Apocalypse: I can control zombies

Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 90

It's finally going to be available for purchase, and the launch time is set for 8 AM tomorrow.

This book isn't attracting much attention; after more than a month of writing, it only has 2300 favorites, which is quite dismal.

The only thing that makes me feel relieved is that the follow-up reading rate is not bad, and people are still voting for monthly tickets. It can even rank more than 50th on the science fiction category monthly ticket list.

If it weren't for your support, we might not have been able to hold out until it was officially launched.

Now, all we can do is rely on post-production. So I'm asking for your support!

In addition, I would like to talk about some issues with this book.

Some people feel that the timeline is too slow, as it has only reached the fifth day of the apocalypse in 200,000 words.

However, my view is that slow time progression does not equate to slow plot progression.

In my rudimentary understanding, the progression of time serves the advancement of the plot. For example, if the plot gets stuck in the middle or later stages, I can simply say "a month passes in the blink of an eye," and then introduce new elements within that timeframe, allowing the plot to continue naturally.

The early stages of the apocalypse are the most intense, almost a race against time, with events happening every day, which is why time seems to move slowly.

But I absolutely did not write filler. When many plot points reappeared, I simply glossed over them. For example, the rescue of survivors would be described in detail the first time, but the subsequent clearing of an entire building would be summarized in a few paragraphs. Only when key characters appeared would I elaborate on the details.

Those readers who have followed this far are likely people who can handle this pace, which is why they've stayed. Thank you all for your understanding and support!

In addition, many readers have asked: Why not let Lu Chen's zombies eat the corpses of other zombies?

This involves a red line issue.

I've been in this industry for 10 years now. In the early days, the most popular genre in post-apocalyptic fiction was the dark fantasy style, but after a wave of crackdowns, it all disappeared. I myself had one of my books banned.

Back to the original question: Why can't we eat zombie corpses?

It's very simple... zombies are transformed humans.

It sounds a bit outrageous, but if someone takes it seriously and reports it, there really will be problems.

To make the setting more reasonable, I added the mechanism of "becoming stronger by absorbing the energy of the red moon" to bypass the issue of eating.

Finally, let me mention the update.

After it was released, the number of chapters per day increased from two to three.

Some might think three chapters isn't much, but this is truly the best I could do. Longtime readers who followed from my last book know that I'm terrible at writing; just managing two chapters a day to maintain my attendance record is almost unbearable, and I often have to take time off.

Begging for monthly tickets and subscriptions! Orz
