Game of Thrones: Dance of the Dragons

Chapter 29 Baylor, are you a monster?!

When the flames finally died down, Damon found him in the ashes. Beside Baylor were only scorching embers and acrid white smoke.

He was completely naked, his magnificent white clothes turned to ashes, and his gold and silver hair burned away, but Baylor himself was unharmed.

The glutton stood behind him, raising wings large enough to blot out the sky, its dragon head roaring and howling to the heavens.

Vomisol and Silverwing landed on either side of Beller at some point, spreading their wings and flapping them in the air, joining in the roar.

A red meteor fell from the west to the east, like a galloping horse in a painting, heralding the imminent arrival of the dragon's rule!

……

Damon was the first to come to his senses, took off his coat, and draped it over Baylor.

He could feel that the temperature of the surrounding flames was very high, but Baylor's body was only slightly warm, like water that had just been boiled.

Viserys and the Targaryens stood not far away, watching in astonishment as Baldr remained unharmed amidst the flames. Their feelings at that moment were no less than those of a red comet flashing in the sky.

"That's right, my dream wasn't wrong!"

"By the Seven Gods, Beile, my child, he is the legendary prince!"

He excitedly stepped forward, having already forgotten the fear and turmoil he had just experienced.

"Father."

Baylor, wearing an ill-fitting long robe, greeted Viserys with a smile.

But then he saw the other person pull him into a tight embrace, passionately kissing his forehead, murmuring, "The prince of prophecy!"

Viserys' sudden enthusiasm clearly took Baylor by surprise.

But he did not refuse. Instead, he looked directly at Renilla and blinked his right eye as before, signaling that he was safe and sound while sending her a distress signal.

Renilla visibly relaxed, stepped forward and patted the excited Viserys, "Father, since my brother is safe and sound, why don't we go back first to avoid any further accidents?"

"Yes, yes, Renilla, you're right!"

"I'll see who dares to use such witchcraft to murder my eldest son on Dragonstone!"

Viserys immediately released Baylor, gently wiping the dust off his face with his rough hands, and handed him over to Renilla to take care of.

He then ordered the Grand Secretary beside him to send a message to the ravens, ordering the ministers of the Imperial Council to come to Dragonstone immediately, as he was to convene an Imperial Council meeting.

The assassination of his eldest son, Baylor, undoubtedly crossed Viserys's bottom line.

He swore to the Seven Gods that no matter who it was, even if the other party was a Duke of the First Realm, he would punish them severely and never let them go!

Baylor did not try to calm his father’s anger.

Rather, he hoped things would escalate, so that allison and Damon would reveal their true colors.

He just didn't understand why his good uncle would kindly save him when he had a late-night meeting with Allison.

"What are you thinking about?" Renella took out a handkerchief and gently wiped Belle's face.

Baylor shook his head and turned to look behind him.

The glutton remained standing behind him, and when he saw Baylor turn to look at him, he voluntarily lowered his dragon head.

Without further hesitation, Beller extended his right hand and placed it on the dragon's head.

In that instant, the glutton's deep green eyes captured the entire image of Baylor.

"Go rest on the other side of the island first, I'll come find you tomorrow."

Beller had finally managed to tame the Glutton, and he didn't want it to clash with Vormisor and Silverwing in the dragon's lair.

Secondly, he did not think that the dragon's lair was a good nest. Although the space there was large, it was dark and gloomy, like a pig cage.

Baylor didn't like this feeling, and neither did the glutton.

"Roar—"

After responding, the Glutton spread its black wings and flew towards the hillside directly in front of the dragon's lair.

"Prepare enough sheep for my dragons," Baylor commanded the dragon guards.

"Yes, Your Highness!"

The captain of the Dragon Guard bowed deeply in admiration. Then, he led his men to herd the sheep.

After settling everything, Beller returned to the castle on Dragonstone with Renella.

Damon, on the other hand, was heading to the dragon's lair to calm the somewhat agitated Korakshyu.

Helena, watching from a distance, excitedly broke free from her mother's grasp and rushed forward to hug Belle.

"Brother, congratulations! I see you transform into a real dragon!"

Baylor patted her head. "No way, you little brat, you're talking nonsense again."

"I didn't! I saw it not only in my dream, but I also saw it just now!"

"A true dragon fears no fire; a true dragon will be reborn from the flames!"

Helena gestured exaggeratedly with her delicate white hands, her eyes filled with admiration.

"Baelor, are you even human?" Aegon stepped forward in surprise and asked the question he had been pondering for a long time.

"If I'm not human, then what am I?" Baylor looked at him with amusement.

Upon hearing the question, Aegon, unusually, began to think seriously: "Anyway, you're not human."

"Otherwise, how could they not be afraid of flames?!"

Aegon also had common sense.

He knew that the Targaryen family was heat-resistant, but not to the point of being completely immune.

Just now, he saw Baylor standing calmly under the raging fire, completely unharmed except for his clothes and hair being burned to ashes.

"Haha, then just pretend I'm not human," Baylor joked with a laugh.

Then, he looked up at Allison, who was standing directly in front of him, maintaining a smile on the surface but scratching her fingernails until they bled.

"Your Highness, your thumb is bleeding. Shouldn't you have the Grand Secretary treat it?"

Baylor put Helena down and kindly reminded Allison.

"I was just so worried about you. I'm so glad you're alright, Baylor!" Allison immediately put her hands behind her back, striking a pose of a virtuous wife and loving mother.

Renilla immediately shielded Beller behind her, speaking warily, "Alison, stop putting on that hypocritical act!"

"You know how the wizards of the Shadowlands got into Dragonstone, and so do I!"

"Remember this: hide your tail well, and don't let me find any evidence."

As she spoke, Renilla took Beller's hand and turned to head towards the castle on Dragonstone.

Allison maintained a smile throughout, but her hands clenched tighter and tighter until the veins were visible.

Helena and Aegon knew from a young age that their mother and their older sister did not have a good relationship, and that they often argued.

But today, even the foolish and lazy Aegon sensed that something was amiss.

"Mother, is the witch of this Shadowland really related to you?" Aegon asked without hesitation.

Allison cupped Egan's face in her hands. "What are you saying, child?"

"Do you really think your mother is the kind of wicked woman capable of doing something like this?!"

Seeing the longing in his mother's eyes, Egon was speechless for a moment.

But Helena, standing to the side, noticed the panic in her mother's eyes and the barely perceptible tremor.

She couldn't help but sigh softly, murmuring to herself, "True dragons are never afraid of fire."

"And we are never afraid of any conspiracy or trickery."
