Chapter 72. Lynn Disappears (Seeking Recommendations)

Although the name of the newly acquired title is still embarrassing to utter, its effect is quite good.

It effectively makes up for the lack of "newly enrolled rookies" after they enter the second year.

What pleased Lynn most about Dumbledore was that he never launched into long speeches when he spoke.

Especially when everyone is very hungry.

A sumptuous dinner was served on the long tables of the various houses. Although the food was still delicious, Lynn felt that ever since he had captured Kira and then had him banished by Dumbledore, the food served to him at each meal was far less to his liking than before.

Clearly, the food that had appeared in front of Lynn earlier was specially prepared for him by Kira in the kitchen.

At this dinner party, Lynn certainly didn't sit with Ian at the Ravenclaw table with Cedric; that would have been incredibly tactless.

The atmosphere within Slytherin was actually quite good. Although Lynn had already gotten into fights with a classmate and an upperclassman after only one semester, at least on the surface, the upperclassmen were still quite friendly to him.

The dinner didn't last very late before Dumbledore announced the end of the term and wished everyone a pleasant holiday.

Recently, the hamster suspected of being a spy has been spoiled by him and doesn't seem to be afraid of Lynn's suspicion anymore. It has openly started to complain about eating bread and cookies every day and now hopes that Lynn will bring it meat from the auditorium for every meal.

Lynn was happy to take care of her like this every day. Kira was a house-elf left by his parents in his previous life. Since she regarded him as her master, she certainly wouldn't want to harm him.

This can be seen from its three attacks on Hogwarts; although extreme, everything Kira did was indeed aimed at protecting him.

Therefore, Lynn had no reason to mistreat his spy hamster.

Early the next morning, the new Slytherin prefect began knocking on each room door, waking the young wizards from their beds to prevent them from missing the Hogwarts Express.

Lynn and Cedric Ian were sitting in a box, discussing the courses for the next semester.

"Have you heard who's going to take over as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor next?" Cedric whispered to them, sharing the inside scoop he'd heard.

"It's Professor Quirrell."

"Who is he?" Ian didn't recognize the person.

Lynn explained to him, "He's a professor of Muggle Studies, and I've heard he's a good teacher. He even graduated from your Ravenclaw."

Lynn certainly remembered the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor who appeared in the first book and then died.

It seems that he was possessed by Voldemort during this summer vacation.

Lynn thought to himself, he couldn't quite remember the plot of the original story.

"And another one!" Cedric exclaimed excitedly, "Next year, another big shot will be enrolling!"

Ian wasn't interested in the so-called important figure: "Who is it? The Minister of Magic's son?"

"Of course not, it's Harry Potter!"

"who is he?"

"He was the savior who killed the Mystic when he was just born. It's unimaginable what he would do at Hogwarts!"

Ian and Lynn were both uninterested in the matter. Ian was completely unaware of the history of the wizarding world, while Lynn knew everything about the future, so he was indifferent to the fact that it was just Harry Potter's enrollment.

Seeing that they weren't interested, and that the conversation wasn't very interesting, Cedric changed the subject.

"My family goes to the beach for vacation every summer," Ian said.

"That's good too. It would be nice to go to the beach for a summer vacation. I'm just worried that you'll be much darker next semester."

Seeing that they all had plans, Cedric said with a sigh.

"I don't know what my dad is thinking. He wanted to take our family on a trip last summer, but he was too busy with work at the Ministry of Magic, so it was postponed until this year. I don't know if we'll be able to go this year."

Ten seconds later, like Lynn, he closed his eyes, pushed the cart, and jogged through the wall.

When he opened his eyes, he was surrounded by people coming and going. People dressed in modern clothes were hurrying through the station, and no one noticed that he had walked out of a wall.

He returned to the world of normal people.

Ian felt a pang of emotion, but then he realized something was wrong!

Because Lynn was nowhere to be seen.

Ian frowned and carefully observed his surroundings for a long time, but still couldn't find Lynn's whereabouts.

Lynn has disappeared!
