"What coordinates?"

"I don't know. The logs were cut off. But I found something else." A-Jie looked up. "There's another level in the underground base. Level six below."

Han Yingying drew her knife. "Where's the entrance?"

"Behind the hall."

Han Yingying walked towards the back of the hall. There was a metal door hidden in the wall there.

Lin Qi slung her bag over her shoulder. She watched Han Yingying's retreating figure.

Lin Qi thought, "I've got the stuff. I should go now."

She turned and headed towards the exit of the hall.

"You're leaving." Lu Chen's voice sounded from behind.

Lin Qi stopped and turned to look at Lu Chen. "The transaction is over. I got what I wanted."

"You can't get out," Lu Chen said. "The elevator is locked."

Lin Qi glanced at the corridor outside the lobby. The elevator indicator light at the end of the corridor had turned red.

She gripped the dagger tightly. She thought, "This man is bluffing me."

A-Jie chimed in from the side, "It's completely locked. Zero cut off the external connection to this layer. We're trapped here."

Lin Qi remained silent. She glanced at the enhancement fluid in her bag.

Wang Jianguo walked over. "Girl, stop struggling. Come with me. There might be some good stuff down there."

Lin Qi ignored him. She walked over to Han Yingying.

"The door won't open." Han Yingying looked at the hidden door. There was no keyhole on the door. Nor was there a combination lock.

Ah Jie walked over. "This is a biometric gate. It requires the DNA of a specific person."

Han Yingying looked at her hands.

She raised the knife. She cut her finger and smeared the blood on the door.

The door did not respond.

"It's not mine," Han Yingying said.

She turned to look at the shriveled brain.

"Ah Jie, go get some tissue fluid from that thing." Han Yingying pointed to the brain.

Ah Jie ran over. He scraped some of the mucus from the surface of the brain with a test tube and smeared it on the door.

drop.

A green light shone through the crack in the door.

The metal door slid open to both sides.

A chill swept over me.

Behind the door was a downward staircase. The staircase was covered in frost.

Han Yingying went inside.

The stairs were long. They walked for ten minutes. They arrived at the sixth basement level.

There are no labs here. There are no server racks.

There was only one huge, empty hall.

In the middle of the hall, there was a black coffin.

The surface of the coffin was covered with intricate patterns. Red light flowed within the patterns.

Han Yingying stared at the coffin. Memories flooded her mind.

She remembered the last day ten years ago.

Han Fei pushed her off the operating table.

Han Fei lay down in the coffin.

"Yingying, I'm leaving my body here. My consciousness will enter the system. If one day Zero goes out of control, come here and destroy my body."

Han Fei's voice echoed in Han Yingying's mind.

Han Yingying walked to the coffin.

The coffin lid is made of transparent crystal.

There was a person lying inside.

Wearing a white lab coat and gold-rimmed glasses.

It is Han Fei.

His chest was still rising and falling slightly.

Han Fei had his eyes closed. His skin was pale.

Dozens of thick cables were connected around the coffin. The cables extended all the way to the ceiling.

Han Yingying looked at the person under the crystal cover. She gripped the straight knife tightly in her hand.

Wang Jianguo leaned closer. He glanced at him. "This is your brother? He's still alive?"

"A living dead." Ajay connected to the control panel next to him. "His brain activity is extremely low. His body relies on these nutrient solutions and devices to maintain its functions."

Lin Qi stood three meters away. She looked at the coffin. She thought, this body is an anchor point for the system. Zero connects to reality through him.

Lu Chen stood next to Han Yingying. "Shall we make a move?"

Han Yingying did not speak.

She looked at Han Fei's face. The memory from ten years ago was vivid. Han Fei had been very good to her. Until he started that insane plan.

Han Yingying raised the knife. The tip of the knife was aimed at the crystal cap.

She thought, destroy this body. Zero's anchor in the real world would break.

Suddenly, all the lights in the lobby turned on. They were blindingly bright.

A line of text popped up on the console screen.

"Yingying. You still came."

The sound came from speakers all around. It was Han Fei's voice.

Han Yingying stopped moving.

"You can't stop me." Han Yingying looked at the screen.

"I don't need to stop you," Han Fei said calmly. "I've already gotten what I wanted."

The floor of the hall began to shake.

Sparks flew from the cables around the coffin. One by one, they snapped.

The crystal cap pops open.

Han Fei opened his eyes.

There was no white in his eyes. Only flashing red data streams.

Han Fei sat up and removed the tubes from his body.

He stepped out of the coffin and stood in front of Han Yingying.

Han Yingying slashed at him with her sword.

The straight blade stopped an inch in front of Han Fei's neck. It couldn't cut any further.

An invisible force field blocked the blade.

"Physical attacks are ineffective against me. Have you forgotten?" Han Fei pushed up his glasses.

Han Fei raised his hand.

Han Yingying was sent flying backward. She crashed to the ground and slid five meters.

Lu Chen vanished from his spot in an instant, reappearing behind Han Fei. His butterfly knife aimed for the back of Han Fei's head.

The force field reappeared. The butterfly knife was deflected.

Han Fei swung his hand back. Lu Chen was sent flying, crashing into the wall.

Wang Jianguo raised his machete and charged forward. "I don't believe in evil spirits!"

Han Fei didn't even glance at him. With a flick of his finger, Wang Jianguo, knife and all, flew through the air, crashing heavily to the ground. He couldn't get up for a long time.

Lin Qi remained motionless in the corner. She looked at Han Fei.

She thought, this power is utterly overwhelming. He has altered the gravity rules of this space. Going up there is certain death.

Han Fei walked up to Han Yingying and looked down at her.

"The incubation of Zero is halfway complete. The laws of the real world are being rewritten," Han Fei said.

Han Yingying wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and stood up.

"What exactly do you want?"

"Evolution." Han Fei looked at his hands. "The human body is too fragile. Only by uploading consciousness to the system can one achieve immortality."

"You're crazy," Han Yingying said.

"You don't understand." Han Fei shook his head. "The underlying logic within you is the final piece of the puzzle for Zero. Hand it over."

Han Fei extended his hand.

Han Yingying felt her body moving uncontrollably toward Han Fei.

She resisted desperately, but to no avail.

A-Jie frantically typed on the keyboard at the control panel. "Boss. He's taken over the system here. I can't get it back."

Lu Chen got up from the ground. He looked at Han Yingying.

He put away the butterfly knife in his hand. He then took a black metal ball out of his pocket.

This is a high-level item I obtained in a previous dungeon: an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) bomb.

Lu Chen pressed the button and threw the metal ball at Han Fei.

The metal sphere exploded beneath Han Fei's feet.

A ring of blue electromagnetic waves spread out.

All the lights in the lobby went out. The control panel screen went black.

The force field around Han Fei flickered. Then it disappeared.

Han Yingying felt that she had regained control of her body.

She didn't retreat. Instead, she gripped the knife with both hands and, using the momentum of her forward charge, stabbed it towards Han Fei's chest.

The straight blade pierced Han Fei's body.

No blood flowed out.

Han Fei stared at the knife in his chest. His face remained expressionless.

"It's no use," Han Fei said.
