Lu Ze and his companions drove along the increasingly narrow forest road, their headlights illuminating the mottled asphalt ahead.

The trees on both sides grew denser, their branches overlapping overhead to form a natural archway.

After turning the last bend, a magnificent mansion suddenly appeared on the horizon.

It was a typical European classical mansion, with its stone facade gleaming a cold white under the car headlights.

Not a single light was on in the entire mansion, but it was by no means dilapidated or abandoned.

The lawn was neatly trimmed, and there wasn't a single rust mark on the window frames, making it look more like a luxurious empty house that was uninhabited but meticulously maintained.

"A safe house disguised as a protection agency."

Silver Wolf whistled, opened the car door, and jumped out. The Roman roll bounced gently in the night breeze.

She took out her phone and took a few selfies in front of the mansion.

It can be considered a pilgrimage to a sacred site.

Lu Ze parked the car in the middle of the courtyard.

"Is this the place?" He unbuckled his seatbelt and glanced at the sky through the windshield. "Looks like I'll have to stay here tonight."

Silver Wolf put away his phone and shrugged: "I have no objection."

Qi Lin didn't speak, but silently tightened her grip on the Glock in her hand.

The Black Tower is even less of a concern.

Lu Ze strode towards the heavy walnut wood door and gently pushed it open.

The door wasn't locked; it creaked open slowly.

The air conditioning was cool, with a faint lavender scent mixed in, like the lingering fragrance of a high-end scented candle.

He fumbled in the dark to find the light switch on the wall in the entryway, and with a gentle press, the crystal chandelier on the ceiling lit up.

Warm yellow light poured down, illuminating the Italian marble floor in the entryway, its texture gleaming with a gentle luster under the light.

To the right is the living room, with Italian leather sofas arranged in a circle, an unidentified landscape painting hanging above the fireplace, and even the magazines on the coffee table are neatly stacked.

The entire mansion was clean and luxurious, yet as silent as a museum.

"interesting."

Silver Wolf's gray pupils swept across the corner of the ceiling, where a miniature camera was embedded, its lens pointing directly at the center of the living room.

Most people wouldn't even notice it, but to her, this level of surveillance equipment was no different from being out in the open.

"Everyone, split up and search." Lu Ze gestured with his chin toward a corner of the ceiling.

He himself didn't really care, but with three girls present, he couldn't just leave these cameras unattended.

Without saying a word, Silver Wolf slowly walked along the edge of the living room, a holographic scanning interface appearing on his wrist, with a pale blue beam of light scanning back and forth between the walls, floor, and display cabinet.

Lu Ze then walked towards the workspace on one side of the living room.

A laptop sat on the walnut desk, its screen black. He reached out and touched the keyboard, but the machine didn't respond; the battery was long dead.

A beautifully framed wedding photo sits on one corner of the desk.

In the photo, a blonde woman is holding the arm of a handsome man. The two are standing on the lawn in front of the mansion, their smiles polite but slightly distant.

Lu Ze narrowed his eyes slightly; this must be Alice and her fake husband, Spence.

"Little Lu," Silver Wolf's voice came from the other side of the living room, "there's an anomaly behind the bookshelf; there's probably something hidden there."

Lu Ze quickly went over.

She saw Silver Wolf scanning the bookshelf wall, and a blue holographic interface unfolded above her wrist, revealing the space behind the wall.

A hidden compartment contained neatly arranged military green metal boxes.

"Open it and take a look," Lu Ze said.

Silver Wolf skillfully located the unusual-looking hardcover book on the third shelf and gently pulled it open.

With a soft click, the bookshelf slid silently to one side, revealing a hidden compartment behind it.

Upon opening the metal box, three automatic rifles, several magazines, a few gas masks, and an unopened sample of the T-virus antidote were neatly stacked inside.

"Standard equipment for Umbrella." Silver Wolf snapped his fingers, a glint of light flashing in his gray eyes.

This should be considered official game merchandise, right?

At the same time, Qi Lin's urgent voice came from the second floor: "Lu Ze, come up and take a look at this quickly."

Lu Ze and Silver Wolf climbed the stairs in two quick steps.

The door to the master bedroom on the second floor was open, and Qi Lin was standing by the bed.

A handgun lay quietly in the bedside table drawer, next to an employee file of the Umbrella Corporation.

The photo in the file was none other than that of the blonde woman—Alice.

The job title column reads: Security Supervisor · Hive Surface Coordinator.

Silver Wolf followed Lu Ze into the room, glanced at the photo in the file, and then made a judgment.

"Judging from the current situation, she and her 'husband' should have been defeated by the Red Queen's defense mechanisms when the Hive incident broke out."

Lu Ze nodded and put the file back in the drawer: "Go on downstairs. Don't keep Black Tower waiting."
