Night Rose

Chapter 131 The Arena

The snow finally stopped these past few days, and a warm sun hung in the sky, but its power was not great, and there was still a lot of unmelted snow on the ground.

"When will this weather get better?" Tu Ying looked worriedly at the snow outside the window, then wrapped herself up like a ball before going out.

Today is the day for scouting the route. The road conditions are complex, so we need to consider all aspects when making the route plan.

Su Jin gave them instructions on what to pay attention to, especially for Zhou Zheng. Zhou Zheng had a slight cold these past few days, but after taking medicine and sleeping soundly through the night, he had sweated it out and was almost fully recovered.

But Su Jin was still very worried about him. She reached out and checked his forehead temperature, and found that his fever had subsided.

"It's alright, I'm almost fully recovered," Zhou Zheng said in a deep voice.

"Drive carefully, scout the road slowly, don't rush. You need to take the weather conditions on the day of the race into account, where you can accelerate, where you need to slow down, and which curves are dangerous. You must know all of that," Su Jin carefully instructed.

Wang Tianle, wearing a fluffy hat, nodded vigorously, "Understood, Sister Su!"

"Why is nobody paying attention to me? Don't you guys treat me like your boss?" Tu Ying was so angry that his teeth itched, but there was no one he could bully, so he could only grab Wang Tianle and rub his head, treating him like a plush toy.

Wang Tianle smiled with one eye closed, "Isn't this match supported by a big spender? Boss Tu."

"We have sponsors, but tell me, am I the one maintaining relationships with them? Am I the one covering your daily expenses? You can't just ask for sponsorships for money everywhere." Tu Ying hooked his neck and forcibly pulled him to be level with her.

Zhou Zheng pretended not to hear them talking. He had specifically spoken to Wu Ting in private. He told her that he couldn't sponsor too much. Even if he wanted to throw millions into the car team, Wu Ting would transfer the money to him without hesitation. But he couldn't let others find out that something was wrong.

Before they had any sponsors, no one was optimistic about them. Suddenly, a company appeared, willing to spend a lot of money to sponsor them without asking for anything in return. That really made people hesitant to sign the contract.

In order to be a more qualified sponsor, Wu Ting strictly followed Zhou Zheng's requirements and only provided a sponsorship of a few hundred thousand yuan.

Zhou Zheng had calculated that Tu Ying definitely had the money left over from their previous competitions and sponsorships, which would be enough for Su Jin to tinker with another race car.

Fortunately, Tu Ying wasn't stingy at all; she took out all the money and even paid out of her own pocket to reimburse them for their travel expenses for the competition.

"Okay, okay, thank you, Boss Tu. We'll definitely do our best and win you the championship!" Wang Tianle laughed heartily, dodging Tu Ying's clutches.

Tu Ying and Wang Tianle chased each other, running through the snow. Before they knew it, Tu Ying tripped and fell on her bottom.

"Boss Tu, don't let the navigator fall! We still have to scout the route today," Su Jin shouted.

"Damn it, don't you have any conscience? I was the one who fell! What's wrong with me? Am I not an important person?" Tu Ying shouted, slapping the snow off her butt.

Zhou Zheng covered Su Jin's ears, "Don't listen to his nonsense, let's go to the competition venue."

The venue was vast, with red flags waving and long banners for the Schalke Rally hanging overhead, accompanied by the rustling wind and resounding drums.

Su Jin grabbed the hood of her down jacket and buried her head in the clothes, not wanting to show it at all.

The wind blowing in the mountains is like a knife; even a single gust can tear a person's skin.

Tu Ying, usually a chatterbox, stopped talking. Every time she opened her mouth, a mouthful of cold air would rush in, making her teeth chatter.

Zhou Zheng and Wang Tianle were in good physical condition and their bodies were still warm. They walked in front to shield them from the wind until they entered the venue and felt the warm breeze, at which point they took off their face coverings.

Su Jin rubbed her face; her lips were icy cold. She looked around at the venue's layout. Not far ahead was the registration desk. Zhou Zheng and Wang Tianle went to register first, while the others stood and waited.

A row of roll-up banners with team promotional posters were placed to the side of the registration desk.

Tu Ying walked over excitedly to find where their team's car was set up on the beach. He wanted to take a picture to commemorate the occasion. This was their first time participating in the national competition. In the past, he would never have dared to dream of having such an opportunity.

The first priority was Top Chain's own team, which was understandable. After that, the posters were arranged haphazardly. Tu Ying's eyes were blurry from looking at them one by one, but he still couldn't find their posters.

After walking around the venue, Tu Ying was surprised to find that there were no posters of theirs!

"Su Jin, did you see our poster? Am I seeing things?" Tu Ying rubbed her eyes, incredulous.

Such a big competition, the organizers couldn't have missed them, could they?

"I really didn't see it." Su Jin frowned. Dinglian wouldn't be so stingy as to not let their posters be released, would it? Or perhaps this wasn't Dinglian's doing, but someone else's idea.

"Excuse me, could you tell me where the poster for the 'I really want to come' car team is?" Su Jin stopped a staff member.

The staff member looked around and suddenly pointed to a large pillar in a corner, "Look, it's behind there."

Su Jin and Tu Ying looked at the pillar at the same time. What? The poster was placed behind a pillar that would take at least five or six people to hug?

Tu Ying didn't believe it and went over to take a look. At first, he couldn't find it, but he eventually found their poster behind the pillar.

Tu Ying angrily carried the roll-up banner out and questioned the staff member.

"Why is everyone else's display placed in a prominent spot, while our convoy's is stuck behind a broken pillar?"

The staff member covered their mouth and laughed, their attitude rather arrogant, "We just put them here randomly, there's no particular order."

She glanced at Tu Ying and chuckled softly, "Your team's name is so corny."

"Should we be discriminated against just because we're unsophisticated? Find me a place to put this up properly!" Tu Ying retorted defiantly.

Su Jin chimed in, "This is a right that every racing team should have. This is discrimination, and I can file a complaint against you."

"Go ahead and complain if you want." The staff member covered his name tag, walked leisurely to the work station, whispered and laughed with the others, and glanced in their direction from time to time. It was obvious to anyone with eyes that they were mocking them.

"Hey! You really think I can't do anything?" Tu Ying carried the roll-up banner to the work table, and in front of the staff member, pushed aside the top roll-up banner and put their poster first!

"What are you doing? There's an order to this arrangement! You can't put it like this!" The staff member who was chatting and eating sunflower seeds suddenly became anxious, put down the sunflower seeds in his hand, and rushed over to snatch the roll-up banner.

Tu Ying was quick with her hands and even faster with her feet, kicking the top-mounted banner over and shielding the banners of her convoy behind her.

He pointed, "Hey! Didn't you say there was no order? That we could just put them anywhere? I'm putting them right here today!"
