Chapter 299: Silver Wolf's Game Shooting Tutorial
After Heita finished speaking, the carriage fell silent once again.
No one spoke another word until Luzar slowly drove the car into a highway gas station.
The canvas on the gas station's roof fluttered in the wind, and several cars were parked crookedly next to the gas pumps, their windows shattered into pieces.
Silver Wolf was the first to push open the car door and jump out, grabbing Qi Lin, who was still in a daze.
Then, without looking back, he walked towards a small earthen mound outside the gas station, saying he was going to teach her the basics of shooting.
Lu Ze watched her retreating figure, knowing that the girl was still avoiding him because of the parking lot incident, and didn't say anything.
He quietly went around to the trunk, picked up the holy sword of physics, and took down the zombies that had come closer after smelling the human scent in the gas station convenience store one by one.
Black Tower, too lazy to get out of the car, leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to rest.
After clearing out the zombies, Lu Ze filled up the car with gas, wiped the Holy Sword clean and put it back in the trunk, then leaned against the car and quietly watched the Silver Wolf's figure in the distance.
Silver Wolf's signature single ponytail with Roman curls swayed in the twilight, a few strands falling beside her ears.
She raised her hand and guided the muzzle of Qi Lin's gun, which she was holding horizontally, signaling her to align her line of sight with the crosshair.
Qi Lin held a Glock 17 in her hand, aiming intently at the scree slope in front of her.
Seeing that they didn't have any targets to shoot at, Lu Ze went around to the convenience store's trash cans and rummaged through them, finding a few empty cans and mineral water bottles.
"Use these as targets first."
He handed the jar to Silver Wolf and then prepared to return to the car.
As a result, Silver Wolf snatched the bottle away and glared at him.
The fact that he's glaring at people means at least he's not avoiding him anymore.
I'm not afraid of her sulking, I'm afraid of her ignoring me.
At this moment, Lu Ze breathed a sigh of relief and decided not to leave. He simply stood aside and watched them practice.
Qi Lin followed the steps that Silver Wolf had just taught her.
Pull back the slide to confirm the chamber is empty, load the magazine, pull back the slide to chamber a round, disengage the safety, and aim the gun.
Although his movements were clumsy, he performed each step meticulously, clearly having memorized every word Silver Wolf had taught him.
Silver Wolf stood slightly behind and to the side of her, arms crossed, not in a hurry to give instructions, but waiting until she had assumed the correct posture before speaking:
"Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, but not locked. Grip the gun with both hands, with your dominant hand slightly higher and your supporting hand covering the fingers of your dominant hand."
Qi Lin adjusted her posture as instructed.
"Okay, aim at that green can. Align the crosshair with the target, slow your breathing, and when you pull the trigger, don't pull hard, apply even pressure."
Qi Lin aimed for two seconds and pulled the trigger.
Gunshots rang out across the open plain, their echoes reverberating beneath the clouds.
The bullet struck a rock about half a meter to the right of the can, sending up a small amount of gravel.
She frowned slightly, lowered her gun, glanced at the landing point, took a deep breath, adjusted her posture, and then raised her gun again.
The second shot grazed the edge of the can, causing it to sway but not fall over.
"That's progress," Silver Wolf commented. "You've improved by more than half a meter in landing distance. Let's try again."
Upon hearing this, Qi Lin pulled the trigger again.
The can flew up with a thud, tumbled twice in the air, and clattered as it rolled into the pile of rubble.
"You hit it!" Her voice was filled with surprise.
Silver Wolf nodded, seemingly satisfied with his teaching results.
"Although there are a lot of unnecessary movements, at least I can hit the target. After that, I can quickly accumulate experience points by killing more zombies."
She still treats reality like a game; once she's learned the skills, all that's left is to practice them to improve her proficiency.
Lu Ze glanced at the sky, which was gradually darkening.
"It's getting late, we should get going. Let's try to reach that manor you mentioned before dark."
Silver Wolf remained silent, only staring at him intently.
