Wizard's Journey

Chapter 788 Irresistible (Part Six)

"Everyone, calm down! There are 3,722 academy wizards gathered here. The source of magic has ample magical power, and the wizard tower's defensive barrier will be our perfect shield!"

At the top of the Forging Hammer Wizard Tower, the Academy Dean, who presided over the phantom of the warhammer, the source of magic, roared.

The monstrous giant slowly approaching from outside the Wizard Tower has caused a surge of turmoil within the academy with each piece of information it has sent. As a result, the academy has held three Wizard Conferences to discuss how to deal with it. During this time, the Forging Hammer Saint Mark Wizard has personally communicated with several Deans on more than one occasion, demanding that the source of the Wizard Tower's magic be protected at all costs.

As one of the wizards who survived the attack on the Superconducting Light Wizard Tower, Dean Kindes witnessed firsthand the might of this final guardian of the Superconducting Light Academy, his mouth filled with bitterness.

Along with Dean Jindes at the top of the tower, and Dean Winnie on the ground holding the Eight-Flame Feather Fan, the academy's inherited magical artifact and a forging hammer, they also shouted in a low voice.

"The defensive barrier is supported by ample magical energy. Thanks to the academy's thorough preparations over the past few days, it has successively deployed anti-guiding magnetic field fields, multiple repair restrictions, and anti-breakthrough restrictions..."

Click, click, click...

More than ten ant-level mechanical puppets flew out of the wizard tower.

The rules of the Holy Tower in the Wizarding World stipulate that Stigmata Wizards may not provide direct assistance to Wizarding Academy other than the Academy Guardians, and even Academy Guardians must comply with specific rules.

These dozen or so ant-level mechanical golems were all developed by the Forging Hammer Wizard Academy and are stored as part of the academy's foundation.

……

Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump...

With each step, a ripple of vibration spread across the ground. The over fifty-meter-tall savage giant, Sun Chaser, exuded a terrifying aura of power, and the bricks and stones of the Forging Hammer Academy beneath his feet crumbled and spread.

As if shooing away flies.

The 100-meter-deep abyss magic staff was wielded by the savage giant. Gravity field and extreme cold swept across, and one after another, the flying machines that circled in the sky in an attempt to stop the savage giant's advance fell to the ground.

"Young master, they intend to hold out to the death and are hiding inside, refusing to come out."

High above, on the back of the mysterious bird, Xiao Ba looked at the Arcane Wizards inside the defensive shield and shouted.

"Then let's go in!"

From slow, deliberate steps to a frantic sprint, the earth trembled violently with high-frequency "thump, thump, thump, thump." The savage giant leaped forward with a deafening "boom," and the Abyss Magic Staff fell from the sky.

"Ah! It's up there..."

"Quickly! Counterattack!"

"Calm down! Don't panic, the source of magic is plentiful..."

The defensive shield supported by the hundreds-of-meters-high Forging Hammer Wizard Academy lay upside down on the ground. At this moment, a huge shadow appeared above the shield from the top of the wizard tower. The Extreme Abyss Magic Staff struck, and although it did not blast the shield open in one blow, it caused unimaginable psychological impact on the large number of arcane wizards inside.

The next moment, under the organization of several academy deans, the academy's arcane wizards launched a dazzling counterattack against the storm.

One attack after another pierced through the defensive shield and landed on the savage giant. The savage giant could not threaten the inside of the shield, but the arcane wizards inside the shield were able to attack the outside without any hindrance.

At the top of the Forging Hammer Wizard Tower, Dean Jindes gritted his teeth, raised his magic staff, and controlled the phantom of the giant hammer, the source of the Wizard Tower's immense magical power, to smash into the sky. With a "bang," it struck the savage giant whose body was covered with skeletal bone spikes!

The female dean held the Eight-Flame Feather Fan and teleported to the top layer inside the defensive shield. She poured all her magic into the Eight-Flame Feather Fan, and instantly, dense fire elements from all directions converged upon her.

A dense cloud of fire element swirled around the witch's body, and she swung her eight feather fans, each a different color, fiercely.

twitter!

