Sherlock Holmes is not a warp god.

Chapter 21 Family Banquet

Demetrius didn't ask why the conversation was taking place in the Eden Academy fraternity, even at six years old he knew that it was absolutely impossible for the leaders of two parties to meet privately outside.

According to his father, Mr. and Mrs. Holmes basically adopted a laissez-faire approach to raising their children. At the social gatherings after Sherlock Holmes became the Emperor's apprentice, it was always his elder brother, Mycroft Holmes, who attended as the head of the household.

Given this, it was only natural that Mycroft would join the group after Francessoko became the emperor's apprentice.

Becoming friends with Francessoko was indeed simple. One starts with a purpose in wanting to develop a friendship, and along the way, one must give their heart. Demetrius and Francessoko truly became one of each other's few friends.

This level of friendship is sufficient to establish a basis for conversations between both sets of parents.

To become the Emperor's apprentice at Eden Academy, one needs to obtain seven "stars." The most common way to obtain stars is through studying.

You can earn a star if you rank in the top two in your grade for each exam.

Intelligence is a very fair thing.

Having wealth or power in your family won't necessarily make your child smarter. There's no such thing as a traditional kindergarten; the period before elementary school is a happy childhood, and everyone attends the same elementary school, meaning everyone starts on a level playing field. Besides, the teachers at Eden Academy are generally among the best, so hiring a private tutor isn't very meaningful.

Demetrius spent three years successfully donning the cloak of an apprentice representing the emperor when Fren entered high school.

Looking back, Desmond and his son discovered that Francissoko only had five stars, a situation that filled Demetrius with a deep sense of powerlessness.

He can't possibly learn high school material on his own and then tutor Francessoko.

Freun's intelligence was naturally enough to easily defeat students in elementary, middle, and high school. However, after witnessing how eye-catching it was for high-achieving students to become the emperor's apprentices, Freun, who disliked social interaction, learned the "Doctrine of the Mean" without being taught.

Anyway, the Holmes couple didn't have any requirements for their child's studies, and they were actually quite pleased to see that Fren was only barely approaching an excellent level.

In his final year at Eden Academy, Fren earned the title of "Emperor's Apprentice" and then quickly applied for early graduation.

That's why, while other children were strictly following their daily schedules, Fren was already soaking in the lake.

This maneuver caught not only the teacher off guard, but also Demetrius.

Fortunately, even if he graduated early, he still had to attend the graduation ceremony and social gathering, otherwise Demetrius might have been quite upset.

During the process of eating enough food to stuff three people to death, Fren lost count of how many times he went to the toilet.

While obtaining nutrients solely through digestion may be enjoyable, it is not very efficient.

Continue reading the books in the basement and continue eating.

On the morning after a day and two nights, Floren lay lazily in his bed watching TV. Sunlight streamed through the window onto his bare upper body, revealing a figure sculpted like a Greek sculpture.

His body returned to its original state, but the density and strength of his muscles were completely different. With one punch, Furen could kill his original self when he first transmigrated.

[Refined Level 2 (37/100)]

This is the current limit; any further strengthening would disrupt the body's balance. In a fight, the bones would be crushed by the body's own muscles.

The formal suit I bought a couple of days ago is suitable for my chubby figure, but it doesn't fit me very well now, and I don't have any other clothes suitable for work in my wardrobe.

Fren could only pick out a less flashy wool suit, planning to buy a more suitable one after get off work.

Just as I finished securing the tie clip, the phone rang again.

The familiar voice came from the other end of the phone, deep and gentle, "Sherlock's back. Remember to come home for dinner tonight."

"Yes, Father."

Fren hung up the phone and made some minor changes to the schedule in his memory.

He had assumed that the famous detective Sherlock Holmes would continue to wander the world with his assistant Watson for several more years before getting tired of it, but Fren hadn't seen his brother for several months.

However, Frun could predict that Sherlock wouldn't stay in Berlin for more than a few days. Sherlock's detective career in Schlen was at its peak, and compared to Frun, Sherlock preferred to satisfy his antisocial personality disorder by solving cases.

Dancing with criminals and cases, like walking on a knife's edge, is the perfect life for Sherlock.

Two days later, when he returned to City Hall, Fren felt perfectly at ease and had an office all to himself to slack off until the end of the workday.

Today's workday was as uneventful as ever. However, Millie, who was about the same age as Fren in his department, glared at Fren with a vicious look when she saw his suit, as if she wanted to tear flesh out of him with her eyes.

She was a victim of the border war twenty years ago, losing her beloved family. Therefore, she always harbored deep hatred towards the nobility, a class that only knew how to command soldiers to their deaths.

Ms. Sharon gently nudged Millie, and the girl calmed down a bit.

Fren didn't seem to care and even greeted everyone before leaving get off work. It was just animosity; Millie had never made any underhanded moves against Fren in her daily work, and was a woman who clearly separated her personal life from her work.

Ms. Joel Blair, who was busy with her work, glanced up at Fren's departing figure and thought, "Mr. Holmes seems to have gotten stronger..."

Her professionalism allowed her to discern Fren's current physical strength from the changes in his gait and posture.

"The balance is somewhat strained; it seems Mr. Holmes is still figuring out his own path."

Bringing her thoughts back, Miss Joel prepared to leave work on time today.

She also has another job at night.

It's a physically demanding job, usually accompanied by a lot of shouting, and it can even lead to death if you're not careful.

As he drove through the commercial district after leaving the city hall, Fren bought some soft wheat bread and smoked ham.

His destination was a two-story house with a yard, which looked no different from an ordinary house.

If you were a stranger, you would never guess that this is a noble family living here, and that they are scholars with doctoral degrees, even if you disregard their noble status.

The Holmes family's decline was only relative to other aristocratic families. The Holmes still owned shares in many large companies and some real businesses; living here was purely for the experience.

Without knocking, Fren walked right in and said, "I'm back."

"My darling." The old man who was making mashed potatoes came up and gave Fren a hug. "It's really worrying to see him living there all by himself."

"Mother, this is the life I chose, and I will take good care of myself." Fren patted his mother on the back.

Mrs. Holmes's name was Timothy Carter, and she did not change her surname after marriage.

She is 54 years old this year and looks like an ordinary, kind woman.

In fact, this woman once wrote a book called "Combustion Dynamics," which is now a required course in the Extraordinary Fields of the Department of Fire at Berlin University.
