Yun Zi'ang, holding Xiao Jin's hand, left the alley, looking back every few steps.

After walking a distance, Yun Zi'ang muttered to himself, "Who is this guy?"

When he was in Shanghai, he only thought he was a fortune teller, but now it seems that's not entirely true.

"No, we still need to have someone investigate him."

Yun Zi'ang was talking to himself when Yun Ziqian's voice came from the phone, "Yun Zi'ang!"

Yun Ziang then remembered that he was still on the phone.

He quickly picked up his phone, "I'm here."

"What's the situation on your end?" Yun Ziqian asked.

While hailing a taxi, Yun Ziang quickly and briefly recounted the whole story.

After listening, Yun Ziqian remained silent for a long time. He first sighed, "Are you guys Conan-like?"

"Why does something always happen wherever I go?"

Yun Zi'ang didn't know either. He scratched his head and said, "Who knows? I have a feeling that Master Kong's disciple, Kong Zheng, must have some connections. You should have someone investigate him too."

"I'll give it a try," Yun Ziqian replied, and then asked a few more questions about Yun Mingyuan's situation.

Hearing Yun Ziqian's tone, Yun Ziang hesitated for a few seconds, "Has something happened to the company? Why does your voice sound so heavy?"

Yun Ziqian said, "I had a fight with my uncle."

"What?!" Yun Ziang's voice suddenly rose, causing the driver in front and Xiao Jin to look at him frequently.

Yun Zi'ang realized what had happened and quickly lowered his voice, "What did you do to offend him?"

Yun Ziqian recounted his visit to Yun Mingyi the previous night.

"Hey, are you drunk? How dare you interfere in your uncle's affairs?" Yun Zi'ang rebuked mercilessly. "Your uncle is so smart, he definitely knows everything. Do you need to tell him?"

"You've exposed him; doesn't he have any pride left?"

"You brought this on yourself!"

Xiao Jin listened intently, then asked curiously, "Grand-nephew, what happened?"

"Yun Ziqian and my uncle had a fight," Yun Ziang replied in a moment.

Xiao Jin blinked, as if she had thought of something, and she tugged at Yun Zi'ang's arm, "Xiao Jin wants to speak to Zi Qian's grand-nephew."

"Your little aunt wants to talk to you," Yun Ziang hurriedly said, handing the phone to Xiao Jin.

Xiao Jin held the phone to her ears with both hands; the phone was almost as big as her face. Her voice was soft and gentle as she gave her instructions:

"Ziqian, my great-nephew, don't forget what Xiaojin told you: don't meddle in other people's affairs."

"I..." Yun Ziqian said helplessly, "But Uncle, he can't be like this."

Xiao Jin frowned. "Whether it works or not is my nephew's problem, it has nothing to do with you!"

"Yeah, yeah," Yun Ziang chimed in from the side, "Don't meddle in other people's business, or you'll just annoy them."

Whether it was Yun Zi'ang's words that angered Yun Ziqian, he hung up the phone directly.

Yun Ziang sighed heavily, "Can't a person even speak the truth?"

Meanwhile, in Beijing, Yun Mingyi, whom Yun Ziqian was worried about, had just finished breakfast, tidied up, and was preparing to leave for the company.

He opened the door, maneuvered his wheelchair out, and saw someone he hadn't expected.

It's Wen Wen.

Wen Wen, dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans, was holding a lunchbox and standing guard outside the door.

Yun Mingyi frowned. "What are you doing here?"

Wen Wen looked embarrassed and sad, and her face was somewhat haggard. "I made some soup and wanted to bring it to you this morning."

After receiving Yun Ziqian's call last night, Wen Wen didn't sleep all night, worried that Yun Ziqian would really tell Yun Mingyi about it.

It seems that Yun Mingyi is unaware of those things.

Wen Wen secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"The nanny will take care of breakfast, you don't need to do that." A few complicated thoughts flashed in Yun Mingyi's eyes. "Why didn't you knock when you came?"

Wen Wen forced a smile, which looked pitiful. "You changed the password. I thought you didn't welcome me."

Yun Mingyi remained silent, offering no reply. He glanced at his watch and said, "It's getting late. Let's go together. I'll have the driver take you home."

As he spoke, Yun Mingyi maneuvered his wheelchair toward the elevator lobby.

Seeing this, Wenwen quickly followed.

Neither of them spoke in the elevator. When they got out, the driver was already waiting downstairs. He lowered the step and let Yun Mingyi get in the car.

Wen Wen followed behind, thanked them in a low voice, and got into the car as well.

Yun Mingyi said, "Uncle Li, let's take Wen Wen back first."

"Okay, Mr. Yun."

