Pure Love Imprisoned: My Ex-Boyfriend, Who Blamed Me, Imprisoned Me in Love

Chapter 129 Extra Chapter: Obtaining the Marriage Certificate

When Lin Mian woke up the next day, it was almost eleven o'clock. She turned over and habitually reached out to touch the spot next to her.

It was empty; He Duoye had already gotten up.

Lin Mian then opened her eyes and sat up.

He Duoye had just undergone surgery and was very weak. For more than a month, he woke up later than Lin Mian. During that time, Lin Mian was very worried about his wound recovery, so the first thing she did every day when she woke up was to reach out and touch He Duoye to check on his condition.

Later, He Duoye gradually recovered and started waking up earlier than Lin Mian, but the first thing Lin Mian did after waking up was still to look for him.

As soon as Lin Mian opened the bedroom door, she smelled the aroma of food; He Duoye was making breakfast in the kitchen.

She walked toward the kitchen, then stopped after a few steps and noticed that there were some new things in the living room: fresh fruit on the coffee table, and snacks that had been cleaned out the night before had been put back in the snack cabinet.

The suitcase that was temporarily placed in the entryway has been put away.

Lin Mian walked into the kitchen, where He Duoye was frying eggs. She went over and hugged him from behind.

"What time did you get up?" Lin Mian asked.

Afraid that the oil would splash onto Lin Mian's arm, He Duoye turned off the stove, turned around, and put his arm around Lin Mian's waist: "I'm about two hours earlier than you."

But in reality, He Duoye only slept for a few hours before waking up in a fright. Looking at the dark, unfamiliar house, he couldn't help but wonder if his return with Lin Mian and their marriage registration were just a dream before his death.

He turned his head and looked to the side.

Lin Mian lay on her side next to him, her head lowered, her breathing soft. He Duoye could feel the faint warmth of her breath.

He reached out and gently stroked Lin Mian's face; the warm touch slowly calmed his startled heartbeat.

It's not a dream.

He Duoye pulled Lin Mian into his arms. The change in position made her grumble a couple of times in dissatisfaction, but she didn't wake up. She snuggled closer to him and then fell asleep again.

He Duoye held her, listened to her breathing, looked at the ceiling for a while, then turned his head to look out the window.

The high-rise apartment offers a wide view, overlooking the brightly lit, wide streets and the beautiful lights of distant high-rise buildings—a scene both bustling and tranquil—a view he had longed for countless times during his sleepless nights.

He once thought he would never come back.

Fortunately, he escaped death and returned alive.

He Duoye tightened his arms, pressed his chin against the top of Lin Mian's head, and couldn't help but rub against her twice, until Lin Mian reached out to hit him in her sleep, then he stopped with a chuckle.

Fortunately, he thought.

After waking up, He Duoye didn't go back to sleep. When it was almost time, he quietly got up and diligently tidied up the house. He was also very good at estimating the time to make breakfast.

Everything was just right; Lin Mian woke up when breakfast was almost ready.

"Have you gone out?" Lin Mian asked him. "I saw the fruit on the coffee table."

I ordered several takeout meals.

Lin Mian said "oh," realizing that He Duoye also ordered takeout. Mainly because when she and He Duoye lived together behind the school, he didn't order takeout very often.

He prefers to go out and buy things himself.

Lin Mian shifted her position slightly, pressing her head against He Duoye's chest to listen to his heartbeat and check for any abnormalities.

Because He Duoye wasn't very restrained last night.

Fortunately, it didn't sound like there was anything wrong with it.

"Have you finished listening?" He Duoye asked, his palm touching Lin Mian's face. Their eyes met, and he lowered his head to kiss her.

Lin Mian quickly backed away, saying, "I haven't washed up yet."

She turned and ran out.

When Lin Mian returned after washing up, He Duoye had already prepared breakfast sandwiches and cleaned up the kitchen utensils. Lin Mian went to get the breakfast, but He Duoye grabbed her, pinned her against the counter, and kissed her.

Lin Mian wrapped her arms around the back of He Duoye's neck, and was forced to back away as he kissed her.

He Duoye grabbed Lin Mian's waist, picked her up, and placed her on the kitchen counter. His hands slid down Lin Mian's waist, hooked her legs, and kissed her repeatedly.

It was half an hour later when the two of them finished eating breakfast.

They didn't go out in the afternoon; they just stayed in the living room together, watching TV and playing on their phones.

Lin Mian chatted with her cousin. Her aunt and uncle were doing well lately, occasionally mentioning Lin Mian, but they were worried about her. Lin Mian had left in a hurry before, and then He Duoye had an accident. She didn't tell her uncle that she had gone abroad until a week later.

After that, she would video call to let everyone know she was safe every now and then.

Later, when Lin Mian raised chickens and grew vegetables, she consulted her uncle for tips, but unfortunately, her uncle didn't have much experience in this area and only had a superficial understanding. In the end, he couldn't save the dying seedlings.

Lin Mian plans to invite her uncle and his family out for dinner the day after tomorrow, Saturday.

I had just finished telling my cousin about this when my uncle called, asking when Lin Mian came back, where she was staying, and if she was free to come home for dinner that night.

Just as Lin Mian was about to speak, He Duoye suddenly snatched the phone from behind her: "I'll speak."

He took the phone and said with a smile, "Uncle, it's me, He Duoye."

Lin Mian was in He Duoye's arms, so close that she could hear the voice on the other end of the phone even without the speakerphone on.

The uncle's voice suddenly became tense, and he said awkwardly, "It's Duoye! It's been a long time. You and Mianmian are coming back together. Why didn't you tell me in advance so I could pick you up at the airport?"

He Duoye said, "We came back in such a hurry that we didn't have time to inform you and your aunt."

The uncle asked, "What's wrong? Is there something urgent that needs to be dealt with?"

"It's urgent. Mianmian and I are in a hurry to get our marriage certificate," He Duoye said cheerfully. "We just got the certificate yesterday, and we haven't had time to buy a house yet. Mianmian and I will treat you and your aunt to dinner this weekend."

The uncle was stunned for a moment, then asked in surprise, "You two got your marriage certificate?"

He Duoye looked at Lin Mian in his arms and raised an eyebrow slightly: "Yes, they've already registered their marriage."

After a few seconds of silence, the uncle asked, "Does Mianmian's father know?"

Lin Mian snatched the phone back and said, "I was just about to tell my dad."

The uncle sighed and asked, "So when are you planning to hold a banquet? Are you going to have a wedding?"

"I'm not inviting anyone. There aren't many relatives I need to invite. I'll just have a meal with you, your aunt, and my dad. I'm too lazy to have a wedding. I'll use the money I save to travel."

My uncle said, "It's good that you have your own ideas. If you need any help, remember to call me."

After exchanging a few more words, the call ended. Lin Mian turned to He Duoye and asked, "Are you buying a house?"

He Duoye casually pressed the remote control: "Don't you have to buy a house and a car to get married?"

Lin Mian thought about how rich He Duoye was now and had nothing to say. Instead of thinking about how much money He Duoye would spend on buying a house, she should think about what job she would do next.
