Spring Night Kiss.

Chapter 14 Buy a Kiss First

As expected, Zhou Yunqing didn't stay idle at the dinner table; she immediately bombarded Xu Zhouye with questions.

Fortunately, the two had rehearsed their statements beforehand, otherwise they would have been exposed.

Song Qingjia lowered her head and ate her rice, listening to the man's casual lies, and admired his shamelessness.

"By the way, where is Xiao Xu from?"

"Jingzhou".

Zhou Yunqing nodded thoughtfully.

Xu Zhouye then added, "However, if Qingjia wants to settle in Suzhou in the future, I will definitely come with her."

After saying that, he gave the woman beside him a meaningful look.

Song Qingjia remained expressionless and silent.

The more you say, the more mistakes you make. Just let him ramble on. Anyway, we won't meet again, so there's no chance to verify the truth.

Zhou Yunqing smiled and said, "Life in Suzhou is quite comfortable, the pace is a bit slower. Qingjia's father also came here with her mother back then..."

She paused halfway through her sentence, then subtly changed the subject: "By the way, you said you drive, you drive for a ride-hailing service?"

Song Qingjia paused with her chopsticks, speaking before Xu Zhouye could say, "No."

Zhou Yunqing said "Oh".

Xu Zhouye smiled enigmatically: "I'm her personal driver now."

These words were ambiguous, and Zhou Yunqing smiled, urging the two to eat.

She's becoming more and more satisfied with this young man; he's handsome, has a good temper, and most importantly, treats Qingjia well.

She turned her head to look at the girl who was eating with her head down, a hint of heartache flashing in her eyes.

Since his father passed away, the child has smiled less and less.

She had previously worried that some unpleasant experiences from her childhood would make her resistant to close relationships, but now it seems that she had worried too much.

The two are young people, a perfect match.

After dinner, they sat for a while longer before Zhou Yunqing urged them to go home: "Let's go back early, it'll be dark and hard to drive later."

"And you, be careful with your face, remember to apply the ointment."

Song Qingjia agreed and hugged the other person.

Zhou Yunqing patted her shoulder and said with relief, "If your father were still alive, he would be very happy to see you like this now."

As I stepped out of the building, it was already getting dark. The warm yellow streetlights came on, creating a halo of light in the air.

Song Qingjia looked up at the sky; in the city sky, it was rare to see stars twinkling anymore.

But it wasn't like this when I was a child.

When Song Mingqian was teaching her to recognize the stars in the sky, there were so many of them that she felt he could teach her for a lifetime.

"Xu Zhouye, do you want to see the stars?" Song Qingjia suddenly asked.

"Um?"

"Let me take you to see the stars."

Xu Zhouye looked down at her, the light from the streetlamp falling into her eyes like shattered stars. A rare hint of softness appeared on that cold and beautiful face.

He couldn't bring himself to refuse.

"Walk."

Song Qingjia held out her hand: "Car keys."

Xu Zhouye raised an eyebrow, took out the key, and placed it in her palm.

The car drove out of the city and headed towards the suburbs. The road became wider, the cars became fewer, and the streetlights became sparser. The fields on both sides were pitch black, with only the car headlights illuminating a short stretch of road ahead.

A modified Mustang followed from behind, and when it drove alongside, the window rolled down, and a guy with dyed blond hair in the passenger seat whistled in their direction.

"Hey beautiful, you drive a Ferrari? Can I get a ride?"

The man in the driver's seat smiled and slightly turned the steering wheel, causing the car to veer half a foot in his direction.

Xu Zhouye's expression turned cold, and he was about to speak.

Song Qingjia suddenly downshifted and floored the accelerator. The car shot forward like an arrow, cutting into the inside line before the bend. The car body slid along the apex of the bend, the tires gripping the ground, and the taillights drew a red arc.

The Mustang was left behind at the bend, its headlights no longer visible.

Xu Zhouye turned his head to look at Song Qingjia. The night wind blew her stray hairs backward, and her wrist tightened and then relaxed as she shifted gears.

