Sent to the countryside, I turned the health center into a top-tier hospital.

Wang Tao's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. He grabbed Chen Ping's sleeve and shook it vigorously, "Dr. Chen, did you see that? Two, two!"

Chen Ping pulled his sleeve out of his hand. "I saw it. What's wrong?"

"What's wrong?"

Wang Tao turned to look at Chen Ping with a "Are you even a man?" expression. "Our health center finally has a young woman!"

Chen Ping glanced at him. "Li Fang isn't a woman? Cui Ying isn't a woman?"

Wang Tao rolled his eyes, lowered his voice, and said in a tone that said, "You don't know anything, do you even consider Fang Jie a woman? You haven't seen how she scolds me. She's like a shrew, and her voice is even louder than Dean Zhao's. Besides, she's married and her child is old enough to run errands. What kind of young woman is she?"

He took a breath and glanced at the office again. The two young girls had already entered the office, the door was not closed, and he could hear Zhao Guosheng talking inside.

"Sister Cui Ying is not married and is beautiful, but she is a rich heiress and wouldn't be interested in someone like me. Besides, she and you are a match made in heaven, and no one would dare to make a move on her."

As Wang Tao spoke, he chuckled twice to himself.

"Alright, hurry up and get to work, we're about to get off work..." Chen Ping patted Wang Tao on the back of the head.

Just as Chen Ping was about to return to the consultation room, Zhao Guosheng suddenly poked his head out of the office and called out to Chen Ping.

"Dr. Chen, come here for a moment."

Chen Ping was taken aback, then walked towards the dean's office.

As Chen Ping entered the office, the two young women had already stood up from their chairs, carrying their bags in both hands, standing properly.

Zhao Guosheng, holding the jar, pointed at Chen Ping and said to the two girls, "This is the Dr. Chen I told you about, Chen Ping, the mainstay of our health center."

The one with the long hair didn't say anything, just nodded, his eyes still holding that cold, aloof look.

Chen Ping led the two girls out of the office and across the front yard to the back yard.

As Wang Tao passed through the clinic corridor, he leaned against the door frame, his eyes fixed on the backs of the two girls. His mouth was slightly open, and the medical record he was holding was crooked, but he didn't even realize it.

Liu Wei peeked out from the next consultation room, glanced in the direction of Wang Tao's gaze, then withdrew and said something that Wang Tao didn't hear.

The window of the accounting office was open, and Cui Ying sat inside, holding a pen in her hand, with an account book spread out in front of her.

She looked up and saw Chen Ping leading two young women past the window.

Chen Ping walked in front, with the two girls following behind. One had a smile on her face, and the other had a backpack on her back, her ponytail swaying on her shoulder.

Cui Ying's gaze lingered on Chen Ping's face for a moment, then swept over the two girls. She lightly tapped the ledger with her pen without making a sound.

She lowered her head and continued looking at the ledger, but turned the pages much slower than usual.

The backyard dormitory area was quiet, with the poplar leaves rustling in the wind.

Chen Ping walked to the door of an empty dormitory room at the very end. This dormitory room had been renovated and cleaned up recently and was originally prepared for newly recruited nurses.

The door opened, revealing the same white walls, new bed, new wardrobe, and new desk. On each windowsill stood a potted green ivy with glossy green leaves.

"This room is empty, so it's for the two of you. The sheets and blankets are all new, and there's a water heater in the bathroom. If you bring your own toiletries, just use them. If you need anything, just let me know and I'll buy it for you."

Chen Ping continued speaking to the two men.

The girl with the ponytail peeked into the room, her eyes lighting up. "Wow, the conditions are so good! Much better than our school dorms."

"You can decide which beds to make yourselves. They're all single beds, just decide whether they're near the window or not," Chen Ping said.

The girl with long, flowing hair pointed to the bed by the window, "I sleep in this bed, and I can see the mountains through the window."

The girl with the ponytail smiled and said, "Then I'll sleep in the bed inside."

She put her bag on the bed, turned around and looked at Chen Ping. "Dr. Chen, my name is Zhou Jie, Jie as in clean. Her name is Sun Xiaoyan, Yan as in swallow. We were classmates at the city health school and just graduated this year. When we heard that your health center was recruiting nurses, we signed up together."

Sun Xiaoyan had already placed her backpack on the desk, turned around and glanced at Chen Ping, who still had that cold and indifferent look on his face.

However, we managed to exchange a few more words with Chen Ping. "We interned at the county hospital for six months before, so we know the basics of giving injections, administering IVs, changing dressings, and disinfecting. We just don't have much experience, so we'd appreciate it if Dr. Chen could teach us more in the future."

Chen Ping nodded. "Okay, let's pack our things first, and then familiarize ourselves with the health center. If you don't understand anything, feel free to ask. I'm in the dormitory next door, or in the clinic in front."

Zhou Jie smiled, her dimples appearing again. "Thank you, Dr. Chen."

Chen Ping checked his phone; it was almost midnight. "Once you're done cleaning up, take a break. I'll call you when the cafeteria opens."

Zhou Jie nodded and began to untie the backpack straps.

Sun Xiaoyan didn't say anything, but started taking things out of her backpack and placing them on the table one by one, her movements swift and efficient.

Chen Ping left the two girls' dormitory and had just reached the door of his own dormitory when Wang Tao ran over from the front yard, a barely suppressed smile on his face.

"Dr. Chen, what are their names? Which dormitory were they assigned to?"

Chen Ping told him the name and dormitory. After listening, Wang Tao glanced at the dormitory and lowered his voice, "I always said the one with the ponytail looked good. Her name is Zhou Jie, and it's a nice name too."

Chen Ping glanced at him and said, "You're just an intern, don't try anything with her. You're scaring her away right after she arrived. Dean Zhao will definitely hold you accountable."
