Chapter 243 Entering into a Contract

Napalm bombs are gel-like substances made of gasoline and other chemicals. Because they cannot withstand the enormous chamber pressure when a shell is fired, they cannot be fired from a howitzer.

The launch method chosen by scientists in the military industry is to use a flying spirit beast to launch it.

This thing flies so slowly compared to a cannonball that even though the Nine-Tailed Fox is slow, it can easily dodge it.

After calculating the descent speed of the shell, Nine-Tails was certain that she could grab Ning Yuan before the bomb hit her and then jump out of the napalm bomb's attack range.

So he simply stood still, with only the golden chakra continuing to spread, and in the blink of an eye he arrived in front of Ning Yuan.

"You brat, come here!" Nine-Tails grinned, and golden chakra transformed into a giant hand, about to engulf Ning Yuan.

Ning Yuan also remained still, reached out and pointed, and the same golden light directly cut off the chakra that Nine-Tails had extended!

He also took the severed portion of chakra in his hand and began to analyze its properties.

"Although it's golden, it's not Light Release; it's Yang Release, which enhances elemental properties!"

Just as Water Release can exert heavy pressure and cut, possessing multiple attributes, so too can Yang Release.

There are treatments used in medical ninjutsu, cell volume amplification used in the Expansion Technique, and overall enhancements used to activate cells—this is the one used in the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.

This chakra attribute is not difficult to develop; Ning Yuan only studied it for a few milliseconds before he had a development idea.

Incidentally, based on the nature of this chakra, Ning Yuan came up with another development direction.

Golden Light Curse!

It is the Golden Light Mantra, one of the eight great divine mantras of Taoism.

The Nine-Tails' chakra manifestation is too similar to the Golden Light Mantra, with the same amplification of all attributes and the same unparalleled defensive power.

The only difference is that the Golden Light Mantra is light, while the Nine-Tails' chakra is not light.

But it's not a big problem, Ning Yuan knows how to use Light Escape.

So, if I combine this Yang Release and Light Release, wouldn't I be able to replicate the Golden Light Mantra?

"What is that?!" Ning Yuan's thoughts were only a moment long, while the Nine-Tails was still in shock at having its chakra severed!

It was too late to extend another chakra at this point, and Kurama was afraid that if it extended another chakra, it would be cut off again.

He simply stopped attacking Ningyuan and instead crouched down, ready to jump away from there.

New bombs are about to fall. Are we going to stay here and wait to die instead of leaving?

But no sooner had it lay down than a surge of power was applied directly to its body.

This force was like a mountain, and once it collapsed, it couldn't get up again!

"What is this?" Kurama cried out in horror. The last time he faced such a surging power, which left him powerless to resist, was when Madara and Hashirama were at his hands!

This power is even more terrifying than those two, because when facing those two, Kurama at least knew exactly how he lost.

Now, he doesn't even know who made the move or what move it was!

"Rage!" The napalm bombs held by the two cranes finally landed on the Nine-Tails, and then orange-red flames burst out and burned directly on the Nine-Tails' body!

"Awooo!" The Nine-Tails screamed again, this time even louder than before!

Ning Yuan silently sensed the Nine-Tails' aura and compared it with the previous three times.

Although both armor-piercing and armor-piercing projectiles pierced through Kurama's body, the greatest damage to Kurama came from the initial rocket launcher, followed by napalm bombs, then armor-piercing projectiles, and finally armor-piercing projectiles.

Observing the chakra emanating from Kurama's body, Ning Yuan roughly understood the underlying principle.

The Nine-Tails' body is made of chakra, and it can be roughly regarded as a fox that ate a Logia-type Devil Fruit, so physical damage alone has very little effect on it.

This is why, although armor-piercing rounds can hurt the Nine-Tails, they don't cause much damage.

To damage the Nine-Tails, you need to use energy to counteract it.

The ninjas used ninjutsu to fight each other, while the technology side uses burning, gunpowder, and metal jets to create damage.

The rocket launcher has the greatest explosive power and causes the most damage to the Nine-Tails.

Secondly, there's napalm.

Although the hollow-charge armor-piercing projectile has a metal jet, the metal jet is not energy. Although it caused damage to the Nine-Tails, the damage was very small.

According to this theory, as long as the thermobaric bomb doesn't directly burn the Nine-Tailed Fox, the damage it will cause should be negligible.

Thermobaric weapons kill by suffocation, while the Nine-Tails is a chakra life form and does not need to breathe.

The white phosphorus incendiary bomb should be quite lethal to the Nine-Tails, and might even be more so.

Atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs can also kill the Nine-Tails, and the effect would be even better, because the energy released when atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs explode far exceeds that of the Nine-Tails. It is not impossible for a single bomb to blast the Nine-Tails into oblivion.

In conclusion, the Nine-Tails is a chakra energy body with a total energy of about 100 TJ (100 trillion joules, 1.5 times that of the little boy). It would only take an equal amount of cannonballs to completely annihilate the Nine-Tails.

In reality, Kurama (the Nine-Tails) probably wouldn't have lasted longer than 100 trillion joules before it died.

Nine-Tailed Fox had no idea that after just four rounds of bombs, Ning Yuan had thoroughly investigated its secrets.

It was still screaming pitifully and rolling on the ground, trying to extinguish the fire on its body with soil.

Napalm bombs contain their own accelerants, so they don't need oxygen from the air at all.

Of course, it's impractical to extinguish flames by rolling around.

"Damn Ning Yuan!" Nine-Tailed Fox struggled for a long time but couldn't put out the gasoline. In the end, the gasoline burned out on its own.

It struggled to its feet and then turned to look at the terrible state of its body.

The Nine-Tailed Fox was once entirely orange-red, the whole body the same color, how beautiful and elegant it looked!

