A god-level beauty system? But I'm already a god-level beauty!

Chapter 36 The Little Machine's Guidance

Many things in the world can actually be remedied, but the key is that no one gives you the chance to remedy them.

Shen Ye is in this state right now.

He really wanted to apologize to Lin Chunuan and Chu Cihan, but one of them avoided him whenever he saw him, and the other blocked him directly.

I can't even find a way to say sorry in person.

Ugh, so annoying.

Shen Ye patted his head in frustration. What was I thinking back then, doing something like this?

People can't even empathize with their past selves.

Sigh, there's no use thinking about this now. I should just finish the system tasks first.

Shen Ye was almost at the park near his home. The morning breeze carried the scent of dew and grass, and was quite refreshing.

But as soon as I stepped into the park, some unpleasant memories flooded back.

I ran into that kid named Mu Jinghuan here last time, and then ran three blocks to avoid her sister.

That Mu Jingyan, she's sharp-tongued and holds grudges. All she did was pinch her cheek and say a few bad things, is it really that big of a deal?

But it's been a week already, they must have left long ago.

Thinking this, Shen Ye quickened his pace and began jogging along the rubber track.

The park was quiet. The elderly people who had gotten up early to exercise had already left, leaving only a few dog walkers strolling slowly around the lawn. Shen Ye scanned the area but didn't see Mu Jinghuan, and the tension in his heart finally eased.

He adjusted his breathing and started running.

As she ran, her mind raced, trying to figure out how to coax Lin Chunuan and Chu Cihan back.

Lin Chunuan is usually sweet and cute, but when she gets really angry, she's notoriously hard to appease. After returning home that night, the little girl avoided him whenever possible, and she didn't speak at the dinner table. Her usual chatter at mealtimes turned into silence.

Needless to say, Chu Cihan was a pampered young lady who had always had a smooth life and had never experienced setbacks.

This time they're probably serious; they've even deleted all contact information. Shen Ye tried sending a message, but the red exclamation mark that popped up hurt his eyes.

Before I knew it, I had run three kilometers.

Shen Ye stopped, walked to the water dispenser next to him, unscrewed the water bottle, and took two gulps.

The warm water slid down my throat, taking away the heat from running.

"Hello, brother."

A figure suddenly darted out of the bushes nearby.

"Cough cough cough—!"

Shen Ye was startled and choked on the water, which went straight into his trachea. He bent over and coughed for a long time until his face turned red.

"W-What are you doing here?!"

He looked up at the smiling Mu Jinghuan in front of him, his face showing a look of utter disbelief.

The little girl was wearing a light yellow sweatshirt today, with a fuzzy pom-pom trim around the edge of the hood, which made her fair and delicate face look even smaller.

She just stood there, her hands behind her back, tilting her head slightly to look at him, a smile playing on her lips.

After catching his breath, Shen Ye suddenly remembered something and cautiously glanced around.

"Your sister didn't come, did she?"

Mu Jinghuan tilted her head, completely ignoring his words. She stared at Shen Ye's face for a few seconds before slowly saying, "You seem very unhappy."

He continued talking to himself.

Shen Ye looked around again to make sure Mu Jingyan wasn't nearby before he breathed a sigh of relief.

"I asked what you're doing here, don't change the subject," he complained.

When her sister was present last time, Mu Jinghuan was able to respond normally.

It seems that only her older sister can handle this cunning person. At other times, if you don't go along with her topics, she will simply ignore you.

"Why are you unhappy?" The little girl completely ignored Shen Ye's words.

Well, I've wasted my breath again.

Shen Ye rolled his eyes, too lazy to ask any more questions. He walked to the stone steps to the side, sat down, unscrewed the cap on his water glass, and took another sip.

Forget it, I can't think of a solution anyway, so I might as well talk to this little blockhead.

"I did something stupid, and now two of my best friends don't hang out with me anymore," Shen Ye sighed in distress.

He didn't hide anything and simply recounted what had happened recently.

Mu Jinghuan sat quietly next to him, her legs together, her hands on her knees, her face propped up as she listened attentively. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on her head.

Shen Ye didn't know why, but he couldn't muster any defenses against this dazed little girl.

And having someone sit quietly beside you and listen to you when you're upset does make you feel better.

After he finished speaking, Mu Jinghuan remained silent for about three seconds.

Then she calmly commented, "You're in a bad situation, but you deserve it."

Shen Ye was taken aback. He opened his mouth to retort, but then realized that everything the other person said was true. In the end, he could only complain:

"Can't you say something nicer?"

Mu Jinghuan tilted her head and thought for a moment, her eyelashes fluttering twice.

"Emm... If they've become enemies over gifts, then let's resolve that with gifts. If I were you, I'd personally prepare two gifts for them."

A single word awakens one from a dream.

Shen Ye's eyes suddenly lit up.

Yup!

Why didn't I think of that!

Lin Chunuan and Chu Cihan were angry because he had casually given away their gifts.

If you sincerely prepare two more items and personally deliver them to apologize, there might be a chance for things to turn around!

His mind was already racing.

"Little robot, you're finally useful!" Shen Ye excitedly reached out and gave Mu Jinghuan's head a good rub.

The little girl's hair was soft and felt wonderful to the touch.

Mu Jinghuan shook her head as the rubbed flesh was being massaged, then corrected him with a serious expression: "My name isn't Little Machine, it's Mu Jinghuan."

"Okay, little robot, thank you so much this time!" Shen Ye stood up, patted the dust off his pants, and couldn't wait to go back and think about the gift.

"Brother, what's your name?" Mu Jinghuan didn't dwell on the matter of how to address him and asked him with her little face upturned.

"Shen Ye, the night of the night."

"I have to go now, you should go home early too."

After saying those words, Shen Ye had already darted several steps forward.

He waved his hand behind him without turning his head, and walked quickly, as if he had been injected with chicken blood.

Mu Jinghuan was still sitting on the stone steps, her two small hands supporting her on the edge of the stone, watching the figure running further and further away.

"Shen Ye..."

She murmured it to herself, a slight smile playing on her lips.

The morning light fell on her face, making her clear eyes shine brightly.

After Shen Ye ran far away, Mu Jinghuan sat for a while before standing up. She patted the dust off her skirt and walked towards the park exit.

Just as she reached the door, a black sedan was parked quietly there. The car window slowly rolled down, revealing Mu Jingyan's delicate yet somewhat impatient face.

"Where did you sneak off to again?" Mu Jingyan looked her up and down, her gaze scrutinizing.

"The park," Mu Jinghuan answered honestly.

"With that damn monkey?"

Mu Jinghuan paused, Shen Ye's face flashing through her mind. After hesitating for a moment, she finally shook her head.

"no."

Mu Jingyan stared at her for several seconds, but didn't ask any more questions.

"Get in the car, let's go home."

She tilted her head slightly, her tone still fierce, but the worry in her eyes was secretly hidden.

Mu Jinghuan obediently opened the car door and got in. After settling in, she turned her head to look at the street receding outside the window.

She looked down at her fingertips. The hand that had just been stroking Shen Ye's hair seemed to still retain a little warmth.

"Shen Ye..."

She silently repeated it to herself, then a small, unseen smile curved her lips.
