Chapter 73 Friendship

"I knew you would come, but you're a little later than I expected."

Henry Henderson's smile only lasted for a moment before he resumed his composed and elegant posture.

Throughout his life, he maintained an elegant and restrained approach to his desires. As an educator, he believed that only through education could true peace be achieved in the future.

"Something came up on the way and I was delayed." Of course, Fren couldn't tell Mr. Henderson what happened on the way.

Henderson didn't ask any more questions. He turned to look at Mycroft, one of his most outstanding students, and said, "Mycroft, it's been a long time."

""

"Professor Henderson, I am relieved to see you in good health." Mycroft said something similar to Fren's.

Looking at the two brothers in front of him, who were exactly alike in their mechanical manner, Henderson thought of another Mr. Holmes.

In contrast, Sherlock seems more like an adopted child.

"Let's go, let's go to the auditorium first." What Mr. Henderson appreciated most about these two students was their rationality.

The graduation ceremony was held in the auditorium, while the subsequent family reunion was in another building.

On the way to the auditorium, Fren saw a familiar figure, nodded slightly to Mycroft beside him, and then went over to greet the person.

This is a twelve-year-old boy, wearing a school uniform and a cape. He has his hair slicked back at such a young age, but a small, curly tuft of hair like Superman's hangs down from his forehead. He has big eyes, but you can't see any emotion in them.

This is a habit he developed: not letting anyone guess his thoughts.

Just like a father.

The boy sat quietly on a stone bench under a tree in Eden Academy, reading a book. In fact, he was paying attention to the auditorium not far away, observing every student and parent who entered the auditorium.

"Dermi, it's been a long time."

Fren's face still wore a formulaic smile. To be honest, the mechanical quality of the young man in front of him was not much less than that of himself and Mycroft.

"Fren, it's been a long time."

""

Demetrius Desmond's expressionless eyes turned to Mycroft in the distance, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

The task his father entrusted to him, which has been nearly six years in the making, is finally about to be completed.

The pressure that runs through elementary school will dissipate at the parent-teacher meeting a few hours later.

Aside from the two polite greetings at the beginning, Fren and Demetrius fell silent again.

Neither of them were particularly good at conversation, but fortunately, Fren didn't consider other people's feelings, and Demi didn't have much of an emotional reaction, so neither of them felt awkward.

"Which university are you going to?" Demetrius asked.

Given his personality, he didn't have many people he could call friends, and Fren was his best friend in the school.

"The University of Berlin is in this city." Frenz stood up straight, looking down at the boy who only reached his chest. After all, Demetrius was only twelve years old, with plenty of room to grow. "I'm too lazy to meet people in unfamiliar cities, so Berlin is the best choice. As for other places, tourism will suffice as a way to learn about them."

""

This was very much in line with Fren's character, Demetrius nodded, feeling a slight sense of relief.

This means that the distance between him and Fren is not far.

"Your younger brother, Damian, I've met him once, he should be about 5 years old now," Fren greeted Demetrius's family, having run out of things to say.

"Yes," Demetrius nodded. "I will be admitted to Eden Academy next year."

When Fren read comics in his previous life, Damian was a very arrogant and tsundere boy.

Two years ago, because of Demetrius, Fren and Damian met.

As the saying goes, you can tell what a person will be like at three years old, and young Damian's awkwardness was already beginning to show. He always liked to say one thing and mean another when he spoke.

He thought back to the little boy, but Fren couldn't find anything more to talk about with Demetrius.

"Family is a rare and precious thing," so please cherish it. After saying this, Fren said goodbye, "I have to go to my graduation ceremony. See you this afternoon."

,

"See you this afternoon." Demetrius nodded, and after watching Fren leave, he put away the book beside him.

Once it's confirmed that Mycroft has arrived, there's no need for him to stay here.

Fren returned to Mycroft's side and said to Ms. Henderson, "Sorry to keep you waiting, teacher. You can go in now."

Mr. Henderson didn't seem to mind at all; a smile returned to his eyes. The genuine friendship from student days must be extremely elegant.

Moreover, the two students' personalities are like two magnets with the same polarity. The fact that they can become friends despite their indifferent personalities makes their friendship all the more precious.

Before stepping into the hall, Fren casually took the cloak from Mycroft's hand.

He had folded the cloak and placed it in the car before getting in. He was so focused on fighting back when he got out that he didn't have time to put the cloak on.

This cloak must have just been brought to Eden Academy.

Furen didn't want to ask about the fate of the assassins.

Whether they are caught or not, what happens if they are caught, and what happens if they are not caught.

Fren doesn't need to worry about any of this; Mycroft will handle everything.

This year, there was more than just Furen as the emperor's apprentice. The advantage of Furen being out of touch with the world was that his performance was somewhat good, but not good enough to warrant a speech as an outstanding graduate.

This made Fren feel very comfortable.

Following the graduates' speeches, there will be speeches from the university president and leaders from the Ministry of Education.

As the most prestigious higher education institution in the country, Eden Academy deserves the utmost attention from the authorities. Moreover, many of these officials are graduates of Eden Academy themselves, making the process inherently complex.

Glancing at Mycroft, who was in almost the same boat as him, Frun thought that the guy's public self-proclaimed status as a "low-ranking official in the central government" was largely a way to reduce his influence and avoid unnecessary socializing and trouble.

After two boring hours, the graduation ceremony finally came to an end.

Fren and Mycroft got up at the same time and quickly left the place, heading towards the Tower of Wisdom.

This is a building that is roughly rectangular in shape, with a square base and four tall towers at the four corners of the roof. The family reunion was held here.

When entering the school today, the security personnel were provided by the school. However, entering this area is handled by personnel from the security bureau. This demonstrates the importance the authorities attach to the family reunion.

The instruments used for the examination included both technological and mystical methods, conducting a meticulous check on the attendees, from their fingernails to their very soul and consciousness.

However, when it came to Fren and Mycroft, they only did a symbolic check and then let it pass.
