Wizard's Journey

Chapter 106 Sonam

Chapter 106 Sonam (Part 1)

A painful scream suddenly erupted from the dim sky, and several wizard apprentices who had been fleeing in all directions fell to the ground. Only one person managed to escape the secret realm as space distorted during his fall.

On the ground, beneath the wide robe, a pair of murky, cloudy eyes swept over the fallen wizard apprentices, as if they had expected it. There was no change in expression in the murky eyes; the person appeared dazed and unmoved by the outside world.

call……

A gentle breeze, unique to the trial realm, blew by, subtly ruffling the man's robes, instantly revealing an incredibly ugly and horrifying image.

His face was covered with countless, densely packed, dark red bumps. Apart from his eyes, nose, and mouth, these large bumps were interspersed with smaller bumps all over the skin in his field of vision, extending all the way to the depths of his neck. It was truly disgusting.

"Seriously, my mentor actually assigned me a task at a time like this: to drive that little Black Sota out of the secret realm ahead of time? Ugh, what a hassle. Let my darlings try to gather some information about that unlucky little guy's body..." A barely audible muttering came from beneath the robe.

As the shadowy figure spoke, shimmering specks of light began to slowly emerge from the disgusting lumps, gradually unfurling their wings and hovering in the air, emitting a low buzzing sound.

These tiny insects are actually some kind of mosquito-like creature!

The next moment, with a special connection between their spirits and souls, hundreds and thousands of crystalline flying insects, resembling mosquitoes, scattered and disappeared into the sky in all directions.

"Honestly, I'd better hurry up and collect some marks. I wonder if that woman will leave District 12's territory to explore other areas. Otherwise, I'll have to face those boring ice blocks and that damn big bird again. What a hassle." Leaning on his magic wand, the voice gradually faded into the distance, and the figure slowly disappeared into the darkness.

If someone were to observe closely, they would notice that on the disgusting, crooked bumps on the wizard apprentice's forehead, there was a mark of the Maze Academy of District Twelve.

(As mentioned earlier, this is Green's last mission.)

…………

District 15.

Snapped!

After a crisp snap of the fingers, a panicked figure fleeing in the distance suddenly shuddered, as if swept by an invisible shockwave. With a loud "bang," a large cloud of blood mist filled the sky, just like the sailors and wizard apprentices on the ship who were inexplicably blown up by the Masked Wizard's finger.

Feeling the increasing mark value on his forehead, the wizard apprentice muttered, "It's strange that in District 15, besides those few guys, there's a wizard apprentice who didn't crush the badge immediately upon seeing me..."

rustle……

Near the blood mist in the sky, large swaths of surface dust and sand gently fell from the towering stone pillars that were difficult for wizard apprentices to damage, and drifted away with the wind.

The wizard apprentice idly flicked a metal badge with his thumb, then caught it in his palm, then flicked it again, and caught it again…

Suddenly, the man exerted a burst of force, and the metal badge shot into the distance in a parabolic arc at incredible speed. He didn't even glance at it, saying indifferently, "Hmph! The sound of this cheap metal thing is awful. My mentor is so boring, giving me something like this. Does he want me to go back to that wizarding academy where I spent a hundred years? I've had enough of that boring place! Maybe only conquering the alien races at the Seventh Ring Holy Tower can make my dormant cells even a little interested..."

Hmph hmph hmph...

A deep, arrogant, and rampant laugh echoed through the sky, unrestrained and unbridled.

"Forget it, collecting mark points in District 15 is too boring. The guys who see me either run away or crush their badges. What's the point of getting the peak reward this way? I'd better go to other areas and maybe find some fun..." After saying that, the person slowly floated up with a crisp tinkling sound and then disappeared into the vast stone pillar forest with incredible speed.

Strangely, this person had a hole the size of a bowl in his chest, which had completely pierced through his body.

Right in the middle of this hole, a small metal bell rang out with a clear, tinkling sound, like a heartbeat.

…………

District 12.

As the sensation of his body being stretched into noodles ended, Solangm swayed slightly, adjusting to the physical discomfort caused by the spatial teleportation. He opened his eyes and saw the dim sky and the towering stone pillars stretching towards the horizon.

"Were the marks on these stone pillars erected by the Seven Rings Holy Tower specifically for the trial of wizard apprentices?" Thinking this, Soram pointed with one hand, and a dark elemental raven flashed and disappeared.

With a soft "poof," the dark elements scattered, but no corrosive marks were left on the stone pillar.

