The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 57 Simply Finding Someone to Have a Meal
Lin Feng came out of the office building with a light red handprint still on his left cheek.
The sun shone on his face, and the skin where the handprint was felt slightly warm. As he walked across the playground, a boy carrying a basketball passed by him, glanced at him, then glanced at him again, and then looked away.
I just grabbed a quick rice bowl at the cafeteria.
Song Yang messaged him to ask where he was, and he said he was in the cafeteria. Song Yang told him to come to the dorm quickly, as the fat guy had brought cured meat from home, which his mother had made herself.
He replied "right away".
In the dormitory, Song Yang was sitting on the top bunk swinging his legs, while the fat guy was squatting on the ground taking cured meat out of a plastic bag and arranging it piece by piece on a tissue.
When Lin Feng pushed the door open, the fat man looked up, about to speak, but his gaze stopped on Lin Feng's left cheek. Song Yang's legs stopped shaking.
What happened to your face?
"It's okay." Lin Feng sat down on the empty bed.
The fat man glanced at Song Yang, who jumped off the bed, sat down next to Lin Feng, and tilted his head to look at his face. "This is a fucking handprint. Who did it?"
"I told you I'm fine."
The fat man put down the cured meat and came over. "Were they those thugs from last time? Damn, I'm looking for someone—"
"No." Lin Feng pressed the fat man back down. "It's really nothing. Where's the cured meat? Didn't you say I could try it?"
The fat man looked at him for a while and then didn't ask any more questions.
He tore the cured meat into strips and gave them to the two of them. Song Yang chewed on the cured meat, his gaze still lingering on Lin Feng's face, but he didn't ask any more questions.
My phone vibrated at four o'clock in the afternoon.
He Qianwen sent a message: "Teacher Lin, which school are you at? I'll come pick you up."
Raymond Lam replied, "Sister He, no need to trouble yourself. Just tell me the place and I'll go there myself."
"I'm already on my way. Which school?"
Hohai University.
"I'll be there in ten minutes. Wait for me at the main entrance."
Lin Feng walked from his dormitory to the main gate of the school.
The security guard at the entrance sat in the pavilion looking at his phone, occasionally glancing up at the vehicles coming and going.
Standing under the shade of a tree next to the gatepost, the palm print on his left cheek had almost faded, leaving only a small patch of faint pink on his cheekbone.
A white BMW sedan turned from the intersection and slowly stopped in front of him.
The car window rolled down. He Qianwen sat in the driver's seat, wearing sunglasses with large lenses that covered half of her face.
She turned her head and smiled at him. "Get in the car."
Lin Feng opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat. As the door closed, a sweet, cloying scent of women's perfume wafted out, mixed with the smell of the leather seats.
Lin Feng shifted his gaze to the windshield.
"Teacher Lin, what would you like to eat?"
"Anything is fine. I'm not picky."
He Qianwen stepped on the gas, and the car drove away from the school gate. "Then I'll take care of things."
The car drove for about twenty minutes before turning into a residential area. There was a security guard at the entrance, who raised the barrier when he saw He Qianwen's license plate.
Inside were rows of detached houses, some two or three stories high, each with a small yard in front. Lin Feng looked out the window at the villas receding into the distance.
"Sister He, this is—"
"My home." He Qianwen took off her sunglasses and tossed them onto the dashboard, turning to look at him. "My husband is away on a business trip and won't be back until next week. I'm home alone. I'm tired of eating out, so I'll let you try my cooking today." She paused, "Coach Lin, don't be nervous."
Lin Feng's fingers tightened slightly on his knee.
The car stopped in front of a three-story building. He Qianwen took out the key and opened the car door. The back of her black deep V dress was completely exposed in the sunlight. From her shoulders to her waist, large areas of fair skin were visible. The shallow groove of her spine extended down the middle. Her waist was very thin, and the outline of her hip bones was faintly visible at the edge of the dress.
He stepped onto the stairs in his shoes and glanced back at Lin Feng, who was still standing next to the car.
"Come on in. I'm not going to eat you." She chuckled. "Even if I did, you wouldn't lose out. What, do you think I'm not young enough?"
Lin Feng smiled and followed.
The living room on the first floor has a very high ceiling, with a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
A dark brown leather sofa sat on the coffee table, where a crystal ashtray and a bunch of white hydrangeas sat. Several oil paintings hung on the wall, and a piano stood in the corner.
He Qianwen kicked off her shoes, stepped barefoot on the wooden floor, and took out a pair of men's slippers from the shoe cabinet, placing them next to Lin Feng's feet.
"New, no one has ever worn it."
She turned and walked towards the kitchen, the back of her black deep-V dress dazzlingly white under the living room lights.
Walking behind the island in the open kitchen, I took an apron from the hook and put it around my neck. As I tied the belt behind my waist, my chest pushed forward slightly, and the two full breasts at the edge of the V-neck peeked out from the fabric.
"Feel free to look around, I'll cook for you first."
As she turned around, opened the refrigerator, and bent down to get something, the hem of her dress rode up, revealing a patch of fair skin on the back of her thigh.
Lin Feng shifted his gaze and looked around the first floor. There was a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and a study with neatly stacked hardcover books on the bookshelves and a closed laptop on the desk.
He went back to the kitchen. "Sister He, let me help you."
He Qianwen was putting a bunch of greens into the sink. She glanced at him sideways. "You can wash vegetables and cook?"
"I know a little"
Lin Feng stood beside the sink and turned on the tap. He peeled off the leaves of the green vegetables one by one and rinsed them under the running water.
He Qianwen was chopping garlic beside her, the cleaver making a rhythmic sound on the cutting board. Her chopping movements were very skilled; her fingers curled up to hold the blade against her knuckles, the blade moving up and down close to her knuckles.
The oil in the pan was hot, so she poured in the garlic slices. With a sizzle, the aroma filled the air.
Soon, three dishes and a soup were served.
Stir-fried seasonal vegetables, steamed shrimp with garlic and vermicelli, braised pork ribs, and tomato and egg drop soup. He Qianwen sat opposite Lin Feng and pushed the shrimp with vermicelli towards him.
"Try it. It's been a while since I made it, I'm a bit rusty."
Lin Feng picked up a shrimp. The garlic flavor was strong, and the shrimp meat was springy. He nodded. "Delicious."
He Qianwen's lips curved into a smile.
She poured herself a bowl of soup and stirred it slowly with a spoon. "It's been so long since I've felt this relaxed. No social obligations, no pretense, no thinking about what to say or not to say." She put down the spoon. "Coach Lin, do you think my sister has feelings for you?"
Lin Feng's chopsticks paused in mid-air.
"At first, I was a little bit," He Qianwen said, picking up a piece of green vegetable with her chopsticks and putting it in her mouth. After chewing, she continued, "I thought you were a very interesting kid. You're good-looking and shy. It's fun to tease you. But later I found that you're not quite the same as other men."
"What's different?"
"When you touched me on the yoga mat, your fingers were steady. When I told you to press higher, you stopped right on the acupoint, not moving an inch more." He Qianwen picked up her soup bowl and took a sip. "I've seen too many men. They talk a good game, but their eyes are always wandering, they pretend to be serious but their hands are always wandering. You're different."
Lin Feng placed the pork rib bones on the side of the plate. "Sister He, I'm not as good as you say."
"I can check for myself whether it's there or not." He Qianwen stood up to clear the dishes. "I invited you over for dinner today simply because I wanted someone to have a meal with. Don't overthink it."
