I stayed with Mu Jingyan in the library until the afternoon.

Shen Ye originally wanted to read books, but those popular science books were really not very interesting.

He flipped through the pages, read a few, and then started to feel sleepy.

Maybe I got up too early in the morning, or maybe the library was too quiet.

In short, he fell asleep on the table without realizing it.

He had a very long dream.

He couldn't quite explain what it was.

Gradually, he felt a warmth spreading through his body.

The feeling was very real, like something was pressing down on him.

He tried to open his eyes, but his eyelids were too heavy and he couldn't open them no matter what he did.

He struggled for a few moments and finally woke up.

Shen Ye opened his eyes and found himself still slumped over a table in the library.

Sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a patch of orange-red light on the table. He sat up straight, looking bewildered, and rubbed his eyes.

It was very quiet all around, with only the faint sounds of turning pages and footsteps.

He turned his head and saw Mu Jingyan sitting next to him, writing on her test paper with her head down. Her expression was very serious, and her pen moved quickly across the paper.

"What time is it?" he asked.

Mu Jingyan looked up at him and said, "Around 4:30 in the afternoon."

Shen Ye nodded and yawned. He felt a little warm, looked down, and realized that he had put a jacket over himself at some point.

It was a light blue coat, very thin but very soft.

It's the one Mu Jingyan wore over her skirt today.

Shen Ye was stunned for a moment. Was this the blanket Mu Jingyan had put on for him?

He ripped off his jacket and complained, "Why is it so hot? Who was the heartless person who gave me this?"

Mu Jingyan tightened her grip on the pen.

She turned her head and looked at Shen Ye with a forced smile.

"What exactly did you do all day?" she asked.

"Huh?" Shen Ye was taken aback.

"Did you read the book you brought for about thirty minutes?" Mu Jingyan asked. "And then you just lay there and fell asleep?"

Shen Ye thought about it and it seemed to be true. He read a few pages of the book, then fell asleep and has been sleeping ever since.

"I came here to relax," Shen Ye said. "Sleeping is also a form of relaxation."

Mu Jingyan was speechless.

She looked at Shen Ye's matter-of-fact attitude and felt speechless.

She worked hard on the test all day, but this guy slept all day.

She even covered him with her coat. When he woke up, he complained, "Who was that jerk?"

She really wanted to hit someone.

Mu Jingyan took a deep breath and began packing her things. She organized the test papers, put them in her bag, and then put away her pencil case.

"Not writing anymore?" Shen Ye asked.

"Today's task is complete," Mu Jingyan said. "You can go now."

Shen Ye nodded and began packing his things.

He put the popular science books back on the shelf and then returned to his seat.

Mu Jingyan had already packed up and was waiting for him.

"Let's go," she said.

Shen Ye followed behind her as they walked out of the library.

The sunlight outside was no longer so glaring, and the sky had taken on a pale orange-red hue.

The evening breeze was cool and refreshing, and felt nice on his face. Shen Ye stretched and felt much better after his nap.

Looking at Mu Jingyan's back, he couldn't help but think, "This guy studies all day long, I wonder if he gets tired."

"Mu Jingyan," he said.

"Um?"

"How about we find a place to have dinner together?"

Mu Jingyan stopped and turned to look at him.

"No need," she said. "I'll eat at home. Huanhuan is still at home."

"Then why didn't you bring Huanhuan along?" Shen Ye complained. "It would have been better for her to do her homework in the library."

"Huanhuan has to go to tutoring class today," Mu Jingyan said. "She doesn't have time."

Shen Ye nodded. "Oh."

The two continued walking forward, crossing the square, and heading towards the bus stop.

On the way, Shen Ye noticed that Mu Jingyan's pace was a little slow.

"What's wrong?" he asked. "Are you tired?"

"No," Mu Jingyan shook her head, "I was just thinking about the questions."

"Thinking of a topic?" Shen Ye was somewhat speechless. "You've been writing all day, and you're still thinking?"

"There's one question I'm not entirely sure about," Mu Jingyan said. "I'd like to think about it a bit more."

Wow, he's a true study fanatic.

"By the way," he asked, "how are you getting back?"

"Let's take the bus," Mu Jingyan said.

Shen Ye paused, somewhat surprised. "Taking the bus?" he asked. "Don't you have a driver?"

"Sometimes I also want to experience the life of an ordinary person," Mu Jingyan said.

Shen Ye remained silent.

Experience the life of an ordinary person?

This is too much...

He looked at Mu Jingyan, unsure of what to say.

"Alright," Shen Ye said, "I'll take the bus back too."

"Your location isn't in this direction," Mu Jingyan said.

"It's alright," Shen Ye said. "Let's get you into the car first."

Mu Jingyan glanced at him but didn't say anything.

The two continued walking and soon arrived at the bus stop.

The bus stop wasn't big, but there were quite a few people waiting for the bus.

Most of them were office workers going home after get off work, but there were also some students.

Shen Ye and Mu Jingyan stood by the platform, waiting for Mu Jingyan's bus.

The evening breeze brought a touch of coolness.

Shen Ye looked at Mu Jingyan and noticed that she was only wearing a thin dress.

"Aren't you cold?" he asked.

"It's not cold," Mu Jingyan said.

Shen Ye glanced at her but didn't say anything more.

He noticed that Mu Jingyan's coat was still in his hand.

"Oh, right, here's your coat." He handed her the coat.

Mu Jingyan took the coat but didn't put it on; she just held it in her hand.

"Which bus are you waiting for?" Mu Jingyan asked.

Shen Ye looked at the bus stop sign. "The bus I'm waiting for... seems to be at the stop across the street."

"Then you should go back first," Mu Jingyan said. "You don't need to see me off."

"It's nothing," Shen Ye said. "Anyway, I'm fine."

Mu Jingyan didn't speak, but just stared quietly ahead.

About ten minutes.

"The car is here," Mu Jingyan suddenly said.

Shen Ye snapped out of his daze and saw a bus heading in his direction.

Mu Jingyan's bus has arrived.

She walked towards the car door, and Shen Ye stood there watching her.

As Mu Jingyan stepped into the car, she turned around and said "thank you" to Shen Ye just before the door closed.

Unfortunately, Shen Ye didn't hear clearly.

"What?" he asked.

But the car door was already closed.

The bus slowly pulled away from the station and drove into the distance.

Shen Ye stood there, watching the bus gradually disappear into the distance.

He didn't hear what Mu Jingyan said, but judging from her expression, it shouldn't have been anything bad.

He smiled, turned around, and walked towards another bus stop.
