Spring Night Kiss.

Chapter 96 The Stinky Kid

The corridor was brightly lit. As Song Qingjia turned the corner, she almost bumped into He Yonglin.

The other person was holding a file folder, and their eyes lit up when they saw her: "Qingjia! You're leaving get off work so early today?"

Song Qingjia: "Um, where are you going?"

"Send Davis his resume." She waved the file in her hand. "The team just poached two track performance engineers from McLaren, one of whom is a woman."

"We girls are really amazing," she exclaimed.

Song Qingjia wholeheartedly agreed with this statement.

She nodded and was about to leave when she noticed He Yonglin standing still, blinking her big eyes at her.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds.

Song Qingjia spoke up: "Go ahead and say it."

He Yonglin's eyes lit up with excitement: "Qingjia, you're actually Wild God's girlfriend!"

Song Qingjia: "...Hmm."

"You really hid it well." There was no real resentment in her accusatory tone; it sounded more like she was being coquettish. "Back then, I thought that photo on the internet looked like you, and you actually said there are plenty of people who look alike."

Song Qingjia felt a little guilty: "I didn't say I wasn't."

He Yonglin pouted: "You didn't say you were."

"So..." Her expression turned gossipy again, "When did you two get together?"

"Who made the first move?"

"Did the Wild God chase you, or did you chase him?"

Three questions in a row.

Song Qingjia's lips twitched, and she said, "I suggest you ask Xu Zhouye. He would be happy to answer your questions."

He Yonglin: "..."

Her sister Qingjia really thinks highly of her. How could she dare to ask? Ye Shen is known for being aloof and cold. One glance from him could freeze her into an ice sculpture.

However, she was wrong this time.

Xu Zhouye was more than willing, wishing he could tell everyone his love story with Song Qingjia for three days and three nights, detailing how they met, how they fell in love, and how much effort he put into winning her heart.

Unfortunately, no one asked him.

He had a lot to say but couldn't express it, so he spent all his time on the simulator.

The lights in the simulator room were dimmer than in the hallway, and the blue light from the screens gave the whole room a cool tone.

Xu Zhouye had just come out of the simulator and was leaning against the control panel drinking water when he heard the door open and turned his head to look over.

Upon seeing Song Qingjia, the corners of his mouth curved into a smile.

He put down the water bottle, said nothing, but his gaze lingered on her.

Song Qingjia was also looking at him.

He wore a dark gray hoodie, and his hair was a bit long; when he looked down, the wisps of hair on his forehead fell just below his eyebrows. At first glance, he had a youthful, college student vibe.

But someone's mind is dirty, not as clear as a man's.

For example, right now, he leaned against the edge of the stage, a smirk playing on his lips: "Stunned, aren't you?"

Song Qingjia resisted rolling her eyes, walked over to his side, and glanced at the parameters on the screen: Catalan circuit, temperature 31°C, soft tires with light oil.

He was simulating qualifying conditions.

His lap time was more than a second slower than last year's pole position, but this was due to the major changes in the technical regulations this year, not because of any problem with his driving skills.

"Why did you come here?" Xu Zhouye pulled her into a chair, rested his hands on the armrests on both sides, and looked down at her.

Song Qingjia looked up: "You've come to pick up my boyfriend from get off work?"

Xu Zhouye couldn't suppress the urge to smile. He pinched her chin, leaned down, and kissed her, chuckling as he said, "If I had known that going public would be such a good thing, I should have revealed our relationship sooner."

Song Qingjia pushed him away in disgust: "Are you coming or not?"

Xu Zhouye grasped her fingers, interlocking them, and said with a hint of regret, "I still have two laps to run, wait for me?"

"Then you'd better run."

Song Qingjia ushered the man back to the cockpit.

The simulator restarted, and the engine sound overflowed from the speakers, filling the entire room.

Song Qingjia shifted her gaze from him back to the screen.

As the race car sped along, various data appeared on the screen, displaying the status of each component in the vehicle.

She tapped lightly on the table, looking at each line one by one, until she landed on the front tire temperature curve, at which point her brow furrowed suddenly. The curve had climbed almost two percentage points faster than expected, and the tire pressure had jumped a notch accordingly.

After finishing the two laps quickly, Xu Zhouye took off his helmet, walked over to her, and watched her use the mouse to check the tire data.

"Tire consumption exceeded expectations."

Song Qingjia hummed in agreement: "The track temperature is too high, so Pirelli has softened the tires by one level."

Xu Zhouye pulled him up: "Let's try different adjustments tomorrow to see if we can slow down the rate of tire wear."

He led the person outside.

As I passed an office, Craig was coming out of it, carrying a stack of documents.

They exchanged a glance and then went their separate ways.

Since he transferred Fang Davis to the tail wing development team, Song Qingjia hasn't seen him for a long time.

On the way to the elevator, I ran into several colleagues with gossipy eyes. They all pretended to look at the two clasped hands nonchalantly, then casually looked away and exchanged a smile with their companions.

After everyone had walked away, Song Qingjia looked at the man beside her, her lips curving into a wide grin.

She sighed inwardly, deciding to let him gloat a little, considering he had been in a secret relationship with her for so long without any official status.

The two entered the elevator, and his tall figure was reflected in the mirrored wall.

Broad shoulders and a narrow waist—a great figure.

He really looks good in this outfit; he looks even more handsome in it than when he wears his team uniform.

Song Qingjia suddenly paused, turning her head to look at him: "Lin Bosheng wears his team uniform every day, why don't you wear one?"

She recalled that in Monaco, he seemed to dress extravagantly every day for the paddock, like he was walking a fashion show. He would only change into his racing suit when it was time to go onto the track.

Xu Zhouye replied lazily, "Once he wins a few world championships for the team, he can wear whatever he wants."

Song Qingjia: "..."

"Stinky fart."

"This is a privilege the team gave me," Xu Zhouye said with a roguish grin.

"Stinky brat," Song Qingjia added.

Xu Zhouye chuckled but didn't refute, "Even if you're dissatisfied, there's no way to return it."

The elevator arrived at the underground parking garage. The door opened, and a cool night breeze blew in from the entrance.

Song Qingjia opened the car door and got in. Xu Zhouye went around to the driver's seat, fastened his seatbelt, and started the engine while asking, "What do you want to eat?"

"Anything is fine."

"Not both are acceptable; we must choose one." He turned the steering wheel and drove the car out of the parking space.

Song Qingjia's eyes darted around, and she curled her lips into a smile: "Then I want to eat the food you cook."

Xu Zhouye paused for a moment, then glanced at her with a helpless tone: "Baby, you really know how to give me a tough time."

Song Qingjia smiled and asked, "So, are you going to do it or not?"

"Do."

The light from the streetlights shone through the windshield, illuminating half of his face.

"You finally asked me for something, so I'll do anything to fulfill it, even if it kills me, right?"
