The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 459 Still Holding a Grudge
Wang Yue stopped at a red light, tapped her fingers twice on the steering wheel, glanced at him, and said, "By the way, the live-streaming team deal was signed yesterday. It's a one-year contract, mainly focused on developing Xu Momo. We'll start with her personal account and film content according to the plan. She has a good image and temperament, and the team has a lot of confidence in her."
"What about the content direction?"
"Initially, we'll focus on a lifestyle approach, filming her daily life and professional work, without rushing to monetize. The team suggested waiting until we have a large following before gradually introducing product sales. We need to take it slow and avoid selling products right away, as that could easily lead to a loss of followers."
Lin Feng nodded. "Let her get started. Keep an eye on the content direction and make sure it doesn't go astray. Don't rush the sales; focus on building a solid foundation for the account first. How's she doing right now?"
"She's very proactive and seems to really enjoy the job. After signing the contract yesterday, she talked with the content team for over two hours, listing out all her ideas. The team said she was very cooperative."
"That's good."
Wang Yue turned right at the next intersection, and the car entered the airport expressway.
Morning light streamed in through the side window, casting a bright beam on the dashboard. She glanced at Lin Feng, then asked, "How many days are you staying in Jiangnan Province this time?"
"Four or five days, I guess." Lin Feng leaned back in his seat, looking at the highway stretching out ahead. "Let's meet with BYD first; there are other things to do later."
It wasn't specified what it was about. Wang Yue didn't press for details, simply nodded, and increased the car's speed to 110 km/h.
Upon arriving at the airport, Wang Yue parked the car in the temporary parking area on the departure level, turned off the engine, and helped him take the luggage bag off the back seat.
Lin Feng took the bag, stood next to the car door, and made eye contact with her for a second.
Keep an eye on things at the company; call me anytime if anything happens.
"Okay." Wang Yue took half a step forward, straightened the folds of his shirt collar, and patted off imaginary dust from his shoulder. "Have a safe trip. Send me a message when you arrive."
Lin Feng leaned down and kissed her on the corner of her mouth, then picked up his bag and turned to walk into the terminal. There weren't many people at the security checkpoint. After passing through security, he found a window seat in the waiting area and sat down, scrolling through his phone.
Ye Qinghan's message box was still showing the one from yesterday afternoon; she hadn't replied. He sent another message: "I've boarded the plane. I'll let you know when I arrive." After sending it, he put his phone in his pocket, leaned back in his seat, and closed his eyes for a while.
After boarding, find a seat and sit down.
The flight wasn't long, just over an hour. After takeoff, he leaned back in his seat and dozed off for a while. Midway through the flight, the plane encountered a short stretch of turbulence, and he opened his eyes to look out the window—the clouds stretched out like a white blanket below the window, and sunlight shone through the edges of the clouds, casting a bright edge on the wings.
As the plane landed, he turned on his phone, and the hotel's pick-up notification had already popped up. Walking out of the arrivals exit, a driver in a white shirt stood at the front of the waiting crowd, holding a sign with his name on it. Seeing him approach, the driver gave a slight bow and said, "Mr. Lin, the car is waiting outside."
The car took forty minutes to reach the hotel.
After checking in, he opened the room door. The room was larger than he had imagined, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing a river. Several cargo ships were moving slowly on the river, and on the opposite bank was a cluster of low-rise buildings, their staggered roofs displaying different shades of gray in the afternoon sunlight.
I put my bag on the shelf, stood by the window and looked at the river view for a moment, then took my phone out of my pocket.
Ye Qinghan noticed an unread message in his message box. He opened it and saw that it was sent by her ten minutes ago.
"I was in a meeting and didn't check my phone. It's good to have arrived. Are you satisfied with the hotel?"
He replied with two words: "Pretty good."
This time she replied quickly: "That's good. Do you have time tonight?"
"Yes, is there? Should you come, or should I go?"