With a long cry, a giant fire phoenix, over twenty meters tall, was born, its power gathered from the flames of the Eight Flames Feather Fan. The intense heat caused the surrounding air to distort. It spread its wings and swooped down towards the shadow of the savage giant outside the wizard's shield.

The three mechanical archmages each had a different appearance.

One person extended the core of the mecha, transforming it into a giant object over twenty meters tall that soared into the sky. The enormous lightsaber pierced through the defensive shield, and the lightsaber seemed to possess considerable cutting power.

The other mechanical wizard was half-mechanical and half-flesh. One of his arms, with a series of mechanical movements, transformed into a multi-barreled mechanical cannon, unleashing thousands of high-frequency energy bullets in an instant!

The last person led more than ten of the academy's ant-level mechanical puppets as they charged forward...

"Waaah..."

The massive attack struck the savage giant's body, unleashing a terrifying energy surge. The giant's enormous figure was sent flying uncontrollably for over a thousand meters before crashing to the ground with a deafening roar, creating a crater nearly a hundred meters wide.

As his body was eroded by various attacks, his internal organs were in turmoil, and the savage giant suddenly felt his body stiffen and could no longer stand up.

"Wow, young master, are you alright?!"

The Mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird landed beside Green, and Xiao Ba asked in surprise.

Shaking his slightly dizzy head, the savage giant Sunstrider's sunken eyes flashed with cold light beneath his high brow ridges. Light and darkness intertwined, and a flash of annihilating arcs of electricity disappeared in an instant. A wizard who had come to investigate Grimm's condition was wiped out.

Thud! Thud!

Supporting himself on the ground, the savage giant stood up again, leaning on his Abyss Magic Staff. Looking up at the massive defensive barrier atop the nearly thousand-meter-high Forging Hammer Wizard Tower, which had been restored to its complete state, he felt somewhat at a loss for what to do.

"It would be too much for one person to forcefully break through the source of magic and the protection of so many arcane wizards, even for this body, unless... the self-seal that has been stored for over two hundred years is released!"

The savage giant Sunstrider's body was broken in many places, with numerous bone spikes broken off. Blood seeped from some of the weak points between the bone armor and scales, dripping and dripping, and the ground bricks were even being eroded and melted by the Sunstrider's blood.

"but……"

As he tore open the dimensional gap, the savage giant suddenly produced an oil lamp in his hand—the Boundless Lamp that Grin had obtained from the ancient sealed space in the abyss below!

While coughing to recover from his discomfort, the savage giant, with eyes full of anticipation, charged towards the Forging Hammer Wizard Academy once again. He went from taking slow, deliberate steps to running at full speed, and with the earth trembling violently at a high frequency, he leaped down and landed high in the sky.

This time, however, a tiny oil lamp wick flame appeared at the tip of the Abyss Magic Wand. The blue flame was as insignificant as a soybean, yet…

"It's here again. Don't panic, everyone follow instructions."

"Conserve your magic power, wait for this monster to fall before attacking..."

"The Source of Magic has ample magical reserves. We just need to hold on, and the Great Forging Hammer Saint Mark Wizard will surely find another way to resolve this crisis!"

boom!

Inside the defensive shield, amidst tense shouts and roars, a storm of counterattacks erupted once more. Just like before, the savage giant was once again struck by a massive attack and sent flying backward.

"Quickly replenish the defensive shield with the source of magic! We have plenty of time... Ah! What is that!?"

At the top of the defensive shield, a blue-green flame, the size of a soybean, burned quietly. Waves of light spread out, slowly penetrating the shield that even the savage giant Sunchaser could not break through with brute force.

A breach has appeared in the defense shield, which is over ten meters wide!

However, although the Boundless Lamp was an exquisite magical artifact from ancient wizards, it has only retained a small portion of its power due to the passage of time, and its abilities are now limited to this.

The defensive shield supported by the Wizard Tower's magical source melted through a hole ten meters in diameter, but that was already its limit.

"No! Quickly... quickly repair the breach in the defensive barrier, and gather all the sources of magic power!"

With the abundant energy replenished by the source of magic, the breach in the defensive shield is being rapidly repaired, shrinking at a visible pace, and is on the verge of being completely repaired...

suddenly!

With a fierce rip, a huge, ferocious head with bared fangs pried its way through the defensive barrier.
