The voluptuous and beautiful nanny, Technician Shen fell for her.

Chapter 73: Will they leave after taking the money?

Wang Liping had only taken two steps when the large iron gate of the courtyard slammed shut with a loud bang.

Shen Tao walked in with a measured gait, carrying a black briefcase.

He had just gotten off work and entered the living room when he immediately saw Old Mrs. Shen and Old Mr. Shen sitting on the sofa.

"Grandpa, Grandma, what brings you here!" Shen Tao immediately put on a cheerful smile and went over to greet them, his voice gentle.

Grandma Shen looked at her eldest grandson, her face crinkling with smiles, and nodded repeatedly: "We just harvested some peanuts, so I brought some over for you to try."

Wang Liping was carrying a dusty, tattered bamboo basket as she walked back from the backyard. As soon as she looked up, she saw Shen Tao smiling like a flower.

The anger in her heart surged to her head.

Why is it that when she was double-teamed by the old folks in the living room and suffered all sorts of humiliation, Shen Tao acted like nothing happened as soon as he came back, even going so far as to show filial piety?

Wang Liping threw the bamboo basket under the coffee table and remained silent with a cold face.

At this moment, Aunt Wang came out of the house carrying Shen Ping'an, who had just woken up and was howling at the top of his lungs.

Upon hearing her great-grandson's cries, Grandma Shen quickly stood up and beckoned, "Quick, bring him over so I can see him. He has such a bright little voice."

Aunt Wang quickly handed the child over.

The old lady took it, expertly tossed it a couple of times, and hummed a country lullaby to soothe the baby.

Sure enough, after Shen Ping'an twisted around in the old lady's arms a couple of times, his howling really did subside.

Shen Tao watched from the side, rubbing his hands together and laughing, "Grandma always has a way with things."

No sooner had he finished speaking than the door rang again.

Shen Wanshan and Liu Huizhen entered one after the other.

The two of them stopped in their tracks as soon as they entered the living room.

Liu Huizhen has always been intimidated by her in-laws, especially her father-in-law who is completely unreasonable and hard of hearing.

She quickly put on a smile and then called for help from Shen Wanshan.

"Father, Mother, why didn't you call ahead before you came to the city? I could have arranged a car to pick you up." Shen Wanshan put down what he was holding and spoke respectfully.

Liu Huizhen walked over, and to hide her unease and to show her in-laws how well she managed the household, she glanced at her watch, turned and shouted towards the kitchen.

"Su Nianhe, what time is it? Why haven't you cooked yet?"

The living room was quite quiet, with Old Man Shen tilting his head to play with his great-grandson.

When Liu Huizhen shouted "cook!", the old man missed all the other words, but the two words "cook" went straight into his ears, which were in a state of alternating good and bad mood.

The old man slammed his cane heavily onto the floor with a loud thud.

"Cook? Who's going to cook?" The old man yelled, pointing his cane directly at Shen Wanshan's nose. He glared and blew his beard. "I just walked in the door, haven't even had a sip of hot water, and you want me to cook? Shen Wanshan, now that you're the mayor, you've got some nerve! You want me to serve your whole family!"

Shen Wanshan's face turned bright red as his father pointed his finger at him and berated him in front of the whole family.

He's a mayor, who would dare speak to him like that outside?

But in front of his own father, he could only force himself to keep it to himself.

"Dad, I didn't ask you to cook!" Shen Wanshan quickly explained loudly.

Liu Huizhen was also terrified, knowing that her father-in-law was not someone to be trifled with when he lost his temper. She quickly went over and shouted in the old man's ear, "Dad! I didn't ask you to cook! I asked the housekeeper to cook!"

The old man frowned, and air continued to leak from his ears.

"What? A nanny?" The old man glared at Liu Huizhen and shouted, "The nanny has already been kicked out by my eldest granddaughter-in-law, where are we going to get a nanny to cook! Don't you have hands and feet? Can't you cook for yourselves!"

Upon hearing this, Liu Huizhen was stunned.

She turned her head and stared intently at Wang Liping, who was standing beside her, her eyes stern: "You're kicking the nanny out? Who gave you that right?"

Wang Liping felt her scalp tingling from her mother-in-law's scrutiny.

But when she saw her mother-in-law, who was usually aloof and always acted like an official's wife, now being scolded by the old man and looking helpless, she suddenly felt that all the anger she had just suffered seemed to have dissipated.

Not only did she feel less suffocated, she even felt like laughing.

"Mom, I didn't kick her out," Wang Liping explained, forcing a smile. "She wanted to leave on her own; I couldn't stop her."

The living room was in complete chaos.

In the kitchen.

Su Nianhe was leaning against the sink, listening to the sounds outside.

Shen Huai walked in at some point.

He closed the kitchen door behind him, shutting out most of the noisy commotion from the living room.

The kitchen space wasn't large to begin with, and as soon as he entered, the refreshing scent of soapberry immediately overpowered the smell of scallions in the air.

Shen Huai strode over to the sink, trapping Su Nianhe between himself and the cutting board.

"Is the show outside interesting?" Shen Huai lowered his head slightly, his gaze falling on her fair face.

Su Nianhe shrank back, her waist pressed against the edge of the sink.

"It looks good," she answered honestly, her voice very soft.

Shen Huai stretched out his long arm and placed his hands on the marble table beside her.

He was very close, his breath brushing directly against her forehead.

"You've got the forty dollars, when are you planning to leave?" Shen Huai asked knowingly, his tone casual and teasing.

Su Nianhe raised her eyelids and looked at his calm and composed appearance, which made her a little bolder.

"I definitely can't leave now." Su Nianhe deliberately threw the question back at her. "If Aunt Liu asks, Sister Wang won't be able to explain herself. She definitely won't dare let me move out today. I guess I'll have to keep working."

Shen Huai chuckled softly.

He released one hand, his rough fingertips pressing directly against her side waist beneath her plaid shirt, and pinched it lightly through the thin fabric.

Su Nianhe's body trembled violently, and she almost cried out. She quickly covered her mouth with the back of her hand.

"You wish." Shen Huai's voice was low and domineering, brooking no argument. "Once you take the money, you're no longer the Shen family's maid. Go to the new courtyard tonight to pay your tuition. You don't need to worry about your sister-in-law."

Su Nianhe's cheeks turned bright red, and even the roots of her ears felt hot.

This man acts more proper than anyone else in public, but his ability to take advantage of others in private is simply unparalleled.

"Then have Sister Wang come and talk to me," Su Nianhe muttered softly, her fingers unconsciously picking at the edge of the sink.

Shen Huai withdrew his hand, straightened up, adjusted the cuffs of his shirt, and resumed his aloof and ascetic demeanor.

"Go ask her." Shen Huai gestured with his chin toward the door.

Su Nianhe opened the kitchen door and poked half her body out.

In the living room, Liu Huizhen was suppressing her anger as she questioned Wang Liping.

Su Nianhe looked at Wang Liping timidly, her voice soft and sweet, carrying just the right amount of innocence.

"Sister-in-law, should I still cook dinner? Am I leaving or not?"

Wang Liping stood there, being stared at by Liu Huizhen and then questioned by Su Nianhe, she was in a dilemma and her head was spinning.
