LOL: Do I have to be a spinning top too?

December 27, Hongqiao Tiandi Performing Arts Center.

On the giant screen on the exterior wall of the venue, the promotional video for the Demacia Cup Finals was playing on a loop.

The team logos of TES and TT flashed alternately.

The giant screen on the main stage played highlights of both teams' advancement, including Glory's Vayne pentakill, Varus' reverse ultimate, and Camille's E-flash kick to the face.

With twenty minutes to go before the match officially begins, the popularity of the official live broadcast rooms on major live streaming platforms has already exceeded ten million.

The comments scrolled so fast that the screen was obscured.

[Is it today? Top Esports?]

[Hot Topic: Never trust Top Esports. The more you trust Top Esports, the bigger the mistake you'll make.]

Yes, yes! As a die-hard Top Esports fan, I've long been prepared to be a perennial runner-up. I believe Top Esports' second team will inherit the spirit of the first team.

[Hard to say! Didn't you watch the matches a couple of days ago? GloryC was absolutely dominant!]

[Stop bragging, here's some fun fact: Last night, Glory soloed against TheShy on his stream, losing 8 and winning 2 – he got completely wrecked!]

[The comment upstairs is even funnier: If Feng is Shy, he'd be lucky to win two games! After assessment, he's a complete idiot.]

[Haha, the zombies are in chaos! This spring and summer season, even the Zombie King got solo-killed like crazy!]

[Which of Big Yellow, Purple Card, Mountain Chicken, and BIN didn't pull for the Zombie King's spinning top? And yet, this Glory player still got crushed eight times. Clearly, they were just in good form the other day! Look at TT's crushing victory over Tiger—disrespectful to their predecessors!]

[Yo yo yo, the king of classic verbal sparring! A vegetable can talk, he's driving you crazy!]

[A person in a vegetative state, clearly diagnosed with Ding Zhen's condition, are you a Wei fan?]

The comments section was buzzing with heated debate when suddenly the stage lights came on.

The director's camera focused on the main stage.

Yu Shuang, dressed in a lemon-yellow slit dress and wearing high heels, slowly walked into the spotlight with a dignified smile.

The tone of the comments section changed instantly, and the argument vanished into thin air.

[Aunt Yu Shuang is so beautiful!]

[Shark Yu Shuang steals the pipe!]

My wife, my wife!

[My waifu in the comments! My waifu in the comments!]

[As he reaches middle age, Cao Cao's spirit takes over, and he becomes addicted to spying on other men's wives!]

[Pah! Pah! Pah! A bunch of shrimp-headed men, can you please stop being so shameless?]

[The person upstairs has been identified as a chubby little fairy.]

Yu Shuang held the microphone, and her formulaic opening remarks resounded throughout the venue through the speakers:

"Welcome everyone to the 2022 Demacia Cup Finals! I'm your host, Yu Shuang."

"After two weeks of fierce fighting, only two teams have made it to the top..."

"On one side is the youthful storm of TES's second team, which has made a dark horse comeback and swept IG and RNG."

"On the other side is the TT team, which has defeated BLG, JDG, EDG, and is in red-hot form."

"After several rounds of fierce competition, two teams have emerged victorious and will compete for the ultimate championship glory today!"

"Which team will lift the Demacia Cup trophy tonight?"

Let's wait and see!

After the opening ceremony, she turned to the side and raised her hand, her skirt swaying gently.

"First, let's welcome... ThunderTalkGaming!"

The spotlight shone on the exit of the athletes' tunnel.

The TT team members walked out in unison, looking somewhat reserved.

Top laner Hoya, jungler Beichuan, mid laner Ucal, AD carry Huanfeng, support Xinliu.

Huanfeng, who was walking at the front, was expressionless; his thin face showed no emotion.

The comments section instantly erupted in excitement.

【The Sea Whip Boys are here!】

[Red and white marks appear, swelling continues!]

Huanfeng, you have no heart. Do you ever think back to that devastating shot at the World Championship? You shattered LPL's dream of a three-peat!

[The person upstairs is a complete idiot! They're talking nonsense! That incredible shot was in the semifinals! And they still managed to defeat Top Esports! Today will be no exception!]

[That's right, that's right, TT's lineup is even stronger than RNG's. TES is in trouble today.]

[Huanfeng: I'm the world runner-up, beating your Beyblade Team 2 is a piece of cake, right?]

"Next, let's welcome TopEsports!"

Li Hu strode onto the stage, followed by Xiaofang, Wangxiao, Jiaqi, and Mark, their steps brimming with youthful vigor.

The fans holding up Glory signs in the front row immediately screamed, and the shouts of "Go TES!" completely drowned out the cheers from before.

【TES rush! ! 】

Glory looks so serious today, is she really going to get crushed by TT?!

[Hard to say, he got thrashed by Shy eight times last night, I wonder how he's feeling today!]

The two teams of contestants stood in the center of the stage, bowed slightly, and then turned to walk to their respective contestant seats, put on their headphones, and began to adjust their peripherals.

