Spring Night Kiss.

Chapter 34: Physical Aspects, Not Emotional Aspects

Song Qingjia did not answer.

Xu Zhouye's anger burned even more intensely. He bit a small patch of skin on the side of her neck, applying a little force as he nibbled and licked.

Pain and tingling sensation spread simultaneously.

Song Qingjia took a soft breath, her legs felt weak, and she had to brace her knees against his thighs to keep herself upright.

He realized that his knee had pressed between her legs, pinning her firmly to the wall.

"Speak," he said in a deep voice, biting her lip.

"What's the point of asking this now?"

Song Qingjia raised her hand to push him, but felt his rapid heartbeat.

Xu Zhouye grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back: "How is it meaningless?"

Why didn't you ask about the past two months?

Song Qingjia was truly puzzled. Not contacting him meant that he didn't want to get entangled in the relationship either. Shouldn't that be the tacit understanding between adults?

Why is he now questioning her about whether she has a heart?

Xu Zhouye stared at her for a few seconds, then laughed in exasperation. He leaned down and bit her lip until the taste of blood filled the air before pulling away.

Song Qingjia frowned.

The next second, she felt him gently licking her wound, wiping away the blood droplets.

Is this person really a dog?

"I've been dumped twice in a row for the first time, and I don't even have the right to be angry?" he said through gritted teeth.

Song Qingjia paused for a moment, then said, "Then I apologize to you."

He apologized verbally, but showed no remorse whatsoever. At least in Xu Zhouye's eyes, it was completely insincere.

"If apologies were all it took, what would we need the police for?"

Song Qingjia felt a headache coming on and didn't want to continue this pointless entanglement with him: "Have you had enough?"

"Making a scene?"

Xu Zhouye scooped her up in his arms and slammed her onto the living room sofa. The spring made a dull thud, and she bounced slightly, but before she could get up, he was already on top of her.

His leg was positioned suggestively in a dangerous position, looking down at her.

"That's not enough," he said. "Let's settle the score."

He pressed his thumb against her lower lip, giving it a very suggestive look.

Song Qingjia turned her head to avoid his fingers, grabbed his collar, flipped him over and threw him onto the sofa, straddled his waist, and braced her hands on his chest.

Xu Zhouye's eyes grew increasingly dangerous.

"What? You want to settle accounts up there?"

Song Qingjia looked down at him, and mimicked his earlier actions, grabbing his wrist and pressing it above her head. She leaned down, her lips almost touching his Adam's apple.

"Actually, I miss you a lot," she murmured with a soft sigh.

Xu Zhouye was taken aback, but quickly regained his composure. How many of the words spoken by this smooth-talking woman were true?

You can't listen to what she says, you can only watch what she does.

Song Qingjia moved her lips to his and continued, "I dreamed about you last night."

Xu Zhouye knew he shouldn't fall for her trick, but he couldn't help asking, "What did you dream about me about?"

Song Qingjia released his hand and pulled him to hold her waist. Her rosy lips parted slightly: "What do you think?" She paused, "Didn't you dream of me?"

Xu Zhouye recalled her ambiguous moans and her uncontrollable clinging in his dream, and his throat tightened. But the next second in the dream, she patted her bottom and ran away, and he immediately lost all interest.

"Don't change the subject." He gritted his teeth and removed his hand from her waist.

Song Qingjia felt a little regretful; this man was too difficult to fool.

She sighed, trying to get off him. Just as she lifted her leg, her wrist was grabbed, and she tumbled back onto him. And, by sheer coincidence, she bumped right into…

The man beneath her groaned, veins bulging on his forehead.

Song Qingjia was stunned for a moment. Looking at his expression, a thought flashed through her mind: Could it have been damaged?

Xu Zhouye's eyes were still closed, his brows furrowed, and he looked to be in pain. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly reached out to pull him away.

"Song! Qing! Jia!"

My wrist was grabbed again.

Xu Zhouye was utterly exasperated. This woman kept teasing him, and now she was even trying to physically assault him. Did she even realize that his self-control in front of her was practically zero?

