"Are the negotiations over?"

In the newly expanded courtyard of the Technology Chamber of Commerce in Soto City, Chen Hong, sitting in a chair, saw Ning Lu walking in from outside. He immediately jumped off the chair, smiled, and went to greet her, inviting his mother to take a seat.

"Hey, brat, I don't know where he got his hands on the papal decree. I thought we'd have a lot of negotiations, but it turned into a one-sided agreement." Ning Lu glanced at her good-for-nothing son with complicated emotions, took the tea from him, blew on it gently, and then sipped the tea to moisten her throat.

"The Heaven Dou Empire is willing to purchase the exclusive ownership of the Soul Engine within the Heaven Dou Empire for 100 million gold soul coins. In other words, we can no longer sell it to other kingdoms. Moreover, 100 of the Heaven Dou Empire's 20 million gold soul coins will be paid in cash, and the remaining 80 will be repaid with stones of equal value, which we can exchange from the city-states within the Empire's territory."

"There are some experts within the Heavenly Dou Empire," Chen Hong said with a flicker of his eyes.

"Indeed." Ning Lu nodded. "I heard it was at the behest of the eldest prince, Xue Qinghe. It seems they prepared several plans long ago, and are just waiting to see how we react."

In total, the Heaven Dou Empire only spent 20 gold soul coins to buy out the channels for the spread of Soul Motion within the Heaven Dou Empire. As for the roads, they were built on their territory and the ownership belonged to the Heaven Dou Empire, so they did not suffer any losses.

Moreover, the 20 gold soul coins spent by the Heaven Dou Empire can be recovered by reselling the soul engine blueprints. With this back and forth, the Heaven Dou Empire essentially got the technology blueprints for free, while also forcing the Technology Chamber of Commerce to build roads for their country. In the process, the Heaven Dou Empire might even make a profit.

"Mom, could this be interpreted as a warning from the eldest prince?" Chen Hong thought for a moment, then said softly, "After all, we discovered a precious mineral vein within the Heaven Dou Empire, but we reported it to the Spirit Hall immediately and cooperated with the Spirit Hall to complete the sovereignty claim. It seems that some people within the Heaven Dou Empire have some opinions about us."

Ning Lu leaned back in her chair, looking at the hazy moonlight outside the Chamber of Commerce, and said indifferently while holding her tea: "Let them give us a warning. At worst, we'll go back to your grandfather. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School still has a lot of influence in the Heaven Dou Empire."

"That's true. Anyone else would have to fight alone, but I have my mom, the big boss behind the scenes!"

Chen Hong chuckled softly. He didn't care about the Heavenly Dou Empire's opinion. On the contrary, it suited his wishes. He had been thinking about how to extend the road to other places, but now that the Heavenly Dou Empire was taking the initiative to build a bridge, he reluctantly accepted it.

There were no problems on the Barak Kingdom's side. They agreed to the Technology Chamber of Commerce's request for free road construction and free passage, which was a risk-free and highly profitable deal for them.

At the same time, the Technology Chamber of Commerce, which established a trade agreement with the Heaven Dou Empire and the Spirit Hall, was officially established in Soto City. During this period, Chen Lin, as the vice president of the Blacksmith Guild, gathered more than 20 blacksmiths and more than 50 blacksmith apprentices for the Technology Chamber of Commerce, and established the earliest production department of the Technology Chamber of Commerce.

Ning Lu also contacted some friends in the Chamber of Commerce with Chen Hong to help set up the Chamber's management department.

This is a kind of joy that people from Zaun will never experience!

Every employee who passes the assessment and joins the Science and Technology Chamber of Commerce is required to memorize "The Theory of Technological Thinking".

What? You're saying you can't read? Okay, now you're a temporary worker.

Temporary worker:

"Crush the limestone and mix it into the clay in this ratio."

In a workshop filled with lime, Chen Hong watched his father, Chen Lin, teaching a group of apprentices how to make cement.

Cement does exist in this world, but its strength is relatively low. Chen Hong improved the formula and then gave it to Chen Lin, letting his father go out and make his mark.

"Master Li, come and burn this powder dry," Chen Lin said to a middle-aged blacksmith.

"Yes, Chairman!" Suddenly, a ball of flame rose from the middle-aged blacksmith's hand, and he then calcined the mixed powder on the ground into a solid material. Finally, Chen Lin ordered someone to add a certain proportion of iron slag.

"Let me show you our chamber of commerce's core products!"

Chen Lin poured the mixture into the Soul Power Grinding Mill next to him and injected Soul Power. Driven by the Soul Power, the grinding mill started to operate automatically. With a series of roars, a large amount of grayish-white powder began to fall from the outlet below and began to dissipate in the breeze.

"This is cement! By mixing it with water and sand, you can obtain a hard stone that hardens. Remember to wear masks while you work, as inhaling too much powder is bad for your health," Chen Lin explained to the apprentices present.

"Understood, Master!" the apprentices nodded in unison.

"Alright! Now I'll start assigning you to work groups! Each group should do its own thing without interfering with each other. I'll start taking attendance now."

Chen Lin divided the responsibilities among the apprentices present, breaking down the entire cement production process into several independent steps, with each group only handling the work of its own step.

Yes, the assembly line—Chen Hong never intended to keep it from the beginning. Let outsiders copy it if they want; he doesn't mind.

After nearly a week of hard work, Chen Lin, with Chen Hong's help, successfully started up the cement plant of the Science and Technology Chamber of Commerce. At the same time, he also built a sand and gravel plant near the river on the Lima Plain next to Soto City.

The initial cement produced was used by the Science and Technology Chamber of Commerce to build a road towards their sand and gravel plant by the river, and a month later, they successfully completed the first improved cement road.

When the first cement road opened to traffic, to the astonishment of the entire city, ten KODO trucks equipped with rubber outer wheels appeared on the snow-white, smooth road in the suburbs, which was an average of four meters wide!

At the beginning of the road, a three-meter-high marble-carved stone tablet stands quietly, with the words "This road is sponsored by the Science and Technology Chamber of Commerce for your convenience" written in standard font.

"My God! Is that the cement road they advertised? Judging from the name, I thought it would be a mud road!"

"I heard the Technology Chamber of Commerce is going to keep building roads! Everyone will be able to use them! It will make getting around much easier!"

"Look! That's the legendary soul-guided vehicle that can move with just soul power! It's so beautiful!"

"Quickly contact their merchant guild! The Baron wants to place an order for that soul-guided vehicle!"

The moment the Soul-Moving Truck appeared alongside the cement road, the Soul Masters and nobles from nearby city-states immediately understood what the Technology Chamber of Commerce was up to!

Road construction! Car sales!