From the commentary booth, Guan Zeyuan smiled and began to speak:

"Welcome everyone to the official League of Legends live stream. I'm commentator Guan Zeyuan."

Rita replied, "Hello everyone, I'm Rita."

Guan Zeyuan began, "After nearly half a month of competition, this Demacia Cup has finally reached its final. Rita, what are your thoughts on today's match?"

Rita looked stunning in a white cheongsam today.

"Actually, both of these teams have one thing in common that made it to the finals... They were not favored, but they defeated strong opponents all the way."

"From the group stage to the semifinals, TT won every match in the knockout stage decisively, except for a slightly close game against BLG in the group stage."

"TES, needless to say, apart from Mark, a group of second-team youth training players swept through IG and RNG, showing a dominance that far exceeded expectations."

"So today's final is truly something everyone is looking forward to."

"Especially TES's second team roster has given us so many surprises as they've fought their way up."

"Especially top laner Glory, in the last two days I've been watching short videos, eight out of ten are highlights of his plays."

"You're absolutely right. I've been watching his match videos these past few days."

Guan Zeyuan said seriously, "The most terrifying thing about this player is not his skillful operation, but his strong tactical adaptability."

"If you let him play a carry role with four protectors, he can get a pentakill; if you let him play a utility top laner and roam, he can make his teammates all farmed."

"Even if you ban five of his signature moves, he can still come up with something new."

"If TT only targets the top lane today, there's a high chance something bad will happen."

Rita smiled, pursing her lips: "But TT isn't weak either!"

"Huanfeng's form has improved this year, Ucal's ability to roam mid and Beichuan's jungle rhythm are all at the upper-middle level of the LPL."

"But what I'm more curious about is, after IG and RNG failed to ban top laners three or five times in the first two rounds."

"How will TT handle the Glory point today?"

"After all, there are only five ban slots, while Glory has already showcased more than eight heroes."

The official commentary team analyzed the situation methodically, while the various secondary live stream rooms were already buzzing with excitement.

In the Tiger Duck platform's four-dog livestream room, Zizai's glasses slipped down to the tip of his nose, and he was making a lot of noise:

"The finals are here!"

"Let me tell you, the key to today's game is the top lane. Can Hoya withstand Glory's pressure?"

"If they can hold on, TT has a chance; if they can't, they'll simply replicate RNG's script and be swept 3-0."

Crystal, standing nearby, leisurely teased, "Yarei, has Taiye become a Top Esports fan now? Why is he so excited?"

"I'm looking forward to seeing if Glory will come up with anything new!" Zitai chuckled, sticking out his big, flirtatious tongue.

"In the first two rounds, he played Vayne, Varus, Camille, Riven, and Sett. Today, I bet he still has some tricks up his sleeve!"

Letme said seriously, "To be honest, TT's lineup is more balanced than RNG's."

"Hoya is stable, Beichuan has good rhythm, Ucal is experienced, and the bot lane duo of Huanfeng and Xinliu is definitely in the upper-middle tier of the LPL."

"If TES wants to win, Glory must continue to carry."

AJ chimed in, "But he lost eight games in his solo match against TheShy last night. Will that affect his performance today?"

He waved his hand dismissively, saying, "You don't understand."

"Being spun around by TheShy is a form of training; the more you get spun around, the stronger you become."

"I've been there myself."

The comments section erupted in laughter.

[Taiye, you didn't say this before when you said Shy was so badly beaten that you questioned your existence and wanted to retire on the spot!]

[Haha! In the training match, the captain fired warning shots one after another!]

[I get it! Taiye must have some kind of passive ability; he becomes weak when he gets hit! Hahaha!]

Miller, Remember, and 957, who are on the same platform, also started their own live streams, with the chat filled with pre-match antics.

Jackylove, TheShy, and Ning also started streaming to watch the match.

On the Douyu platform, Doinb's live stream was equally lively.

Doinb was currently connected to Ah Le via microphone, his tone sarcastic:

"Maya, brothers!"

"I never expected TES to play against TT today!"

"I thought it was EDG playing RNG!"

"These two are the teams that will be competing in this year's World Championship!"

"However, I heard that TES's new top laner, Glory, seems to have something special."

"Ah Le, what do you think?"

The screen was immediately flooded with comments about white monkeys:

Still can't get over not being able to go to Worlds? (Coin)

Ah Le's voice paused for a moment before slowly coming through:

"I've hardly heard of it!"

"But judging from the clips on Bilibili, he plays pretty well. Let's see how he does today."

"However, newbies are usually pretty good at the game before they've been studied, but after that... you know."

The chat exploded the moment they heard that sound, with Doinb's fans, the "White Monkeys," spamming the chat at lightning speed.

[You've already spent fifty yuan to leave a review for someone else?]

[Damn it, if it weren't for your Jax nonsense, would LNG even make it to Worlds this year? They'd be born with one!]

[That dead Feng, Ah Le, still can't tell that Kim Gugu is ordering food for him!]
