My Magical Card Tavern
Chapter 6: Full View Perspective on This One Piece
What is meditation?
It is a cultivation practice that allows one to gain more knowledge and strengthen one's spiritual power; in essence, it is for the purpose of becoming stronger.
In other words, meditation can be seen as a form of mental exercise.
As we all know, as long as your training plan is comprehensive enough and your training process is serious and hard-working enough, you can succeed.
So if your leg hurts today, your abdominal muscles hurt tomorrow, and your hand might hurt the day after tomorrow.
In short, there will definitely be one or more parts of your body that are in pain.
Let alone going downstairs, if someone accidentally bumps into you on the street, you might stumble and fall to the ground, successfully making others mistakenly think you're trying to stage an accident.
Before Silver Star had even finished his beer, Gianna had already ended his meditative state.
"It is indeed quite tiring, and I feel somewhat listless."
Gianna took a glass from the bar and used the beer trick.
Yin Xing, who was standing nearby, looked over curiously. It wasn't until beer foam started dripping out that Yin Xing understood what was going on.
"Little Ginnell, are you using the beer trick to test your condition?"
Ginnell glanced at the slightly misplaced glass of beer and understood his current state.
Thanks to, or rather because of, the presence of powerful drinkers like Silver Star in this tavern, Ginnell's beer-making skills are so refined that they can be described as the art of beer.
And then this time it went wrong.
"If you force yourself to pull yourself together," Ginell said. "You can still do as perfectly as before."
Yin Xing nodded and began to explain.
"That's normal, little Gianna."
"Meditation is a process, and this process is about guiding your mind and magic in a better direction, not harming yourself."
"You will feel tired, but after getting enough rest, your spirit will be stronger than ever, and the magic you cast will be more powerful."
Yin Xing scratched the back of his head, and finally couldn't help but look at the card box placed on the bar next to him.
"Especially this one, little Ginnell."
"This magical power you possess may allow you to see a more profound future."
Silver Star had never seen a card box before.
Or rather, Silver Star had no recollection of the tavern, the card box, or even Gianna himself.
However, as a star with an old-fashioned air about it, Silver Star's main characteristic is its open-mindedness.
Having cards to play, drinks to drink, and people to chat with is already pretty good.
"One last question," Gianna said, "why do I feel that my meditation sessions are very short?"
"According to some standards on the Pangu Continent, at my current level, I should be able to meditate for at least two hours."
The division of power on the Pangu Continent is very uniform because the exchanges between various races and forces have never stopped, and many things have reached a relative consensus in the process of communication.
For example, the strength classification from one star to nine stars.
The mage apprentice who left not long ago was only a mage apprentice who didn't even reach the one-star standard in terms of strength.
What a one-star mage can cast with ease, he might have to exert some effort to do.
Although Gianna had not been tested by a formal institution, it was not to the point that she could only persist in meditation for ten minutes or so.
"This is different, little Gianna."
Silver Star proudly pointed to herself.
"Because you have the best guide, your meditation efficiency will far exceed that of ordinary people."
"Correspondingly, the mental strain will be even greater during the process of learning and becoming stronger."
"But believe me, the benefits you gain from these ten minutes of meditation far exceed what many children gain in several days."
Silver Star glanced at Genelec again, but said nothing.
Actually, there is another important reason.
In Silver Star's plan, even with his guidance, Ginell would emerge from the intense meditation state within six minutes, and his fatigue would be far more severe than it is now.
However, a variable called Holy Light has emerged in this process.
Ginnell seems to have an extraordinary affinity for the Holy Light, so much so that when he meditates, the Holy Light naturally merges into his body to help him.
The meditation ended because ten minutes or so was already Gianna's limit at that point.
Otherwise, the Holy Light could continue to exert its power!
"Alright, little Ginnell, I'm going back now."
Silver Star thought for a moment, then dipped his hand in beer and smeared it on his staff. The mysterious power of gold and silver left a map on the bar counter of the tavern.
"Now that you've come to the Dark Forest, why not pick these local specialties on your way out?"
"Oh, by the way, little Ginnell, remember to share half of your reward for picking the local specialties with me."
"While your beer is delicious, I'm also looking forward to some different drinks and food."
Genele scratched his head, mimicking Silver Star's gesture, his tone helpless.
"Okay, okay, I'll try my best. I'm really already working hard to develop my beer-drinking skills."
To be honest, Gianna didn't want his only signature magic trick to be the beer trick.
No matter what, we need to add spells like the Pork Chop Spell and the Cherry Mousse Spell to make a complete food bucket.
But it must be said, having an elder in the family is like having a treasure.
Ginnell copied the picture on the bar with pen and paper and carefully put it in her bag.
For adventurers entering dungeons, maps are something that need to be explored gradually, and sometimes changes may occur, causing parts of the map to become unusable.
But Gianna wouldn't, because the map was provided by Silver Star.
Even if there are any changes, he will know about them immediately.
Ginnell was once very curious and asked Silver Star if he was the dungeon lord of the Dark Forest, but the old man only gave Silver Star a kind and mysterious smile.
Who knows?
Ginnell asked other patrons at the tavern similar questions, but all he got in return was a smile.
Oh right, except for Zhongdeng, who only comes occasionally and is probably very busy at home.
He said he had asked his mage friend, but his friend only said that some dungeons have lords and some don't, so it was hard to draw a conclusion.
Zhong Deng said this with great frustration.
Because the tone of my friend's voice conveyed a feeling of "I think you're not smart enough, but I'm still willing to answer you."
Ginnell glanced at the time, then sat quietly behind the bar, contemplating the insights gained from meditation and reviewing the training methods he had learned from Zhongdeng.
As the night's business hours ended, the fire in the tavern flickered for a moment, and Gianna yawned, choosing to take a short nap.
A moment later, the morning sun had risen outside the dungeon.
The warmth of the fire made Ginell wake up comfortably. He placed the short-handled hammer he had recently bought from the city beside him and began to take stock of the supplies he needed to take with him.
This time it's a big city.