However, he didn't want to continue having an ambiguous relationship with her.

"Don't move, let me see..." Song Qingjia thought he was just embarrassed and became even more worried. If it really got damaged, she felt she would have to take responsibility for him.

As he spoke, his hand broke free and he pulled down the zipper.

Song Qingjia: "..."

It's quite a large size, and it looks like it wasn't damaged in the crash.

Xu Zhouye's face darkened: "Have you seen enough?"

Song Qingjia calmly loosened his waistband: "It seems to be functioning perfectly."

Xu Zhouye: "...Nonsense."

The atmosphere suddenly became a bit dry.

Now that she was sure everything was alright, Song Qingjia wanted to get off him. After all, staying like that was still a bit awkward.

"Where are you going again?"

Xu Zhouye watched as the woman stood up, turned around, and left, his brow twitching.

Ignoring the undone zipper, he ripped off his belt, grabbed the woman's wrists, twisted them behind her back, and tied them together with the belt. He then swept her up in his arms and threw her back onto the sofa.

Song Qingjia didn't struggle; she opened her beautiful eyes and looked up at him.

His eyes looked completely innocent.

Anyone who didn't know better would think that the man was being unreasonable and deliberately teasing her.

"This is my home, where else can I go?" she said innocently.

Xu Zhouye stared at her for a few seconds, trying to discern any different emotion in her eyes. But there was none; they remained clear and unchanging.

He took a deep breath and sat down beside her.

"Song Qingjia, let's have a good talk."

"Is this how you talk?" Song Qingjia moved her hands. "I thought you tied my hands because you wanted to rape me."

Xu Zhouye: "..."

"That's how it's written in novels, bondage play, it's even more exciting."

Xu Zhouye ignored her nonsense and asked in a deep voice, "Do you like me or not?"

Song Qingjia turned her head to look at him. The man's eyes revealed a stubbornness, a stubbornness that insisted on getting to the bottom of things.

She sighed and said, "I like it."

The woman's voice, tinged with a sigh, reached his ears like a gust of wind, instantly dispelling his anger of the past two months.

Xu Zhouye: "Then why did you run away?"

Song Qingjia didn't speak, her eyes lowered, her gaze fixed on a certain spot. Xu Zhouye followed her gaze and looked down, his anger, which had just dissipated, gathering again.

He slammed the zipper up: "Song Qingjia, do you like me as a person or just my body?!"

Song Qingjia withdrew her gaze with some regret: "Our bodies are very compatible, aren't they?"

There was no direct answer.

Xu Zhouye sneered. He shouldn't have been soft-hearted towards her beforehand.

Song Qingjia leaned back on the sofa, her voice much softer: "Why do we have to talk about feelings?"

Even the deepest feelings can change in the end.

Did Cheng Yi really not love Song Mingqian? She did love him, but her love faded over time. At least compared to her career, her father's life came second.

She still remembers the look in his eyes as he lay in the hospital bed, staring at the door, his gaze gradually dimming.

His last words to her were: "Qingjia, don't blame your mother."

She cried and kept nodding.

If she hadn't seen Cheng Yizhen and Nie Qingyuan leave the hotel room together that night, she felt she would have fulfilled her father's request.

But, of all people, she happened to stumble upon it.

Song Qingjia sighed again. She thought that since she couldn't guarantee that love would never change, it would be better not to have it in the first place.

She didn't want to gamble.

I don't want to gamble on myself, nor do I want to gamble on the other person.

"What else is there to talk about if not feelings?" Xu Zhouye really wanted to pry open her head and see what was inside.

Does she really want to maintain only a physical relationship with him? What's the difference between that and getting someone for free?

Sure enough, Song Qingjia's words shattered his last shred of hope.

"Wouldn't it be better if we stayed the same? I can assure you, my body belongs only to you."

"The same as before?"

Song Qingjia looked at him expectantly: "Mm."

Xu Zhouye sneered: "Friends with benefits?"

Song Qingjia paused for a moment: "...That's one way to understand it."

Xu Zhouye: "Heh."
