In the name of the true god
Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 109
one,
I originally thought this book would be like "The Funeral," requiring at least 30 words to even be considered for publication, but I never expected it to reach 100+ words ahead of schedule.
Although these figures are still terrible, ranking second to last in my fairly long creative career, at least I haven't continued my downward spiral indefinitely.
To be honest, I've been feeling so frustrated over the past two years that before publishing this book, I secretly made a decision—if this book doesn't do well, I'll stop writing books altogether.
So, if my grades gradually improve, I will certainly continue writing. If my grades are very poor, then as my last work, I will strive to complete it perfectly, leaving no regrets for myself.
Even if only one person is left to watch in the end, please rest assured.
two,
Let's talk about the origin of this book.
My initial idea was vague; I only vaguely knew that I wanted to challenge myself again to write a story with supernatural powers, preferably set in a Western-style early 20th century setting that I was relatively good at.
Later, while researching "The Wizard," I unexpectedly came across the concepts of "the law of contact" and "the law of similarity." I found them very interesting and thought there was a lot of room for exploration, so I decided to make them the core power system of this book.
In addition, the fact that "The Funeral" tells a story spanning hundreds of millions of years of history makes me even more fond of adding layers to a story by burying past events.
And so the prototype of this book was born.
The electrical age.
Contact law and similarity law.
Three storylines spanning from ancient times to the present.
In the first draft, the narrative framework was very solid, focusing only on the "present" and gradually revealing the truth of the "past" and the "even further past" from the protagonist's perspective.
The feedback from readers at the time was okay, but I always felt it was a bit boring.
After scrapping the first version, I revised the second version.
The story of the 'past' is placed at the beginning, and then the 'present' is written. The overall selling point is that it is a reverse Di-style novel.
Unfortunately, the readers' feedback was polarized. After calming down, I seriously questioned whether I was capable of writing a good anti-Didi-style article.
No, not.
overthrow.
The third version suddenly popped into my head the day after I overturned the second version.
It's not good to put the story of the 'past' at the end, nor is it good to put it at the beginning. Why not just write it together with the 'present'?
Jude is no longer about seeking the truth or following in the footsteps of his predecessors. He fights alongside Edmund and they complement each other.
The more I think about it, the more this framework ignites my creative passion.
With enthusiasm, everything becomes easier.
three,
A great deal of preparation was done before this book was published.
The three timelines were sorted out one by one before being linked together.
Since the events have been organized, connected, and closely related to 'cause and effect,' then it's only natural that the preceding text has laid down a lot of foreshadowing. These foreshadowings, and some that will be written in the future, may seem 'coincidental,' 'awkward,' and 'illogical' at first glance, as if the author had contrived them to make the plot coherent.
I hope that when you have such thoughts, you can be a little more patient and read on.
Believe me.
Most of them are planned in advance, and a convincing explanation will be given later.
A very small number...
Ok……
Maybe there really is some kind of bug...
I will promptly listen to your feedback and make revisions...
four,
The update frequency will increase significantly after the book is published. Also, to save time, each chapter will be at least 4,000 words long.
On the first day of release, I will try to update one chapter around 4 pm, one chapter around 8 pm, and one chapter before 12 pm.
I will try to update two chapters a day from now on. The specific update time is still uncertain, but it will most likely be in the afternoon or evening.
I sincerely ask for your support; I would be extremely grateful.
Fives,
Same as always.
I sincerely wish everyone peace, safety, and a long and healthy life!
