Zhou Nan sat on the rock, her back ramrod straight. "You don't need to know who told me or whether it's true or not."

Looking at her, Shen Tang sighed inwardly, reached out and put his arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him.

"Do you think I would like someone like Qin Zheng?"

Zhou Nan paused for a moment, then turned his head to look at her.

Shen Tang liked Huo Xiuyuan; her eyes would light up when she looked at him. She was completely different in front of Huo Xiuyuan than she was in front of Qin Zheng.

Zhou Nan slowly shook his head.

Shen Tang smiled and said, "Then do you think Qin Zheng would like someone like me?"

Zhou Nan bit her lip and remained silent for a long time.

She didn't know what kind of person Qin Zheng liked, she didn't know if he had liked someone else before he met her, and she didn't know if he had anything with Shen Tang before her.

Her voice lowered: "How would I know? I'm not him."

Shen Tang looked at her slightly reddened eyes and softened her tone: "Qin Zheng and I are the same kind of people; we're only suited to be friends. You can see the difference between me and Huo Xiuyuan, but you can't see the difference between him and you?"

Zhou Nan looked up at her but didn't say anything.

"He'd practically rip his heart out for you, and yet you still doubt his sincerity?"

Shen Tang continued, "My relationship with him is purely based on mutual benefit."

Shen Tang lowered her voice and said, "I sold the design drafts to him, and he gave me the money."

Zhou Nan tilted her head in shock and looked at Shen Tang. "So your correspondence with him was about the design drafts?"

"Otherwise what? Do you think I'm two-timing?"

Zhou Nan lowered her head, her hands twisting together. "Shen Tang, I'm sorry, I misunderstood you."

Shen Tang smiled and hugged her. "You're so naive. Someone must have said something to you."

"It's Yang Xinyue," Zhou Nan said. "She said you and Qin Zheng had a relationship, that you went out drinking with Qin Zheng and got very drunk, and that you and Qin Zheng had been writing letters to each other..."

Shen Tang frowned.

Is there something wrong with Yang Xinyue?

Why do I always seem to be picking on her?

She rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Let's go back and wash up."

Shen Tang stood up and pulled Zhou Nan along.

"Nan Nan—"

As soon as Zhou Nan stood up, a man's voice rang out behind him.

Zhou Nan turned around abruptly, and tears streamed down her face.

Shen Tang followed her gaze and said, "Speak of the devil, and he appears. I won't disturb you any longer."

Shen Tang waved to Qin Zheng, who was walking over, and left.

Qin Zheng strode over, pulled Zhou Nan into his arms, and kissed her lips.

Zhou Nan was so frightened that she quickly dodged away, "What are you doing? Someone will see us."

Qin Zheng smiled, took her hand, and said, "Let's go."

Zhou Nan's mind went blank, filled only with surprise.

She didn't expect Qin Zheng to come here.

Qin Zheng pulled Zhou Nan into the back seat of the car and hugged her tightly.

"Nannan, I missed you so much, let me give you a good hug."

Qin Zheng held Zhou Nan tightly, his heart pounding through her clothes.

Qin Zheng took a piece of candy out of his pocket, tore off the wrapper, and stuffed it into Zhou Nan's mouth.

Zhou Nan's lips lightly touched Qin Zheng's fingertips, Qin Zheng's eyes darkened, and he lowered his head to kiss them.

"Mmm—" The candy in Zhou Nan's mouth enveloped him, then returned to him.

"So sweet." Qin Zheng's voice was deep.

Zhou Nan blushed deeply, her head almost touching her chest.

"You've gained weight," Qin Zheng said, looking at Zhou Nan.

"Where have you gotten fat?" Zhou Nan looked up, dissatisfied.

"Here." Qin Zheng's gaze was fixed on her chest.

"You scoundrel." Zhou Nan raised her hand to cover her chest.

Qin Zheng smiled and said, "Wait for me a moment."

