think it's too expensive? I think it's too expensive too!"

The man's voice began to tremble: "I...I don't have that much money!"

Lin Shen patted his face, his tone still gentle: "It's okay if you don't have money, have the people behind you pay for it."

The man gritted his teeth, his eyes flickered, and his tone hardened: "What people behind you? I don't know what you're talking about!"

Eri Kisaki had tidied her clothes and hair, straightened her glasses, and resumed her demeanor as an elite female lawyer.

She walked over to Lin Shen, glanced down at the man who was still being stubborn, and gave him a piece of advice in a cold tone: "This kind of person is probably a gangster. He'll do things for money and won't betray his employer."

"They were all prepared to go to jail."

"Don't waste any more time on them, just call the police."

He squatted down, looked up at her, and laughed: "Call the police? What's the use of calling the police? Just let them take his statement, and then release him in a few days?"

He shook his head. "I'm used to handling my own problems."

Upon hearing this, Eri Kisaki frowned slightly.

Her tone carried a hint of disapproval: "President Lin, using vigilante justice is illegal."

Lin Shen stood up, looking down at the man huddled on the ground, his tone casual as if he were chatting: "Illegal? They broke into my shop, beat people up, and smashed things, and that's not illegal?"

Eri Kisaki persisted, "They broke the law and will be punished by law. But if you break the law, then you are standing against the law."

Lin Shen smiled after hearing these words.

He turned around, looked at Eri Kisaki, and said slowly, "Attorney Kisaki, we're all sensible people, so there's no need for those polite formalities."

"The law is indeed very useful when dealing with ordinary people."

"But it doesn't work so well when dealing with certain groups."

"Having been a lawyer for so many years, you should know this better than I do."

Eri Kisaki fell silent.

She did not refute it.

She knew in her heart that every word Lin Shen said was true.

Having worked as a lawyer for over twenty years, she has encountered countless ways for powerful, wealthy, and influential families to circumvent the law, delay enforcement, and escape unscathed.

She'd seen it too many times.

The law sometimes does indeed seem powerless when dealing with these kinds of people.

Eri Kisaki herself is no longer the young girl who, upon graduating from law school, naively believed that the law could solve all problems.

Lawyers are the least likely to believe in the law!

Moreover, she herself wanted to know who was behind it all, directing these people to cause her trouble!

If the person behind this isn't dealt with, Eri Kisaki will probably have to stay in a hotel for a while.

Lin Shen didn't say anything more to Eri.

He crouched down, grabbed the man with the broken leg by the collar, and dragged him towards the back bathroom like a sack of potatoes.

The man's severed leg dragged on the ground, each sway bringing excruciating pain. His face was ashen, and his forehead was covered in cold sweat.

He panicked when he saw Lin Shen drag him into the bathroom!

He realized that the other party was a formidable character, not the kind of guy who only talked the talk but didn't walk the walk!

Finally, she couldn't hold back any longer, her voice filled with a mixture of fear and desperate panic: "I'll talk, I'll talk!! I'll tell you everything!"

Lin Shen stopped in his tracks.

He glanced down at the man he had dragged on the ground, whose face was filled with fear, and smiled.

That smile seemed particularly unsettling in that setting.

He said slowly, "Too late. Let me beat you up first, then you can talk."

As he spoke, amidst the man's terrified pleas for mercy, Lin Shen dragged him into the bathroom, then slammed the door shut, and the pleas for mercy vanished instantly.
