Night Rose

Chapter 132 The poster is inconspicuous

The staff member's face darkened; he hadn't expected his own words to backfire.

"No, what I mean is..."

"I don't care! Others heard it too, this is how you arranged it! There's no order, you just put it anywhere!" Tu Ying put the roll-up banner on the ground and stood next to it like a protector.

The poster features Zhou Zheng's handsome half-body photo, where he gazes at Su Jin across the air. He didn't have much of an expression when the photo was taken, but a slight raise of his eyebrows was captured and chosen as the promotional poster photo.

Wearing a racing suit, Zhou Zheng had broad shoulders, his hair was still his signature buzz cut, his features were sharp, and his dark eyes were fixed on the front, which was very intimidating.

The poster, placed next to the worktable, instantly elevated the venue's prestige. A staff member nearby glanced at the poster, then at Zhou Zheng, who had just been signing in, and chuckled to himself that the handsome guy was even better looking than in the photos, completely oblivious to his colleague's well-being.

"Can I rephrase this? You see, this is the organizer's team's poster. It's impossible for it not to be placed first. How about we put your poster second?" The staff member laughed awkwardly, not expecting to run into a tough opponent.

"If this side doesn't work, then let's go to that side!" Tu Ying pointed to the first poster on the other side.

"No, no, no, that won't do!" The staff member quickly waved his hands, almost making a jumbled mess of gestures. "That's a poster predicting the professional racing team will win! We can't use it!"

"Predict the first place? Isn't that us?" Tu Ying chuckled, brimming with confidence. Ignoring the stares of others, she made a move to lift up the banner again.

The staff member quickly pressed his hand down and whispered, "Brother! I was wrong, okay? I'll put you in second place! Don't make things difficult for a working person like me. It wasn't me who put your poster in the corner, it was..."

She suddenly stopped talking, her brows furrowed, looking as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.

"Who is it? Tell me!" Tu Ying asked.

"Oh dear, it was the convoy that put it there!"

"What's your name?"

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you!"

"It must be Hsu Ching-yi," Su Jin suddenly interjected. She saw the staff member's expression change and knew it must be her.

"Do you know the one who did this?" Tu Ying asked.

Su Jin nodded and helped to lift up the poster for the top chain racing team.

The staff, assuming she was there to help, quickly thanked her, "Thank you!"

The staff went to get the poster, but Su Jin didn't let go. She put the top-tier poster in the second position and clapped her hands in satisfaction.

"You can't put it like that..." The staff member was dumbfounded. They thought they had found someone sensible, but it turned out they were just as difficult as before.

"What are you all doing? Aren't you supposed to be at work?" a reprimand came from behind the crowd.

An arrogant man dressed in a racing suit, sporting a head of red hair, and carrying a helmet came over.

Su Jin glanced at the poster and recognized the man. It was Qian Ke, the driver from Top Chain.

Qian Ke is twenty-three years old this year. He used to be a freelance racer, but was only recruited by Top Chain division to drive race cars this year. His ability is not top-notch, but he maintains a good level of performance. He is considered a semi-connected employee and can do whatever he wants in the company.

The staff member was indeed afraid of him, and walked up to him tremblingly, "Brother Qian, someone is causing trouble."

"Causing trouble? What do you think this place is? You dare to cause trouble!" Qian Ke looked down at everyone, his nostrils flaring, and then leered at Su Jin. "Beautiful lady, is it you who's causing trouble?"

Su Jin rolled her eyes, too lazy to pay him any attention.

Zhou Zheng and Wang Tianle walked over, the two tall men standing in front of him, blocking his disgusting gaze.

"Hey, who are you?" Qian Ke's voice was noticeably lower.

"Racing driver." Zhou Zheng raised his chin.

"Navigator!" Wang Tianle made the same gesture.

The two men exuded an aura as if the land belonged to them, leaving Qian Ke completely stunned.

"No way, this guy's all high and mighty? I'm a top-tier rider, how about that, scared now?" Qian Ke raised his fist.

Su Jin tossed her hair speechlessly, "If you dare to make a move, you'll be disqualified from the competition, and you might even have to go to the police station for a chat."

"Who said I was going to make a move? I'm asking you what trouble you're causing?" Qian Ke felt guilty upon hearing the word "police station," and his loud voice attracted the attention of other passing vehicles.

Some people recognized Su Jin and greeted her from a distance, asking if she had encountered any trouble and if she needed help.

As the crowd grew larger, the staff didn't dare to lift their heads. "Brother Qian, let it go, it's not a big deal."

"Really? You say it's okay, then I'll let them go." Qian Ke said guiltily, suppressing his impulse to stand up for himself and regaining his rationality.

Lu Mingzhou repeatedly warned him not to cause trouble before the competition. His administrative punishment with the police had not yet expired, and if he caused trouble again, Lu Mingzhou would not protect him.

"It's alright!" the staff member said, forcing a smile.

Qian Ke found a way to save face, grumbling as he walked away. Reaching his workbench, he saw the poster next to him and was instantly enraged. "Why is this person's poster in front of me?!"

The staff quickly tried to calm him down, "Brother Qian, keep your voice down! It's because they wanted to put the posters here that they started arguing. Let them put them up, I'll change them back as soon as they leave!"

Qian Ke didn't say much, just signed in and left.

Zhou Zheng and Wang Tianle were going to scout the route, while Su Jin and Tu Ying sat near the posters, not going anywhere.

The staff felt a chill run down their spines. Whenever they were caught peeping at Tu Ying, Tu Ying would point two fingers at her eyes and then poke her with those fingers.

This gesture means: I've been watching you!

"This is unbelievable! They're incredibly difficult to deal with!" the staff member said through gritted teeth.

After the convoys arrived and checked in, they all gathered at the departure area.

Lu Mingzhou came over to check the sign-in list, and Xu Jingyi naturally followed beside him, speaking to him in a gentle voice.

Ignoring their surroundings, the two chatted as they walked to the work table. Lu Mingzhou went to get the sign-in book, while Xu Jingyi muttered about what to eat for lunch. Glancing at the table, she noticed the poster that had been replaced.

"Brother Lu, look." Xu Jingyi gestured with her lips.

Lu Mingzhou looked over and immediately frowned. He turned to the staff behind the counter and demanded, "What's going on? Wasn't it arranged that the top chain team's poster was placed first? Why is it... him?!"

The group remained silent, only pushing the troublemaker forward. The man, steeling himself, pointed at the two supervisors and angrily explained.

"Manager Lu, they said their posters weren't eye-catching enough and insisted on moving them here. I couldn't stop them!"
