Lu Ze carried the stubborn Silver Wolf, who refused to walk, down the messy corridor.

Although he didn't know why she was arguing with Black Tower, he was the one who ended up suffering.

The Black Tower behind him looked at Lu Ze's hand supporting the Silver Wolf's buttocks with disdain.

These two were really enjoying themselves.

The corridor is spacious, with transparent glass partitions on both sides, through which you can see all kinds of experimental equipment and desks and chairs.

The fluorescent lights on the ceiling were all on, creating a stark contrast with the platform in front of them.

Lu Ze walked forward, his eyes scanning the glass partitions on both sides warily, afraid that something might suddenly jump out.

Qi Lin followed closely behind, while Hei Ta walked at the very end of the group at a leisurely pace, as if he were taking a stroll.

The corridor was eerily quiet, with only the sound of their four footsteps.

In the laboratories on both sides, some computer screens were still lit, chairs were tilted to the ground, and the coffee in the mugs had long since dried up, leaving a dark brown stain.

"A corpse!" Qi Lin suddenly stopped and exclaimed, pointing to a laboratory on the left.

Through the glass, Lu Ze saw a corpse wearing a white coat lying face up next to the lab table, its posture contorted.

Then came the second body. The third body.

Scattered bodies began to appear on the ground in front of the corridor.

Some were wearing researchers' white lab coats, while others were wearing security guards' black uniforms; they lay sprawled on the ground.

"Red Queen dried it," Silver Wolf said.

These corpses had no external injuries, but were bleeding from all seven orifices, typical symptoms of neurotoxin poisoning.

"She probably 'cleaned out' all the living people in the hive before the large-scale virus leak."

"So they'll come back to life, right?" Lu Ze's voice was calm.

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a low groan came from the end of the corridor.

Immediately afterwards, more groans rose from all directions.

A swaying figure appeared at the corner at the end of the corridor.

It was a man dressed in a researcher's uniform, half of his cheek had been gnawed away, exposing the white bone. One eyeball was cloudy and white, while the other eye socket was empty. Black blood dripped down his jaw onto the floor tiles.

He opened his mouth and let out a hoarse growl, then staggered toward the four men.

Behind him, more figures emerged from the shadows.

Seven or eight. A dozen or so. Twenty or so.

It's a zombie horde.

Silver Wolf reacted the fastest.

Almost the instant the horde appeared, she pulled the trigger of her P90. The submachine gun fired short, rapid bursts, and the bullets accurately pierced the skull of the leader zombie.

The zombie's head snapped back, and its body went limp and collapsed to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.

As the zombies fell one by one.

More and more zombies surged forward, stepping over the corpses of their companions. Although they staggered, their reckless momentum was enough to send chills down the spine of anyone who faced them for the first time.

Lu Ze carried the silver wolf on his back, his steps steady as he fought and retreated.

The silver wolf sitting on his back was firing at full power. The high rate of fire of the P90 created a deadly metal storm in the narrow corridor, and each short burst of fire was accompanied by the fall of two or three zombies.

Qi Lin stood at the back of the group, her hand holding the Glock 17 trembling slightly.

She stared at the hideous monsters, her mind blank.

"Qi Lin! To the left!" Lu Ze's voice was like a bucket of cold water poured over her head.

She turned her head sharply and saw a zombie dressed in a security guard uniform rush out of a laboratory on the side, less than three meters away from her.

Half of the skin on that face had peeled off, revealing dark red muscle tissue underneath. The mouth was wide open, revealing uneven teeth.

Qi Lin's brain seemed to be ignited by something in that instant.

She raised her gun.

Pull the trigger.

boom!

The bullet struck the zombie's shoulder, causing it to stagger, but it didn't stop.

It continued to pounce on her.

Qi Lin gritted her teeth, suppressed her fear, and raised her gun to aim for the second time.

This time she did not close her eyes.

boom!

The bullet hit him right between the eyebrows.

The zombie's head snapped back, the momentum of its forward thrust causing it to stagger two steps before crashing down less than a meter in front of Qi Lin. It twitched twice and then lay still.

Qi Lin gasped for breath, her hands gripping the gun trembling violently, but she did not back down.

She did it.

"Well done!" Silver Wolf whistled, and with a series of rapid gunshots, three more zombies fell to the ground. "Keep it up!"

Ultimately, the zombie horde was quickly overwhelmed by the Silver Wolf's fierce firepower.

More than twenty zombie corpses lay scattered on the ground, and the air was thick with the smell of gunpowder and blood.

Qi Lin leaned against the wall, breathing rapidly, the Glock 17 in her hand still emitting a faint smoke.

"Cleanup complete." Silver Wolf glanced back at Qi Lin, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "How was your first time killing a zombie?"

"...It smells worse than I imagined." Qi Lin's voice was still trembling, but she tried to calm her breathing. "And it takes more courage than I imagined."

"You've done very well." Lu Ze patted her shoulder without saying anything more, but this simple gesture calmed Qi Lin down a lot.

Black Tower slowly walked up from the back of the group, without making a move the entire time.

No one lingered, as the stench of blood was too strong in the surroundings.

The four continued forward, passing through the corridor filled with corpses, and arrived at a double metal door at the end of the corridor.

A sign was embedded in the door, bearing the logo of the Umbrella Corporation and a series of numbers.

Behind the door should be a passage leading deeper into the hive.

Lu Ze reached out and pushed the door open.

The door was unlocked and opened with a click.

Before he could even see inside clearly, a dark figure suddenly sprang up from the shadows beside the door!

The figure was incredibly fast. Almost at the same time Lu Ze noticed the movement, a long leg swept across with a sharp gust of wind, its target aimed directly at his temple!

Luzar's reaction was equally quick.

He barely thought about it; his body instinctively raised his left arm, his forearm blocking the trajectory of the whip kick with pinpoint accuracy.

boom!

Their legs and arms crossed, producing a dull thud.
