Upon hearing what Miss Hongyue had said, Gou An instinctively wanted to admit that it was indeed his doing.

After all, "Scarlet Moon" itself means a crimson moon, and the poster's name, "Red Moon," does seem more reasonable.

Gou An was a little puzzled before. How could the owner of a place like the Scarlet Moon Pavilion be a burly tiger demon? It seemed rather incongruous.

If what Miss Red Moon said is true, then everything makes sense.

But just as Gou An opened his mouth to admit the truth and win the beauty's heart, he swallowed back the words he was about to say.

Gou An felt something was off, though he wasn't quite sure exactly what it was. He just felt that if he really admitted it, something bad would happen.

"Alas!" Gou An suddenly sighed, then said, "It's a pity that I didn't kill him, and I really can't take the credit for it."

"What a pity!" Red Moon looked up at Gou An, gently grasped his hand, and squeezed it slightly. "I so wish it were you, fellow Daoist!"

"No, no!" Gou An waved his hands repeatedly, trying his best to resist the temptation in front of him.

"Since you really are not a fellow Daoist, then drink this cup and I will have my servants escort you out!" Miss Red Moon raised her wine cup.

Gou An, being quite perceptive, nodded and said, "Then let's have another drink."

After finishing his drink, Gou An left Miss Hongyue's room and was led downstairs by the demon servant outside the door.

Once the door to Hongyue's room was closed, it seemed that only Hongyue was left inside.

But the next second, in an extremely inconspicuous corner, a figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

It was also a tiger demon, and it looked extremely similar to the Crimson Flame Mountain Lord. The difference was that this tiger demon was blind in one eye and had a scar on its face, which made it look even more terrifying.

"It wasn't him?" The tiger demon walked up, plopped down in a chair, and started drinking from the wine jug.

Hongyue smiled gently, slightly restrained: "He really doesn't have that ability. After all, the difference in cultivation level is too great. He can't possibly be a match for Lord Chiyan Mountain."

"The first part of what he said is pretty much the same as what the others who entered the tower with him said!" Blind Tiger frowned slightly. "The only question is whether the rest of what he said is true or false."

"It doesn't seem like he's lying!" Hongyue said slowly. "This person is very clever. He would never be an enemy of the Mountain Lord, and he has no reason to attack the Mountain Army."

"I'm afraid he's successfully passed the ancient tower's trial and obtained something extraordinary!" the blind tiger muttered. "If that's the case, he might still have a chance to kill my brother."

At this point, Blind Tiger's face grew even more gloomy: "Unfortunately, he's currently an alchemist in the General Pill Hall, so it's not convenient to take direct action. We'll have to investigate from other angles first."

After saying his last words, Blind Tiger suddenly stood up, turned around and was about to leave, but after opening the window, he turned back to look at Red Moon.

"Please let me know immediately if anything else happens!"

Hongyue nodded immediately: "Yes, Lord Shan, I will inform you as soon as possible."

The blind tiger then turned around and jumped out of the window.

Once the blind tiger's aura had dissipated, Hongyue gently beckoned to the window, and the window closed again.

At this moment, only Hongyue remained in the room.

She picked up her wine glass and rubbed it between her fingers, a slight frown on her brow, a hint of doubt in her voice: "Is it really not him? Then who else could it be?"

Just as Miss Red Moon was at her wit's end, there was a sudden knock on the door.

"Who?" Hongyue suddenly looked up and asked.

"Master, Master Gou just said he has something else to tell you." The voice of the demon servant sounded from outside the door.

Upon hearing this, Miss Hongyue frowned even more deeply. After a brief hesitation, she said, "Bring him in."

"yes!"

The demon servant answered immediately.

A short while later, the door was opened again, and Gou An walked in.

"Why have you returned, fellow Daoist?" Miss Red Moon asked with a smile.

Gou An stepped forward and plopped down in front of Hong Yue, saying, "I'm not pretending anymore. I'll lay my cards on the table. I did kill that vicious tiger!"

"Huh?" Hongyue's mouth dropped open in surprise, and it took her a moment to come to her senses: "Didn't you just say it wasn't you who did it?"

Gou An shook his head: "The reason I didn't admit it just now was because I had other concerns."

"But after I went downstairs, I couldn't bear to lie to the young lady, so I returned."

"Is it really you?" Upon hearing this, Hongyue glanced at the window subconsciously, then looked back at Gou An, and asked in confusion, "How did you do that? The Crimson Flame Tiger is a peak Golden Core demon, and even if you are currently only at the stage of condensing your demon core, the difference in strength is huge."

"Because I have a benefactor to help me!" Gou An smiled gently.

"A benefactor?" Hongyue was even more puzzled.

"That's right!" Gou An nodded. "His name is Xuan Kongzi, nicknamed Xuan Laomo, and he's an old friend of mine! He's a genuine Nascent Soul cultivator!"

"When I emerged from the tower, the vicious tiger demanded that I hand over the secret realm's treasure!"

Gou An feigned helplessness: "But I really failed the final trial and didn't get any treasures. I was only spared the pain of having my cultivation drained."

"That vicious tiger didn't believe me and wanted to kill me and steal my treasure!" Gou An described it vividly, as if it were true: "He chased me and I ran, I ran and he chased me."

"Finally, I was too exhausted to run any further and was forced to engage the enemy!"

"I fought that vicious tiger on the snowfield for three days and three nights without closing my eyes once."

"Unfortunately, I still lost by a few points, and it seemed I was about to die in the tiger's jaws when my old friend, the Demonic Xuan, appeared just in time and helped me kill that vicious tiger!"

After hearing Gou An retell the story, Hongyue remained stunned for a long time.

"Is that really true?" Hongyue was clearly skeptical.

"That's right!" Gou An nodded. "I was indeed trapped in the Soul River for decades, but only a few days had passed in the outside world when I came out."

"As for why it took so long to return to the City of Ten Thousand Demons, it's simply because I was in seclusion in the Snow Region for some time."

"If that's really the case!" Hongyue glanced uneasily at the window again before continuing to Gou An, lowering her voice, "Fellow Daoist, you must never admit to having anything to do with me in the future!"

"Otherwise, it could lead to your death!"

Gou An was slightly taken aback upon hearing this: "Is there something else going on behind this?"

Hongyue nodded: "The story I just told you is true, but I've also omitted some details."

"Oh?" Gou An asked, puzzled.

"Lord Crimson Flame Mountain has an elder brother named Lord Ash Yang Mountain!" Red Moon lowered her voice even further: "He is one of the seven great protectors under the Demon King!"

Upon hearing this, Gou An felt a chill run down his spine.

The Seven Great Protectors of the Nation are at the level of Nascent Soul cultivation!

"Then why are you telling me this now?" Gou An asked, puzzled.

Hongyue had no choice but to lower her voice again and answer, "Although I have now regained my position as the master of Feiyue Tower, I am still actually controlled by that Lord Jinyang."

"As the prime suspect in the murder of his brother, I'm forced to test you on his behalf."

"He was in the room just now. If you had admitted it directly, he would probably have taken you away by now."
