My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 74, Section 073: The Vanishing Magic

Chapter 74, Section 073: The Vanishing Magic (Seeking Recommendations)

Lynn sensed something was wrong the moment he passed through the wall of Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.

The familiar dizziness made his stomach churn, and it felt as if invisible forces were tearing at him from all sides. Then, as if he had suddenly fallen from a high platform, he stumbled and landed on the soft ground.

All around, "bang bang" sounds rang out continuously as his luggage fell from the sky like dumplings being dropped into a pot. The largest luggage cart landed right in front of Lynn's face, startling him so much that he quickly retreated.

Having experienced Apparition once before, Lynn didn't vomit this time. He held his knees, gagged a few times, and patted his face with his cold hands before recovering from the dizziness.

Looking around, Lynn realized that he was standing on a small hill with the sea behind him and scattered houses in the distance, and a town in the far distance.

This was clearly no longer King's Cross Station, and he wasn't even sure if it was still in England.

The sound of waves crashing against the rocks came from behind, and with the afterglow of the setting sun on the horizon and the quiet town in the distance, it should have been a beautiful scene.

But Lynn had no mood for appreciation at that moment.

His face was as black as if it were covered in soot. The wall in the station couldn't possibly have malfunctioned on its own, and even if it did, it wouldn't happen to him by sheer coincidence.

He was clearly scammed!

Lynn immediately started searching through his luggage, but he couldn't find his "pet." Little Burial's cage had been opened by itself sometime earlier, and it had already slipped away.

Umaru wasn't found, but that also confirmed who was behind his scheme.

"Kira! Get out here!" Lynn shouted angrily.

Then, responding to his call, the old house-elf Kira weakly emerged from behind a rock not far away.

"Little master..."

"Don't call me master!"

"But Lynn Bellok is Kira's master!"

The house-elf suddenly became assertive, tilting its head back and shrieking.

Lynn looked at it coldly: "If you really consider me your master, then take me back to London now."

"No! Young master must obtain what belongs to old master! Otherwise, young master is unworthy of old master's wealth and his surname!"

Kira shook its big head and screamed hysterically.

"I never intended to be worthy! I command you, Kira! Now, immediately, right now! Take me back!"

"Kira can't obey its young master's orders! Kira will punish itself, but Kira isn't a bad elf! Because Kira does everything for its young master's good!"

Lynn laughed in exasperation, feeling that something was wrong with his brain for arguing with a hopeless house-elf.

"Okay, let's both calm down. First of all, you brought me here because you want me to get something?"

"Yes." Kira's voice also became weak.

"Was that something left to me by my father?" Lynn asked, trying to get information out of the house-elf.

Kira shook her head.

"Is that my mother?"

It still shook its head.

"Who is that?" Lynn asked impatiently.

"Kira can't tell. The old master ordered Kira not to tell the young master."

Suppressing his anger, Lynn changed the subject.

"You have to tell me what you want me to take, right?"

"Kira doesn't know what it is either. Kira only knows that the little master must get it."

Lynn was furious. He ignored the unreasonable house-elf, picked up his things from the ground, and put them back on the cart.

He pushed the cart toward the town. No matter where he was, he was going back. It would be better if he were still in England, but if he wasn't, he wouldn't have the same restrictions on using magic. Lynn didn't believe that the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic could cross borders to arrest him.

Kira didn't follow him; instead, she kept screaming behind him.

"Young master, you must obtain that item. It is your proof! It is proof of your noble bloodline! Only the highest bloodline is worthy of it! Only it is worthy of the highest bloodline!"

Lynn scoffed without turning his head.

"Unless you use the Imperius Curse to control me, I must go back now. I must be out of my mind to go find that nonsense you're talking about."

"Kira won't hurt its little master, but the little master will. He will go to it on his own, because the little master is the one who needs it the most."

Lynn snorted coldly, said nothing more, and continued pushing the cart toward the small town in the distance.

The sky was gradually darkening. Kira had disappeared somewhere. He walked onto the solid concrete road. Occasionally, cars would drive past him. Gradually, Lynn could even see the shadows of people under the lights of the nearest house.

Suddenly, Lynn felt something disappear from his body.

He stood there stunned for a full five seconds before suddenly reacting as if bitten by a venomous snake, his face changing drastically, and he quickly retreated.

The magic within him is gone!

Lynn didn't even bother with his luggage, and ran all the way back to the small hill where he had appeared earlier.

But the magic that had vanished from his body seemed to have been stolen by someone and never returned.

Although he didn't know what had happened, Lynn was certain that he had been tricked by Kira.

There's something wrong with that town; it's deliberately not telling him, just wanting him to go in.

The house-elves were nowhere to be seen now; they had obviously run away by the time Lynn realized something was wrong.

"You just wait!" Lynn said through gritted teeth.

He still wanted to enter the town; the suddenly vanished magic was clearly related to this strange town.

No matter what, he had to get his magic back, otherwise he could forget about magic and Hogwarts forever.

Fortunately, although the magic was gone, the system was still there, and not only that, it also gave him a task that kept up with the times.

[Urgent Mission: Find the Stolen Magic]

[Quest Rewards: 1 Legendary Point, 3 Magic Points]

[Punishment for failure: Permanent loss of magic, complete isolation from the magical world, and the application of a forgetting spell, causing the user to forget everything about the magical world.]

"Fuck!"

Lynn cursed under his breath. He hadn't paid much attention to the mission rewards. This was the first mission the system had given him with a penalty for failure, a penalty he couldn't afford no matter what.

After considering the consequences, Lynn did not hesitate and headed straight back towards the town.
