The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 509 Unfathomable
"It's not that bad." Lin Feng leaned back in his chair, flipping the tablet over. "It's just a bit unexpected. Someone like you shouldn't..."
"Shouldn't what?" Ouyang Qian chimed in, her tone laced with a lazy teasing. "Shouldn't I be a virgin in my thirties? Or do you think that with a figure like mine, I should have been with countless men by now?"
"You said it yourself, I didn't say that."
Ouyang Qian chuckled, curled her legs up in a different direction, and turned to face him. "You know my ex-husband was impotent. But there's something else I haven't mentioned—I've never actively wanted anything myself. No impulses, no curiosity, and certainly no so-called needs. So these years have just passed by like this, and I have no regrets."
"So you just said that kissing me is okay—"
"I said it's okay, not that I like it," Ouyang Qian corrected him. "They're two different things. The act of kissing itself doesn't bother me, but that doesn't mean I have any feelings for you. Don't overthink it."
"I didn't think too much about it." Lin Feng picked up the tablet, opened the Gomoku game again, and said, "Let's continue. The loser of this round can make a request."
Ouyang Qian glanced at the screen and did not refuse.
The two played a few more rounds, each winning and losing. Lin Feng's questions became increasingly direct, and Ouyang Qian's answers became increasingly frank. She rarely looked away while speaking, without any probing or reservation.
"Let me ask you one more question," Ouyang Qian placed a piece on the tablet, "Do the eight women around you know each other?"
"I know some of it, but not all of it." Lin Feng drew a circle on the screen. "Some of them I know, and some I don't live in the same city."
"Then they won't make a scene?"
"No way! Maybe I'm just more charming."
"You're quite narcissistic," Ouyang Qian thought for a moment, then asked again, "Do you feel tired? Not physically tired, but tired from maintaining these relationships."
"Sometimes," Raymond Lam put down his pen, "but every relationship has its own place, and not everything can be compared."
Ouyang Qian nodded and didn't press further. She looked down at the chessboard for a while, then suddenly said, "You're quite an interesting person. You don't seem like a good person, but you're not quite what others describe you as."
What does it mean to "look like a bad person"?
"You're straightforward in your work; you talk about interests when it's time to talk about interests, and you're serious when it's time to be serious. That's why I'm willing to go on business trips with you." Ouyang Qian put her pen on the tablet. "Alright, chess isn't fun anymore, let's try something different. I've asked enough truth or dare questions, how about some real or no dare?"
Lin Feng looked at her. "What kind of adventure are you planning?"
Ouyang Qian put her legs down, sat up straight, and looked into his eyes. "You have to win three rounds against me first. We'll talk after you win."
Lin Feng took the tablet back and started a new game.
But Ouyang Qian's chess style suddenly changed. In the first few games, they had wins and losses, but in this round, she made every move very steadily, blocking his chess path several times in the middle game.
Lin Feng lost the first game, then the second, and in the third game, she blocked two lines shortly after the game started. He stared at the screen for a few seconds, then simply put down his pen. "Your strategy is wrong. You just lost two games to me."
"That was just a warm-up." Ouyang Qian placed the tablet on the small table and leaned back, a posture that made the curve of her chest more obvious, but she didn't seem to notice it herself. "A bet is a bet. You lost, so you have to agree to one condition."
"Go ahead and say it."
Ouyang Qian did not speak immediately.
She turned her head, her gaze lingering on his face for a moment. Leaning over, she placed one hand on the armrest of his chair and pressed her lips to his.
This kiss lasted longer than the last one at his house.
His lips were soft, carrying a lingering sweetness from the drink on the plane. He didn't move, his hands resting on the armrest of his seat.
After kissing him, Ouyang Qian stepped back slightly, her forehead still pressed against his. Her breathing was a little erratic, but she quickly regained her composure, returned to her seat, tucked the stray hairs behind her ear, and her expression returned to normal as if nothing had happened.
"Mr. Lin, please don't think I've fallen in love with you." She picked up her drink, took a sip, and her tone returned to its usual rhythm. "I just find kissing quite interesting. I've never tried it before, and after trying it, I found I don't dislike it. That's all."
Lin Feng leaned back in his seat, looking at her. "You win. You're in charge."
Ouyang Qian didn't say anything more. She lowered the backrest a little, turned to face the window, pulled the blanket up to her shoulders, and closed her eyes.
After a while, Lin Feng thought she was fast asleep and was about to put the tablet away when he suddenly heard her say in a muffled voice, "Why didn't you move your hand just now?"
"What?"
"When I kissed you," Ouyang Qian said, her voice slightly muffled as she didn't turn over, her words coming from the edge of the blanket, "most people would react. They'd put their arm around your waist, support your shoulder, or like last time... touch my breasts!"
"So...you want me to move?"
"It's not hope." She paused, "It just feels strange. Someone like you shouldn't be so restrained."
"If I move, I'm afraid I won't have anyone to translate for me when I get to Germany."
Ouyang Qian chuckled softly, turned over, and looked at him with only half her face showing. "You've thought of everything for me. What if I said I don't actually dislike you moving?"
"Then tell me in advance next time." Lin Feng put the tablet into the side pocket of the seat. "Don't launch a surprise attack after winning the game; I won't be able to react in time."
"Can't react, or don't want to react?" Ouyang Qian asked.
Lin Feng didn't answer, and she didn't press him for an answer. After a long while, Ouyang Qian finally spoke again.
"Raymond Lam".
"Um."
"Of all the women you've been with before, was any of them with you because they genuinely liked you?"
Lin Feng did not answer immediately, seemingly pondering the question.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Ouyang Qian waited a moment, her tone devoid of emotion. "Is this question more difficult than the ones we had before?"
"It's not difficult," Lin Feng said, "I just don't know how to answer."
"Can you tell the difference?"
"I can tell the difference."
Ouyang Qian shifted slightly, placing one hand under her face. "That's good," she said. "People who can distinguish right from wrong won't hurt others unknowingly."
Lin Feng did not respond.
Looking at the sliver of light outside the curtain, he suddenly felt a little unsure of his feelings. From the first moment he met Ouyang Qian, he felt that she was very protective of herself, but along the way, she gradually peeled back those layers for him, seemingly without any reservations.
This is a woman he can't figure out; her personality is just too unpredictable!
