Wizard's Journey

Chapter 1409 Guarding Instructions

The Tower of Oblivion Wizard Academy.

Located in a mountain range at the exit of an underground abyss in District 22 of the Second Ring Holy Tower, the Wizard Tower has been standing atop the mountain for thousands of years, purifying demonic energy with the source of magic to provide Grin with an eternal true demonic body.

Centered around the Wizarding Academy of the Tower of Oblivion, a cluster of small cities has formed. Due to frequent exchanges of local specialties and resources with the Second Ring Holy Tower, life in each town is quite vibrant, and the population is growing rapidly, forming its own unique character.

hum...

On this day, the passing wizard apprentices and the formal wizards inside the wizard tower all sensed something, rushed out of the door, and stared in astonishment at the top of the wizard tower.

The suffocating pressure of time and space was violently vibrating and rapidly gathering around the elemental clouds at the top of the wizard's tower, and a pillar of magical light shot straight into the sky, forming a time-space vortex passage.

The entire stone slab of the wizarding academy was trembling, the experimental specimens being cultivated were restless, and the Thousand-Eyed Soul-Stealing Crab, the academy's guardian, moved sideways with its eight crab legs, rapidly converging towards the top of the wizarding tower.

"What happened? What's going on? The magic in the wizard tower is draining away rapidly!?"

A wizard apprentice riding a giraffe murmured in horror. The sheer volume of powerful magic flowing through the giraffe made the apprentices pale, and the giraffe beneath them restless.

"Could it be that one of the deans is conducting an experiment? Or could it be an earthquake?"

Another wizard apprentice, whose figure was hidden under the wide wizard's robe, speculated in her childish voice.

With her limited knowledge, she could not imagine the power of the academy's dean, let alone understand those holy-scarred wizards who measured time in millennia.

Compared to the ignorance of the wizard apprentices, the official wizards who have long supported the source of magic for the Wizard Tower have a more accurate understanding: it is a call from beyond the world, the suction of the Wizard Tower's magical source.

Without prior arrangement, the wizards stopped what they were doing and released their magic through the walls of the wizard tower towards the higher levels.

The top of the Wizard Tower resembled a giant black hole, behind which an indescribably terrifying wizard was being drawn into this world interface by a massive amount of magic. Compared to this terrifying wizard, even the entire Wizard Tower seemed insignificant. He was looking down at the entire earth from ten thousand meters in the air with the eyes of a giant.

What a terrifying sorcerer this is!

Decades have passed. Due to Green's return, which secretly influenced dozens of large and small business families, coupled with the corpse of the Abyss Demon hanging high above him, the Annihilation Tower Wizard Academy has gradually grown from an unknown wizard academy back to its former glory and continues to grow stronger.

The three deans arrived at the teleportation array on the ninety-ninth floor of the academy immediately.

"Since the Tower Master descended from the secret realm sixty years ago, demanding that we defend ourselves according to the standards of an academy war, there has been no news. Why has he suddenly appeared today?"

"What's going on? Is this a surprise inspection?"

These two Level 3 Archmages were the two wizards who remained at the Tower of Annihilation Wizard Academy after Cappuccino and Millie were promoted to Stigmata Wizards and Saladin and Nilmazar passed away. They were also the academy dean who had the opportunity to see the true appearance of the Stigmata Wizards of the Tower of Annihilation in the secret realm after Grimm's return.

Generally speaking, as wizarding academies become older, more profound, and more mysterious in their academic environment, the communication between wizards and tower masters decreases. Wizarding towers exist in the form of passing on rules, rather than the will of holy-marked wizards.

"The Saintly Wizard of the Tower of Annihilation!?"

The great wizard, who had come from afar to become the third dean of the academy, murmured with anticipation and excitement.

hum...

Click!

With an indescribable sense of spatial distortion, the teleportation array on the ninety-ninth floor of the Tower of Annihilation cracked open like a spider web. Then, amidst the dust and ruins, a mysterious figure appeared, its five eyes fixed on the three academy deans obscured by the ashes from the broken teleportation array.