"Just as I thought." Soram muttered to himself, and then a pair of huge black wings suddenly spread out on his back. In the next moment, he flew into the sky with a whoosh and landed on the top of a stone pillar. He looked around and, after a wave of ominous magical energy, dozens of eyes suddenly opened up on Soram's face. They twisted and turned and observed everything around him.

For a moment, Solangm seemed to have transformed into some kind of monster.

These eyes come in all shapes and sizes. Some are scarlet with a single white pupil the size of a pinhead in the center; some are apricot-yellow with a black pupil in the center; some have multi-faceted, mirror-like shapes like flies; some are large, some are small, and some even have a snail-like eye on their forehead that stretches out like a giant of greed.

In a daze, all the eyes disappeared, as if everything that had just happened was an illusion. Sonam's face remained expressionless, cold and indifferent.

Solangm fell into deep thought.

"The stone pillars getting taller in this direction mean this is the center of District 12? And beyond this endless forest of stone pillars, there are four more vast forests of stone pillars, corresponding to the other four regional wizarding academies. Does that mean the rules for collecting badges are first collected within the regional academies, and then the top-ranking experts collect them across regions?"

"Hmm? These runic markings..." Soram flew to a stone pillar and carefully observed the invisible runes on it that ordinary humans could not see at all.

After a moment, Soram murmured, "A mechanism for collecting life fluctuations, a locking mechanism, a spatial distortion teleportation mechanism, and a runic magic array with many indistinguishable functions. Wait! This cluster of runes is... an energy conservation seal?"

His voice trembled slightly; Soram seemed extremely afraid of anything related to the seal.

After a long while, Soram regained his composure and murmured, "No, these sealing restrictions shouldn't be targeting wizard apprentices. There's no reason for the Seventh Ring Holy Tower to do this. It's more likely that there will be some changes in the Holy Tower Qualification Trial Realm in ten days, which may surprise many wizard apprentices."

While pondering, Sonam flew away from the stone pillar.

"The more powerful the sealing technique, the less susceptible it is to interference or disruption from external energy. Perhaps in a one-on-one battle with thorough preparation, sealing techniques are the most powerful form of magic. However, the limitations of preparation time and the uninterrupted stability of their energy mean that sealing techniques are generally only used by higher-level creatures to suppress lower-level creatures that are unable to resist, or by large groups of lower-level creatures using the properties of sealing techniques to resist higher-level creatures. Such energy usage is rarely seen in battles between creatures of the same level..."

Suddenly, Sonam shook his head and whispered, "No! We can't take chances. Only by finding suitable partners and teams can we be truly secure and fully utilize our strengths."

As he said this, Soram took out a crystal ball and tried to contact several of his trusted companions.

In some aspects of forward-thinking wisdom, Solange is in no way inferior to Greene.

While no one could comprehend the long period of solitude that the Dark Wizard would face, Soram, due to his own shortcomings, had already begun consciously building bridges of connections and friendships during his apprenticeship.

Although these bridges are not sturdy, they are far from reflecting the bond between Raffi's team.

"Brother Soram, that's great! You're nearby too. I can roughly sense the locations of Brother Yunli and my senior brother. If the four of us get together, we won't have to be afraid of even the powerful wizard apprentices who are in charge of the four major organizations of Black Sota." Bibi Leona smiled innocently, her snow-white porcelain-like face filled with excitement.

Senior brother? Luo Jia, the twin of water and earth?

With this person's strength...

Soram thought for a moment, then finally gave up on continuing to contact the Bloodsail Alliance members. He nodded to Bibiliona in the crystal ball and said, "Alright, then I'll go to your place to gather. Hmm? Wait, the second batch of wizard apprentices has been teleported over. Let's see if we can collect some marks first."

"good!"

On the other side of the crystal ball, Bibi Leona also looked up at the sky and excitedly agreed.

Spreading his black wings, Sonam's entire body emitted wisps of eerie black smoke, swirling around him. Instantly, the image of a giant raven vaguely appeared amidst the drifting black smoke. Sonam's figure was indistinct in the thick black smoke, his eyes glowing with a pale blue light like ice, radiating a captivating and mysterious aura.

An ominous and oppressive atmosphere permeated the air.

With a "whoosh," Soram clenched his fist and moved it towards his eyes. Then, a giant sword emitting blue flames slowly "pulled" out of his eyes, and at the same time, the blue flames in both eyes disappeared.

whoosh...

His body transformed into a deep black torrent with a faint blue streak of light, and Soram shot towards the figure who was staring at him in astonishment.