Wen Wen sat in the chair, head down, clutching the lunchbox in her hand, her face pale, her heart filled with unease. Yun Mingyi's aloofness was all too obvious.

Her eyes flickered slightly, then she gritted her teeth and whispered:

"Mingyi, are you still blaming me?"

Yun Mingyi paused, turning his head to look at Wen Wen.

Wen Wen raised her head, tears welling up in her eyes, her voice mournful, "If only that accident hadn't happened."

She stretched out her arm and grasped Yun Mingyi's hand. "Mingyi, I'm sorry."

Yun Mingyi looked at their clasped hands, his gaze darkening for a moment.

After a long pause, he said, "Xiao Wen, it's all in the past."

"I've accepted the current situation, and I hope you'll look forward as well."

Wen Wen was secretly delighted, thinking that Yun Mingyi had forgiven her.

Just as she was about to say something, she heard Yun Mingyi's voice rang out again:

"You don't need to come looking for me anymore."

Wen Wen's face froze, wondering if she had misheard. "Ming Yi?"

Her eyes reddened even more, making her look extremely pitiful. She gripped Yun Mingyi's hand tightly and pleaded softly, "Please don't do this to me."

"I can't live without you," she said, taking out the necklace from her neck and showing off the ring hanging on it. "Do you remember we promised to have our wedding at Lake Como?"

Yun Mingyi looked at the ring, and many memories naturally surfaced in his mind. After a few seconds, he withdrew his hand, his tone gentle yet cold:

"Xiaowen, didn't you already reject me?"

"I..." Wen Wen looked confused and anxious, about to say that she hadn't, when she heard Yun Mingyi say:

"When you left the United States, I thought we both understood each other."

Wen Wen hurriedly explained, "No, no, I really did it for work."

Yun Mingyi's eyes sharpened as he looked at Wen Wen. "So being with Fu Yuheng is also work?"

In an instant, Wen Wen felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her head. "...Was it Yun Ziqian who said that?"

She was extremely flustered. "Mingyi, you have to let me explain. That's not how it is."

Yun Mingyi frowned when he heard Yun Ziqian's name.

He was unaware of the connection between Wen Wen and Yun Ziqian.

He said, "I knew it from the beginning."

Wen Wen's face turned pale as she stared at Yun Mingyi in astonishment, speechless and unsure of what to say in her defense.

Yun Mingyi looked at her, his expression still calm. "Xiao Wen, I understand what you want."

"We've known each other since high school. I know you haven't been doing well since your family went bankrupt."

"I understand your efforts over the years, I understand your desire to pursue the best, I understand your anxiety, and I also understand your willingness to give up."

"That car accident was an accident, and I don't blame you. Protecting you at the time was my own decision, and since it was my decision, there's no reason for anyone else to bear the consequences."

He gazed intently at Wen Wen, somewhat moved, but mostly calm. "Similarly, you should also bear the consequences of your decision."

"You shouldn't have come back to me."

"Let's end it here," Yun Mingyi said, withdrawing his gaze and exuding a cold and aloof aura. "I don't want our relationship to end so awkwardly."

Wen Wen's palms were sweating, and she felt an overwhelming sense of shame. She hadn't expected Yun Mingyi to know everything.

And I felt like a clown.

She couldn't even bear to think about how Yun Mingyi viewed her during dinner last night.

"Uncle Li, take Miss Wen downstairs."

Wen Wen suddenly snapped back to reality, looked out the car window, and realized that she had arrived at her neighborhood.

Uncle Li got out of the driver's seat and opened the car door on her side.

Wen Wen looked at Yun Mingyi in a daze and disbelief. Yun Mingyi did not look at her, only leaving her with a cold profile.

Wen Wen didn't say anything, and got out of the car helplessly. The moment her feet touched the ground, she felt like she had been subjected to a severe torture.

She staggered forward, her ears ringing.

Behind him, Yun Mingyi lowered the car window and watched Wen Wen's back.

"Mr. Yun," Uncle Li called softly from the front seat.

Yun Mingyi looked away. "Drive."

The two grew further and further apart until they could no longer see each other.

Wenwen suddenly stopped when she saw the trash can by the roadside and threw the lunchbox in.

Her face was full of anger as she gritted her teeth and said:

"Fu Yuheng, Yun Mingyi... Fine, you've all been playing me!"

A genuine hatred flashed in Wen Wen's eyes, and her hands, hanging by her sides, clenched tightly, her nails digging deep into her palms.

"I will never let you have an easy time!"

Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind.

Wen Wen picked up her phone and quickly called her friend Lili:

"Hey Lili, are you busy? I have something I want to ask you."

As she spoke, she turned and walked towards the apartment building.
