When Lin Feng opened his eyes, the cabin lights had already been turned up a bit. He glanced out the window and saw a city of lights gradually approaching beneath the black sky, forming a dense net that spread out in the night.

He sat up straight and rubbed his face.

Ouyang Qian next to me was straightening her chair back and wiping her hands with a wet wipe. Today she was wearing a light gray thin knit sweater with a neckline that was just right, revealing the hollow of her collarbone.

The knitted sweater clung to her body, tapering down from her shoulders to her chest, where it was stretched full and firm, trembling slightly as she wiped her hands. She wore dark wide-leg trousers with a thin leather belt around her waist.

"We're almost there." She saw that Lin Feng was awake, folded the wet wipes and placed them on the edge of the small table. "The announcement just said we'll be landing in twenty minutes."

Lin Feng pushed the sunshade up a bit, looking at the gradually clearer outline of the lights outside. "How long have I been asleep?"

"About four or five hours. You slept very soundly and didn't wake up once." Ouyang Qian gathered the cup and headphones on the table together, waiting for the flight attendant to collect them.

As he turned to grab something from the small table, the neckline of his cardigan swung forward, and Lin Feng caught a glimpse of the edge of his light pink underwear, which consisted of only a very narrow strip of lace.

"Finally arrived." Lin Feng rubbed his eyes, stretched, and his shoulder joint cracked.

"Are you tired?" Ouyang Qian leaned back in her seat, glancing at him sideways. "Sleeping on a plane is never a good night's rest. Get some rest at the hotel so you'll be energetic tomorrow. It's your first time in Germany; you can't very well go see the Audi people with dark circles under your eyes, can you?"

Lin Feng smiled and said, "I was worried about you. I dragged you along on a flight for more than ten hours late at night, and we had to start the schedule before I even adjusted to the time difference."

"I don't mind. I used to fly internationally a lot when I worked for a foreign company, so I'm used to it." She suddenly lowered her voice a little, as if she remembered something, and the corners of her mouth curved slightly. "But Mr. Lin, you... you kept your hand on the armrest the whole time on the plane, so I couldn't lean back to sleep. Could you let me use the armrest next time?"

Lin Feng glanced down at the armrest between their seats, which he had indeed been occupying. He moved aside, saying, "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

"You were sleeping so soundly, I didn't have the heart to wake you," Ouyang Qian chuckled, and didn't continue the topic.

The plane made a low, muffled thud when it touched down, then slowed down and taxied, with the engine noise gradually decreasing from a high-pitched sound to a low murmur.

Lin Feng leaned back in his seat and waited for the plane to come to a complete stop. Ouyang Qian had already packed her belongings, with her small bag slung across her shoulder and her passport clutched in her hand.

She stood up and reached for her coat in the overhead luggage compartment. As she tiptoed, the hem of her wide-leg pants rose slightly, revealing a small section of her slender, white ankles. From the side, her entire body exuded a mature woman's charm.

The two walked along the corridor into the arrival hall. The corridor was lined with dark gray walls and warm lighting, and the floor was covered with dark carpets that made almost no sound when stepped on.

There weren't many people in the hall. Occasionally, a few passengers who had just gotten off the plane would drag their luggage past, the wheels making a low hum as they rolled over the floor tiles.

When it was time to collect their luggage, Lin Feng stood by the baggage carousel for a while. Ouyang Qian went to the restroom, and when she came back, her suitcase was already out.

She walked to the roundabout and bent down to pull out her small, silver-gray suitcase. As she bent over, the hem of her knitted sweater rode up, revealing a small patch of fair skin on her lower back, with her waist dimples faintly visible.

She straightened up, pulled out the handle of her suitcase, and walked to Lin Feng's side, her breathing still slightly rapid. "Let's go, the car should be here."

At the exit, someone was holding a sign with Lin Feng's name written on it in black marker. It was a German man in his forties, wearing a dark suit jacket. His Chinese was a little broken but communicative. "Mr. Lin? I'm the hotel's driver sent to pick you up."

He took their luggage and led them to the parking lot at a leisurely pace. The car was a dark gray Mercedes-Benz van, clean and parked in the temporary parking area by the roadside.

The driver opened the back door to let the two people get in, then walked around to the front and started the car.

There was a faint smell of leather in the carriage. The seats were wide, and once you sat down, you sank into the soft leather backrests. Ouyang Qian sat by the window, turning her face towards it.

The streetlights along the airport expressway were dense, and the light shone in from the window, quickly sweeping across her face, constantly shifting the shadows on her nose and eyelashes. She looked out the window for a while, then looked away and glanced at her phone.

"Niu Niu just sent me a message asking if I've arrived yet." She didn't look up, her voice very soft. "I said I had, and she replied with three kiss emojis."

"Is Niu Niu being taken care of at home?" Lin Feng asked.

"My mom's here, along with the cook. She'll be staying with me for a while." Ouyang Qian locked her phone and put it back in her bag. "Don't worry about her."

After leaving the airport, the car entered the highway, and the streetlights outside the window rushed past, occasionally revealing the outlines of urban buildings in the distance in the night.

Lin Feng glanced at Ouyang Qian, who was leaning back in her seat with her eyes closed, breathing shallowly, her chest rising and falling slowly with each breath. The neckline of her knitted sweater was slightly tilted by the seatbelt, making the line below her collarbone, which extended down from her cervical spine, appear even deeper in the shadows.

After driving for nearly an hour, the car turned into a quiet street with low buildings on both sides and trees lining the street. The light from the streetlights shone through the leaves and onto the ground, creating patches of light and shadow.

The hotel was a low-rise building with light gray stone exteriors and warm lighting above the entrance. A waiter in a black uniform stood at the entrance, opened the car door when he saw the car stop, and greeted the passenger in English.

After getting out of the car, the two stood beside it. The night breeze blew in from the end of the street, carrying a touch of the crispness characteristic of autumn in European cities. Ouyang Qian took her coat out of the suitcase and draped it over her shoulders. She wore a beige trench coat over a thin knit sweater, the collar turned up to cover half of her chin.

"Are you cold?" Lin Feng asked.

"It's alright." She tightened the collar of her trench coat and looked past his shoulder toward the hotel entrance.

The porch light shone down from above, bathing her in a soft, warm glow. The belt of her trench coat was tied at her waist, and the hem reached just to her knees. Her legs, clad in wide-leg trousers, were partially covered by the coat, with only the outlines of the trouser legs and calves visible.

"This hotel looks alright," she said.

"I picked this place on purpose." Lin Feng pushed his suitcase toward the door. "It's my first time in Germany, so I wanted to stay somewhere nice."