We'll see how things go then.
Lin Feng smiled as he read the message.
I put my phone on the bedside table, rummaged through my bag for a clean shirt, changed into it, and straightened my collar in front of the mirror. I grabbed my phone and room key and went out. The carpet in the hallway was silent underfoot, and the floor numbers jumped down one by one as the elevator descended.
A few men and women in formal attire were scattered around the lobby, chatting in the sofa area. They seemed to be the same group who had come for the meeting.
Walking through the lobby towards the entrance, I pushed open the glass door. The sun was shining brightly outside. It was already late autumn in Hehai, but the weather in Jiangnan still carried a bit of the lingering warmth of late summer.
After sending a message in the group chat, I headed to my destination.
The restaurant is located in an alley next to the hotel. It has a small storefront with a dark wooden plaque hanging on the blue brick wall, on which the restaurant's name is engraved in gold lettering.
Pushing open the door reveals a hidden world inside. Passing through a moon gate, the backyard is a small courtyard with a glass roof, planted with several clumps of bamboo. Light shines down from above, casting a pale green halo on the bluestone floor.
The private room was at the end of the corridor. The round table could seat ten people, the air conditioning was already on, and there were several cold dishes and an opened bottle of local yellow wine on the table.
Lin Feng arrived first and sat down by the window, where a waiter poured him a cup of tea. About ten minutes later, people started coming in one after another. Vice President Zhang from Tianlong Group arrived with two other people, along with the technical backbone and financial manager of Shu Ke's project team.
After everyone sat down, they exchanged a few pleasantries and the conversation ranged from their experiences on the high-speed train to local Suzhou cuisine, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Dishes were served one after another: stir-fried shrimp, squirrel-shaped mandarin fish, braised eel in sizzling oil, and crab roe tofu, filling half the table.
Lin Feng picked up his glass and stood up. "We'll officially start contacting BYD tomorrow. As per our previous division of labor, the technical team will coordinate with them on production line parameters and platform solutions, while the business team will discuss licensing fees and cooperation frameworks. This is the first time our two companies have collaborated on a project of this scale. We'll strive to secure as many benefits as possible. Thank you all for your hard work." He finished his glass and downed his drink. The others also stood up and clinked glasses.
After a few rounds of drinks, the conversation at the table started to wander.
Vice President Zhang chatted with key technical personnel about BYD's battery technology roadmap, discussing everything from the energy density of the blade battery to the business model of tiered utilization. The finance manager sat quietly eating, occasionally interjecting with a question or two about cost calculations. Lin Feng didn't say much, sitting there slowly sipping his tea, listening to everyone's discussion, and then refilling his cup.
The meal lasted for almost two hours before we parted ways.
After paying the bill, Lin Feng said goodbye to the group at the restaurant entrance. "Meet in the hotel lobby at 8:30 tomorrow morning and leave on time." Everyone responded and walked off in twos and threes towards their respective accommodations.
Lin Feng stood at the restaurant entrance, lit a cigarette, and took a few puffs.
It was almost 2:30 when we got back to the hotel.
I took a shower, and before I could even tie the towel around my waist properly, my phone vibrated twice.
Shen Wanyu sent: "Brother Feng, I did a lot of research today. Some models have really beautiful breasts, but it seems like they've all had work done. Do you think my naturally small breasts are the only option, like getting augmentation?"
The message immediately followed: "Forget it, I'm afraid of pain. Let's see if there's a healthier way. I've made an appointment at a nutrition center this weekend; I heard they have special programs for building muscle and fat. Do you think I should also get a personal trainer to work on my chest muscles?"
Lin Feng dried his hair and typed with one hand: "You're fine as you are, don't mess around."
"That's not what you said when you touched me," Shen Wanyu replied instantly, with a mischievous smile.
Lin Feng shook his head helplessly.
I don't know what this girl is thinking all day. I just casually said "a little small," why is she holding a grudge?