Silently, figures floated out; it was Green and Little Eight on the pointed shoulder.

"I've seen the great Archmage of the Tower of Oblivion!"

The three wizards were truly shocked by this enormous creature that was desperately suppressing its magic. This transcendent feeling was as if it came from another dimension. The three of them gazed at the descending wizard with the most humble and respectful posture.

"Hehehe, the Annihilation Wizard has come to the Wizarding World this time for two reasons. First, he wants to meet with several Guardians to discuss important matters, and second, he wants to examine your war reserves. You didn't think the task I gave you decades ago was just empty talk, did you?"

Xiao Ba is alluring and beautiful, and in the eyes of these low-level wizards, she is full of mystery. Needless to say, she is the soulmate of this Holy Mark Wizard of the Tower of Annihilation.

Greene asked in a low voice at the opportune moment, "How are the preparations going?"

The three academies exchanged glances, then one of them took out a handbook and read aloud: "Currently, the academy's foundation and inheritance..."

"That's enough!"

Before it even started, Green interrupted the dean, leaving the dean bewildered and at a loss for words.

Green said, "I'm not asking you to report on supplies. That's your job, what you're supposed to do. Here's what we'll do... After an hourglass, assuming the war starts, I want to see the entire academy mobilize for war, for a period of one month. After one month, all the wizards will gather for the Wizarding Conference."

With the urgent sound of horns, the Thousand-Eyed Soul-Stealing Crab Academy guardians and wizard apprentices, under the will of the wizards, began the academy war mobilization. The source of magic in the wizard tower erected a wizard shield, initiating a simulated academy war mode.

……

The assessment ended a month later.

"How did the academy's war simulation mobilization assessment go? Did the tower master have any comments?"

"Alas, ever since the academy was built, it has been in a state of war alert in the wizarding world, prohibiting attacks between academies. Therefore, there has never been an academy war. We have only carried out war mobilization according to the most basic conditions of an academy war."

"I hope the tower master won't get angry..."

The wizards passed the baton to each other, clearly dissatisfied with the mobilization drill.

As the three academy deans escorted Green from the front of the hall to the high platform, the many wizards held their breath and remained silent, waiting for the tower master, who had not descended for thousands of years, to give his instructions. The Tower of Annihilation was the Ming Wizard Academy, and after so many years of neglecting combat, both the individual Goti combat strength and the group combat strength were appalling.

Green sat on the high platform, looking down at the more than a thousand trembling little wizards.

"Can anyone tell me, what is the hypothetical enemy you're mobilizing for war?"

After a long while, none of the wizards spoke, as if none of them had ever thought about these questions.

Green nodded, then suddenly took out a list and began reading the names of some wizards. After about twenty names, Green stopped and said, "These wizards, go to the logistics department to collect your reward of ten grams of Philosopher's Stones later."

The Philosopher's Stone!?

The wizards stared wide-eyed. This legendary thing really existed?!

For a moment, everyone looked on with longing and sighed with regret that the tower master actually possessed such legendary materials.

"Do you know why I'm rewarding them? The reason is simple: only they mobilized the entire war effort, completely mobilizing the civilians within their territories. Do you think that just because you're wizards, you can ignore the power of the civilians and that one person can control the war?"

Green's voice was deep and unpredictable as he gazed at all the wizards present. Even though Green had reduced his power to the point that these low-level wizards could not sense him, not one of them dared to meet his eyes.

"Hmph, you still don't understand. In fact, you are merely soldiers used by the great True Spirit Wizards to protect the precious property of human civilians, and farmers to cultivate the desolate land outside the Holy Tower. Protecting the civilians within your territory is the key to victory in this war. Remember your duty!"

PS: Let me introduce "Invincible Legend". It's currently ranked number one on the most anticipated game list by the media. Its biggest feature is that you don't need experience to survive, so it's easy and not tiring. Most of your time is spent on national wars, so you don't have to spend too much time on boring things. It's suitable for working people. You can also get Qidian coins and other rewards, which is quite generous.
