Sherlock Holmes is not a warp god.

Chapter 85 Fren: Headmaster, I feel my words have touched your soul.

Back at his home in the city center, Floren dialed the garden phone from his study. "Francisco."

It's a good habit to introduce yourself when making a phone call; the Holmes family has always done so.

Upon hearing Fren's voice, the kindergarten director on the other end paused for a moment, then said, "It's 1 a.m. now."

The plants he grows have all changed from a photosynthesis + respiration model to a pure respiration model. Even if he is the head of the garden, he still needs to rest, instead of talking to a temporary worker in the middle of the night.

"We just got off work, how did you manage to sleep?" Fren's tone remained unchanged as he propped his legs up on the desk in his father's study, flipping through a book as he spoke. "After what happened today, I feel I need to say a few words."

Principal: ?

The headmaster rubbed his head. He realized that none of the Holmes children this generation were easy to deal with, even the adopted ones. "Go ahead and tell me."

"I only participated in one mission today, and I've already discovered three problems." Furen held up three fingers to the principal, who couldn't see the other end of the phone. "First of all, isn't the salary a bit low?"

"You only get 500 ducats for completing a task. Considering the intensity and danger of the work, this salary is far below the average in Ostonia. As the gardener, don't you have anything to say?"

"I..." The headmaster was taken aback and was about to speak when he was interrupted by Furen.

"Secondly, after Miss Joel and I completed this mission, I did not hear the security bureau's alarm bells from the time we left the target location until we got home."

This shows you have communication problems with the security bureau. You can't even establish effective and stable communication with the authorities, which makes me seriously doubt the quality of the garden.

"Third." Fren paused for a moment, then continued to the main point, "As far as I know, even outside the capital city of Berlin, workplaces like mines and cotton mills require employees to wear dust masks and earmuffs because dust and noise can affect their health, and the bosses pay for all of these."

What about the garden?

"Miss Joel's gold-plated card has even the gold patterns on it becoming somewhat disjointed. Why isn't it being repaired or replaced sooner?"

The principal felt a throbbing pain in his temples after hearing these words. He didn't understand why he had answered the phone in the middle of the night. "Weapons aren't important. A good assassin can kill with just a leaf."

"The assassin went on a mission without being equipped with any decent weapons."

"It's like going to a restaurant and not getting cutlery. You can eat without cutlery, but I'd choose another restaurant from now on rather than eat with my hands. Or it's like going to the restroom and there's no toilet paper. How am I supposed to solve that?" Fran sharply condemned the capitalist on the other end of the phone. "Is it really that simple?"

"Alright." The headmaster breathed a sigh of relief, calming himself down. This year's assassins were too difficult to manage. "You just want an alchemical weapon, right? I'll have Minister McMahon send it to you in a while."

"What do you mean by 'I just want to get the alchemical weapon'?" Fren frowned and corrected the principal's wording. "I mean, the old comrade on the other end of the phone, with his dark skin and dry hair, you're not saying that right."

The Garden is an assassin organization, similar to the relationship between a mine and its employees. For the sake of mission success and the health of the employees, in accordance with the Ostonia Workers' Protection Law, you are obligated to provide and maintain various equipment for the gardeners free of charge; this is the gardeners' right.

High-intensity missions inevitably cause some wear and tear on weapons, even alchemical weapons, not to mention clothing.

"Miss Joel, the edges of your work dress are starting to fray, didn't you notice?"

"Are you going to make your employees pay for their own uniform repairs after every mission?" Furen gave the headmaster a simple math problem. "If a gardener performs one mission, you save on the cost of repairing a set of uniforms and weapons. And if a gardener performs at least five missions a month, and there are at least ten gardeners in the garden, how many ducats will you save in a year?"

"According to normal business assessments, Garden is a sunset industry that is on the verge of bankruptcy, characterized by its tendency to make empty promises to employees, low wages, and few benefits." After saying so much in one breath, Furen finally finished what he wanted to say. "Alright."

I feel that my words have touched your soul.

I won't say more, but I hope the garden will be rectified as soon as possible. Otherwise, I don't mind joining forces with some gardeners to file a complaint with the head of security.

With a snap, he hung up the phone, feeling a little thrill.

If nothing unexpected happens, the headmaster should be a level nine or even higher superhuman. It's certainly exciting to talk to a powerhouse of that level.

The principal on the other end of the line laughed in exasperation as she listened to the busy tone of the call being disconnected.

This was the first time he had ever had a phone call hung up on since the invention of the telephone, and the first time he had ever been verbally abused like this.

"By the God of Light, why are all the Holmes family children so strange?" The headmaster sighed, thinking of when Mycroft and Sherlock came to the garden for training.

......

Tuesday morning.

Somewhere in Berlin, Matthew McMahon was making breakfast for his wife after getting up.

After hearing the phone ring, he wiped his hands and answered, "This is Matthew McMahon."

After hanging up the phone, Minister McMahon was somewhat taken aback. When did this old man, the kindergarten director, become so generous?

While at work, Fren suddenly thought of something.

A year later, Miss Joel met Twilight at the tailor shop because she needed to repair her clothes damaged in battle.

The garden's employee benefits have improved somewhat now, so it seems that Fren will need to find an excuse to get Miss Joel to go to the tailor shop.

It was another quiet and peaceful day. Furen basked in the sun, the number of ripples within his body continuing to increase.

The [Qi] attribute has also broken through to level 2 today.

Ripples rippled through his body, connecting with his soul, and Fren felt a natural and comfortable sensation.

Before leaving get off work, he received a call from his parents at the city hall, asking him to come home for dinner that evening.

Fren then learned that his parents were arriving home today, and wondered if they were satisfied with Sherlock's life in Slen.

In Fren's view, if Molly Amber is truly the character she is in the show, then her parents have no reason not to like her.

Before leaving get off work, Fren stretched and thought about finding an opportunity to go to Slen City.

As Millie left the city hall, still at get off work, she glanced resentfully at Fren's luxurious suit. She couldn't tell it was a gold-plated suit, but she was certain it was expensive, enough to make her curse him as a rich bastard.