That's fucking seductive.

He tugged at his collar, sank back into the chair, and slowly curled the corners of his mouth into a smile.

"The technique is good."

Song Qingjia gave a light hum and accepted the praise without hesitation.

"Have you been on this mountain path before?" he asked.

"My dad took me there when I was little," she said.

Xu Zhouye didn't ask any more questions.

The car was parked at a viewing platform halfway up the mountain. Song Qingjia turned off the engine and got out of the car.

The mountain wind was strong, making the hem of her shirt flutter loudly.

She looked up; the clouds were thick, gray, and hung low. Occasionally, one or two stars would peek out, only to be quickly obscured again.

None of the countless brilliant stars that filled the sky when I was a child have appeared.

She stood there for a while without saying a word.

Xu Zhouye walked to her side and followed her gaze: "The clouds are blocking it."

"Mmm." Song Qingjia's voice was very soft, carried away by the wind.

Xu Zhouye turned his head to the side, while the woman still tilted her head back, her bright, star-like eyes dimming, making her an eyesore no matter how you looked at her.

He suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.

"Come with me."

"Where to?"

He didn't answer, but led her back to the car, started the engine, and continued driving up the mountain road.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, there is a white domed building.

"This is..." Song Qingjia was stunned for a moment.

"The observatory." Xu Zhouye turned off the engine, opened the door and got out of the car. "A friend of mine said he wanted to see some meteor shower. I checked, and there's an observation point on this mountaintop that's open to the public."

He walked to an iron gate next to the domed building, pushed it, and found it unlocked.

Inside was an open-air platform with an old-fashioned astronomical telescope mounted on it.

Xu Zhouye walked over, adjusted the angle, glanced down at the eyepiece, and then stepped aside.

"Come."

Song Qingjia walked over and brought the glasses closer.

Within a circular field of vision, starlight filled the sky. The Milky Way, like a luminous river, flowed from one end of the field of vision to the other.

Song Qingjia stared at it for a long time, and the corners of her lips slowly curved into a smile.

"Did you see it?" Xu Zhouye asked.

"Mmm." She straightened up, leaned against the railing, and looked up at the clouds in the sky.

Xu Zhouye laughed too, leaning on the railing beside her and pulling her into his arms.

"Are you happy now?" he asked.

"I'm so happy." She put her hands on his shoulders, her eyes crinkling with joy. "Thank you for bringing me to see the stars."

The moonlight is beautiful, and the breeze is gentle.

Xu Zhouye felt a tickle in his throat and wanted to kiss her.

He was never one to compromise himself, so he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him. His gaze fell on her red lips, and he lowered his head to get closer.

Song Qingjia suddenly turned her head to the side.

His lips brushed against the corner of her lips and landed on her cheekbone.

"What do you mean?" Xu Zhouye paused, raising an eyebrow.

"I didn't pay," she said.

"free."

Xu Zhouye pinched her chin, turned her face around, and made as if to kiss her again.

Song Qingjia reached out and covered his mouth: "No, I never take advantage of others."

Xu Zhouye's eyes darkened, and he stared at her for two seconds.

He absolutely had to kiss her today.

He released his grip on the railing, took out his phone from his pocket, and transferred 100,000 yuan to Song Qingjia.

"Can I pay for it? Ten thousand for a kiss, I'll buy ten first."

Song Qingjia looked into his dark eyes, which seemed to absorb all light. She slowly curved her lips into a smile, and said, "Okay."

As soon as she finished speaking, she stood on tiptoe and offered her lips to him.

She gently traced the outline of his lips with the tip of her tongue, then probed inside, parting his lips and teeth.

Xu Zhouye was stunned for a moment, then grabbed her waist with one hand and supported her buttocks with the other, lifting her up in his arms.

Song Qingjia's legs naturally wrapped around his waist and tightened.

Xu Zhouye hugged her and kissed her as he walked towards the car, not stopping even when his back bumped into the car door.

He freed his hand to open the car door, laid her down on the passenger seat, and leaned over to press himself against her.
