A bizarre and terrifying experience; I messed up the dungeon world.

The space was enclosed. Wang Jianguo's gaze fell on Lin Qi. Lin Qi's clothes were badly torn, and the skin at the base of her thighs was exposed.

"Girl, you really should change your clothes," Wang Jianguo said. "I'm worried you'll expose yourself if a fight breaks out."

Lin Qi twirled the short knife in his hand. "Look again and I'll gouge your eyes out."

Wang Jianguo chuckled twice. "You don't appreciate our concern. If it weren't for us, you would have been devoured by those monsters."

Lin Qi didn't speak. She leaned closer to the corner, a short knife clutched in her hand. She stared at the elevator's floor display.

The elevator was descending very quickly. A feeling of weightlessness came over me.

Han Yingying stared at the reflection on the metal door. She thought, the mess Han Fei left behind is getting bigger and bigger. The underground base is the source of immortal beings. The things there can only be of a higher level.

Ding.

The elevator stopped. The doors slid open to both sides.

Outside was a long corridor. Both sides of the corridor were transparent glass rooms.

The lights were a stark white.

Five people walked out.

Han Yingying walked in front. Lu Chen followed on her right.

The corridor was quiet. There were no monster roars.

Ah-Jie looked at the tablet. "No life signals. No magnetic interference either. This place is very clean."

Han Yingying walked to the first glass room. Inside were rows of operating tables, and people were lying on them.

No. Not human.

It was a collection of dismembered corpses. Human torsos. Wild animal limbs. Mechanical entrails.

"A bio-engineering lab," A-Jie said, leaning closer.

Lin Qi looked at the corpses. She thought, "That's what Changsheng Bio used to do. They used people as experimental subjects. The enhancement fluid here has the highest purity."

Wang Jianguo peered through the glass. "These bastards are real psychopaths. They've turned people into this horrible mess."

At the end of the corridor was a double metal door. There was no lock on the door.

Han Yingying pushed open the door.

Behind the door was a huge circular hall. In the center of the hall was a cylindrical glass container, ten meters in diameter, extending straight to the ceiling.

The container was filled with blue liquid.

In the middle of the liquid, suspended, lies a gigantic brain.

The surface of his brain was covered with tubes. These tubes were connected to servers around the hall.

"Is this Zero's server?" Wang Jianguo asked.

A-Jie connected the tablet to the nearby data port. His fingers tapped rapidly.

"It's not a server." Ajay stared at the screen. "It's a bioprocessor. Zero is using the human brain as the computing nodes."

Han Yingying approached the glass container. She looked at the enormous brain. An image flashed through her mind.

Ten years ago, Han Fei stood before this container.

"Yingying, the human brain is the most sophisticated instrument in the universe. Zero computing power has hit a bottleneck. We need more computing power," Han Fei said.

Han Yingying covered her head. A stinging pain came over her.

Lu Chen took her arm. "What's wrong?"

"I remember now." Han Yingying lowered her hand. "This is Zero's backup computing center. It merged the brains of all the senior executives of Changsheng Biotechnology into one thing. That's how this thing was made."

Lin Qi stood by the door without moving. She looked around the hall.

On the wall of the hall, there is a row of safes.

Lin Qi thought, "The enhancement fluid is right there. I'll just take it and leave."

Ah Jie's typing speed increased. "Boss. Data is flowing. This brain is sending signals outward."

"Who should I send it to?" Han Yingying asked.

"I don't know. The signal is encrypted."

The lights in the lobby flickered twice. Then they went out.

The emergency red light is on.

The blue liquid in the glass container began to boil. Dozens of eyes opened on the surface of that enormous brain.

His eyes darted around, looking at the five people in the hall.

The eyes on the brain are entirely black. There are no pupils.

Under the red light, the temperature in the hall began to drop.

"Step back." Han Yingying drew her straight sword.

Lu Chen gripped the butterfly knife in his backhand and stood in front of A-Jie.

Wang Jianguo drew his machete. He glanced at the knife in his hand. "Would this thing even be effective against a brain?"

Lin Qi stopped in front of the safe. She was ten meters away from the center of the hall.

She looked at the brain. She thought, this thing has no physical attack capabilities. How does it kill people?

The eyes on the surface of the brain blinked simultaneously.

An invisible wave spread out.

Han Yingying felt a sharp pain in her eardrums. A shrill noise filled her mind.

Noise acts directly on the nerves.

Wang Jianguo covered his ears. The machete fell to the ground. He knelt on one knee. Blood streamed from his nose.

A-Jie's tablet screen shattered. He crouched on the ground, clutching his head.

Han Yingying gritted her teeth and gripped the straight knife tightly. She endured the excruciating pain and took a step forward.

Lu Chen's movements slowed down as well. He looked at Han Yingying. "Mental attack."

Lin Qi leaned against the safe. The wound on her thigh had reopened. The pain kept her somewhat conscious.

She thought, "These people can't take it. Neither can I. We have to break that glass."

Lin Qi drew his short knife and hurled it forcefully at the glass container.

The dagger struck the glass. It bounced off. Not even a white mark was left on the glass.

"Bulletproof glass," Lin Qi cursed.

Han Yingying gripped the knife with both hands. She closed her eyes, blocking out the noise in her mind.

She recalled the memories she had just regained.

Han Fei once said that zero computational power has an upper limit. Mental attacks require enormous computational power.

Han Yingying opened her eyes. She looked at the servers around the hall.

"Destroy those servers!" Han Yingying shouted.

She charged towards the row of server racks on her left. A straight cleaver cleaved through them. The rack's outer casing cracked. The internal wiring short-circuited, sparks flying.

Lu Chen understood. He forced himself to stand up straight and rushed towards the server rack on his right. He used the butterfly knife to cut the thick cable.

The server rack was damaged. Several eyes on the surface of the brain closed.

The noise in my head decreased.

Wang Jianguo picked up the machete. He wiped the blood from his nose. "I'll chop up this junk."

He charged toward another row of server racks. He slashed down with his knife.

One by one, the server racks in the lobby were destroyed.

The brain inside the glass container began to tremble violently. The blue liquid rippled.

Lin Qi watched this scene. She thought, "These people are very decisive. They found the weakness very accurately."

She turned around and looked at the safe in front of her.

The safe has an electronic lock.

Lin Qi raised the short knife and inserted it through the crack in the door. He then pried it open forcefully.

The door gap is deformed. The electronic lock short-circuited. The door popped open.

Inside were three tubes of golden reagent.

Lin Qi's eyes lit up. This was second-generation gene enhancement fluid.

She put the reagents into her bag.

All the server racks in the lobby were destroyed.

The eyes on the surface of the brain all closed. The mental attack ceased.

Ah Jie collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

Han Yingying walked to the glass container. A straight knife was stuck in the ground.

A valve at the bottom of the container opened. Blue liquid drained away through the pipe.

The glass dome slowly descended.

The enormous brain was exposed to the air. Its surface was shriveled. It had lost its vitality.

A-Jie got up. He took out a spare small terminal and connected it to the interface at the bottom of his brain.

"Boss. The computing center is down. I got some of the logs." A-Jie looked at the screen. "Zero is searching for a physical coordinate."
