I'm in Detective Conan, and I start with the Grand Theft Auto system.

Chapter 302 Brother, elbow! Come inside with me!

A complex mix of emotions welled up inside Sato Miwako.

I felt a little guilty and a little flustered.

After all, she had never used such an unreasonable method to solve problems before.

She took a deep breath, suppressing the jumbled thoughts, stood up, walked over, and said with feigned concern, "Oh, what happened to you four? How did you all get so hurt?"

She glanced around. "It doesn't look that light."

The four veteran detectives stood there, their faces filled with a mixture of shock and anger.

They've been police officers for so many years, what kind of methods haven't they seen?

Those people last night were definitely prepared.

When they hit someone, they said everything clearly, such as "disobedient", "not working properly", "next time I'll make you end up in the hospital" and so on.

Isn't this just relaying a message for Miwako Sato?

They were almost certain that this woman was behind it all.

"You think you can deal with us using such underhanded tactics?" They really wanted to explode on the spot, but the words were already on the tip of their tongues.

But when he met Sato Miwako's eyes, he swallowed his words.

The thought that immediately came to mind was—since she dared to hire someone to take action, it meant she was truly fearless.

Sato Miwako is young, impulsive, and acts without considering the consequences!

If you really piss her off, it's not impossible that she might pay someone to break their legs!

It's not worth wasting your entire life just to vent your anger!

Thinking of this, the four men's anger was extinguished as if a bucket of water had been poured on them, and not a trace of smoke appeared.

The senior detective at the front forced a smile that looked more like a grimace: "It's nothing, Inspector Sato. I just ran into some thugs on my way home from get off work yesterday."

"We saw that they were young, so we didn't make a big deal out of it and let them go."

Another quickly chimed in, "Yes, yes, the young people are ignorant, we can't be bothered to argue with them."

Sato Miwako almost burst out laughing when she saw them like this.

She understood immediately.

Lin Shen is right.

These people are bullies who prey on the weak. If you try to reason with them, they'll just take advantage of you.

When you show your strength, they actually become more obedient.

They don't reason with you at all, and they don't understand reasoning.

Then we have to respond in a way they can understand—a firm fist is more effective than a thousand words.

Sato Miwako didn't ask any more questions. She went straight back to her desk, picked up a few documents, walked over, and handed them to the senior detective at the front: "Since there's nothing else, then thank you for making this trip."

She slapped the document into the other person's hand: "The alibis of the suspects in these cases are somewhat vague. Please investigate and see where they were at the time of the incident."

"Also, urge the forensic pathologist to release the autopsy report as soon as possible. The victim's family has complained about our efficiency several times already, and the higher-ups are pressing us hard!"

"The four of you are very experienced. I trust you with this case."

"I need preliminary results in two days."

The four veteran detectives glanced at the documents in their hands, then at Sato Miwako's expression.

I hesitated for a moment.

Then he nodded.

One of the leaders said, "No problem. We'll definitely have results in two days."

The others nodded in agreement, and no one uttered a single unnecessary word.

This is a complete change from the attitude of a few days ago when he was making excuses and refusing to take on jobs.

As Sato Miwako watched them obediently take the documents and turn to leave, she felt a mix of emotions she couldn't describe.

She sat back down in her chair and muttered to herself, "The effect is remarkable."

She had just picked up her coffee and taken a sip when Shiratori Ninzaburo walked over.

He stood beside her desk, a look of admiration on his face, and lowered his voice: "Inspector Sato, you're really amazing."

Sato Miwako looked up: "What's wrong?"

Bai Niao gestured with his chin in the direction the four veteran detectives had left: "Those guys are notorious old hands in the Third Department."

"No matter how many section chiefs have tried, they've been helpless. Even Inspector Megure gets a headache just thinking about them. They're notorious for not following orders."

He turned his gaze to Sato Miwako and said admiringly, "I didn't expect that you'd already made them so obedient after only a few days in office."

"How did you manage to do that?"

Sato Miwako smiled a little embarrassedly after hearing this: "Really? I didn't think there was anything special about it."

"Maybe they've come to their senses recently. I think they're quite easy to talk to."

Shiratori paused for a moment, then laughed. He clearly hadn't thought it through, assuming that the four people had simply changed their ways.

Looking at Sato Miwako's face, the thought that came to his mind was even simpler.

Who wouldn't want to give face to a beautiful woman?

He cleared his throat and changed his tone: "By the way, Inspector Sato, are you free after get off work tonight?"

"I'll arrange a meeting and introduce you to some inspectors from other departments. That will make cross-departmental cooperation easier in the future."

He was very thoughtful; he even prepared the suggestion that he would "help you expand your network while he's at it."

Sato Miwako shook her head almost without hesitation: "I'm sorry, Inspector Shiratori, I'm afraid I can't make it tonight."

She pointed to a pile of documents on the table. "I just took over the job of assistant department head, and there are still a lot of papers to process. I'm not very familiar with it yet, so it will take me a while. Let's do it another day."

Shiratori wasn't annoyed by the rejection and nodded, "Okay. You go ahead with your work, we'll talk again when you have time."

After he finished speaking, he smiled, turned around, and left.

Sato Miwako watched Shiratori's retreating figure and shook her head slightly in her heart.

Shiratori Ninzaburo is a good person, has a good temper, and comes from a good family background.

After working as a police inspector for so long, she still can't handle those four old foxes, and she still wants to help her establish herself in the police station?

To put it bluntly, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and has never experienced anything truly special!

In contrast, Lin Shen made a phone call, compiled a list, and solved the problem in one night.

Who is capable and who is not, the difference is immediately apparent.

Thinking of this, Sato Miwako felt a surge of warmth in her heart.

She quickly shook her head to stop herself from overthinking.

She lowered her head, forced herself to concentrate, and began to look through the documents at hand one by one.

The words floated before my eyes, but they didn't really stick in my head. Instead, the scene from that night kept replaying in my mind.

She rubbed her temples, took a deep breath, and managed to calm herself down before slowly reading through each document.

The desk lamp was on, and everyone in the office gradually left, but she was still there, engrossed in her work.

By the time she finished all the work she needed to do that day, it was completely dark outside.

Sato Miwako stood up, stretched her stiff neck, and glanced at the time.

She grabbed her bag, strode out of the Metropolitan Police Department building, and drove her red Mazda to Cafe 221B.

When the car stopped at the entrance, warm yellow light shone through the glass windows of the coffee shop.

Sato Miwako pushed open the door and immediately saw Lin Shen sitting in a seat towards the back, with a steaming cup of coffee in front of him.

He saw her arrive and gestured with the glass in his hand: "Off work?"

Sato Miwako nodded, took two steps to stand in front of him, and said with an inexplicable excitement in her voice, "Brother, elbow! Come inside with me!"

As she spoke, she reached out and grabbed Lin Shen's arm.

Lin Shen felt a little uneasy after being tugged at by her, and said, "Let's talk here, there's no one else here."

Sato Miwako pulled him towards the lounge, repeatedly saying, "No, no, this is a secret within the Metropolitan Police Department; we can't let anyone hear it!"

As she spoke, she pushed Lin Shen into the lounge, then went in herself and turned to close the door.

The door lock clicked shut.

The lights came on, and the door to the lounge was tightly closed.