He opened the door and got out of the car, taking out two meat buns, a bottle of soda, and two oranges from the trunk.

"Here you go, I was afraid it would get cold, so I wrapped it in several layers of clothing."

Qin Zheng handed the meat bun to Zhou Nan, and Zhou Nan's eyes crinkled with laughter.

She hadn't had any meat since arriving here, so she opened her mouth and took a big bite.

Qin Zheng watched her eat, then opened the soda and handed it to her, saying, "Take it slow."

Qin Zheng stared at her with a smile in his eyes.

When Zhou Nan met Qin Zheng's eyes, she was certain of his love for her.

He really only had eyes for her.

The steamed buns are all gone, and the soda is all gone too.

Qin Zheng fed Zhou Nan grapes one by one, and when she finished eating, he reached out to her mouth to catch the peel and seeds.

Zhou Nan held it in her mouth, frowned, and shook her head. "No need."

"Spit it out," Qin Zheng said.

Zhou Nan had no choice but to spit it into his palm.

"How dirty is it?" Zhou Nan said, biting her lip.

"You're not dirty at all, you smell wonderful from head to toe," Qin Zheng leaned closer. "You've eaten and drunk your fill. Shouldn't I have a few bites?"

He took her lips into his mouth and kissed her passionately.

Zhou Nan's body went limp from his kisses. Qin Zheng grabbed her waist with both hands and pulled her down, causing Zhou Nan to lie on the seat.

Her jet-black hair fell down, covering her chest. Qin Zheng looked at her, his eyes growing even darker.

He leaned down and kissed her. Zhou Nan looked up at the night sky outside the car window and couldn't help but let out a suppressed sound.

She held Qin Zheng's head tightly, her body trembling uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face.

Qin Zheng smiled and gently kissed away her tears.

He kissed her cheeks, the tip of her nose, and her lips little by little.

"Nan Nan," he said, staring into her eyes, "I really love you so much."

"Me too," Zhou Nan murmured as she looked at him.

"I want you so much," Qin Zheng's eyes were bloodshot, his long eyelashes fluttering, "but you're not old enough to get married, I won't touch you."

Qin Zheng's thumb brushed across her brow, as if he were looking at a precious treasure.

Zhou Nan looked at him, took his hand, and placed it on her waist. "I do."

Qin Zheng chuckled and pulled her into his arms. "How can you be so naive? You're too easily fooled, you know?"

"Would you lie to me?" Zhou Nan asked, looking at him.

"What do you think?" Qin Zheng asked in return.

Zhou Nan's face turned pale, and she opened her mouth.

Qin Zheng gently pinched her little nose. "Silly girl, what are you thinking about all day?"

"Let's go, get out of the car. If you kneel down any further, my knees will break."

Zhou Nan then noticed that Qin Zheng had been kneeling on the ground. She quickly sat up.

"Be careful." Qin Zheng quickly protected the top of her head.

Zhou Nan almost ruined his act and laughed awkwardly.

The two got out of the car, and Zhou Nan looked up and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I brought two truckloads of supplies here, hoping they will be of help to the disaster victims."

Zhou Nan looked at Qin Zheng with bright eyes, hooked her arms around his neck, and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Qin Zheng, so this is you! I've been looking for you for ages!" a stylishly dressed woman called out sweetly.

"What do you want?" Qin Zheng frowned, pulling Zhou Nan into his arms. "I'm confiding in my boyfriend about how much I miss him!"

"you!"

The fashionable woman glared angrily at Zhou Nan.

"She's your girlfriend? She's so timid and hesitant, she looks like she comes from a humble background and isn't presentable."

Zhou Nan stepped out of Qin Zheng's arms. "I am Qin Zheng's girlfriend. No matter what I am like, I am the kind of person Qin Zheng likes. It's none of your business to interfere."

Zhou Nan clenched her small fists tightly, her hands trembling slightly with nervousness.