But now, his body is covered in patches of gold and orange, mottled and uneven, as if that little vendor had stuck a bunch of little GGs on it.

If the wounds were evenly distributed like on a Dalmatian, at least they wouldn't look bad. But these wounds are extremely unevenly distributed, making them look incredibly ugly!

If this were a private sparring match, and I were beaten like this, even Kurama wouldn't be able to tolerate it. You're strong, you're awesome, I'll respect you.

But now, this is happening in front of the other eight tailed beasts!

Where is my Nine-Tailed Fox's face now?

In an instant, Nine-Tails forgot why it couldn't move just now, and turned its head to look at Ning Yuan, wanting to rush up.

Ning Yuan looked at the Nine-Tailed Fox, whose face was contorted, and said with a smile, "The rocket launcher, the one that was used to attack you in the first wave, we produced 1200 of them, and it can fire a total of 1200 rounds."

"Armor-piercing rounds, the ones from the second wave that hit you, there should be about 30,000 rounds in stock right now!"

"Armor-piercing rounds, the ones from the third wave that hit you, there should be about 100,000 rounds in stock right now!"

"Napalm bombs, the ones used in the fourth wave of attacks against you, there should be around 50,000 rounds in stock right now!"

Nine-Tails paused, suddenly feeling that her temper had improved considerably. Although she had been blown up, it wasn't unbearable.

After all, I'm not dead!

As for whether Ning Yuan was lying, Jiuwei guessed he might be, but he didn't dare to gamble.

Do you know how intense the pain is when an incendiary bomb burns on your body?

I don't want to try it again!

"Ning Yuan, what exactly do you want!" Nine-Tailed Fox asked sharply.

Ning Yuan said, "You nine tailed beasts are too powerful, posing a threat to everyone's lives. Moreover, you have long lifespans and are immortal. Human prison sentences and the death penalty are meaningless to you!"

"How can you blame me?" Kurama said, feeling a little aggrieved. Hashirama said that back then, and now you're saying the same thing.

You're already so powerful, yet you still treat us as a threat? Is there no justice in this world?

"Your strength is undeniable, but you're like a river constantly on the verge of bursting its banks. The river itself isn't at fault, but can people simply ignore it?"

Nine-Tailed Fox pursed his lips; he understood what Ning Yuan meant.

"So, you want me to submit to you?" Kurama sneered. "I thought you, Ning Yuan, were someone with vision, but it seems you're no different from Hashirama!"

"I may have a grand vision, but I also have to be responsible for the lives of the 400 million people of Guining!" Ning Yuan said. "But don't worry, the measures I'm taking are different from those of Hashirama!"

"Hashirama chose to seal you within objects or human bodies. My solution is to distribute you to the wilderness; those who wish to live in the mountains will be given a mountain, and those who wish to live in lakes will be given a lake!"

"You are free to live there, and it's even possible to come out for a stroll every week!"

"Such a good thing?" Kurama was overjoyed! "Then I want a mountain, the one that used to be on the border between the Land of Rivers and the Land of Fire. That's where I used to live!"

"Sure!" Ning Yuan nodded, "But you're not just getting to live in the mountain for free!"

"What do you want?" Nine-Tailed Fox asked hurriedly.

As long as I can regain my freedom, I don't care about the sacrifices!

"First and foremost, you must remember that under no circumstances must you harm the people returning home!"

"What if they come to provoke me?" Nine-Tails asked.

"We will announce in the middle school that provoking the Tailed Beasts is prohibited, and we will also set up management personnel at your residences. If anyone deliberately provokes them, they will take action!"

What kind of management personnel are they? Aren't they just monitoring us?

Nine-Tailed Fox pouted, but it wasn't a big problem, so she agreed.

"Is there anything else?" Nine-Tails asked again.

"Furthermore, you have an obligation to protect and rescue the people of Guining. For example, if they go to the mountains to play and fall off a cliff, you should also lend a helping hand."

"The mountain is so big, I'm on this side, they're on the other side, how am I supposed to know something happened to them?" Nine-Tails said irritably, "Your condition is too harsh!"

"Of course, it's within your capabilities. We'll also build roads and ladders on the mountain, so accidents are generally unlikely!" Ning Yuan said. "Secondly, you won't be working for nothing. If you successfully save someone, we'll give you a bonus!"

"Tch, I'm a tailed beast, I don't need your reward!" Kurama said irritably.

Ning Yuan smiled. The Nine-Tailed Fox is also an intelligent life form, but it is not the kind of life form that is devoted to the path of immortality.

Such a life, if spent too long in the mountains, will inevitably become boring.

When you return to your hometown and have a cell phone, novels, and snacks, I'll give you one.

I don't believe you won't get addicted.

Once you're addicted, how can you still not lack money?

However, it would be quite easy for Nine-Tailed Fox to make money if he wanted to. He could just start a live-streaming sales event and create a Nine-Tailed Fox selection. Unless Ning Yuan personally takes the lead, probably no one in the entire Guining region could rival his popularity.

"Is there anything else?" Nine-Tails continued to ask.

"Finally, let me leave you with one last thing!" Ning Yuan laughed. "I've invented a mutual contract technique that allows us to establish a pact with you. If one party breaches the contract, we can use this pact to punish the breaching party!"

Nine-Tailed Fox immediately frowned.

Although the chakra of a tailed beast is an energy body, it also contains a soul. If one of its chakras is cut off, that chakra is lost forever.

Refer to the Eight-Tails whose horns were cut off by Orochimaru.

If it loses one tail, wouldn't it become eight tails?

But he also knew that if he didn't leave something behind today, it wouldn't be easy for him to leave.

Recalling the four terrifying bombs just now, Nine-Tails gritted her teeth: "One whole one isn't enough, I'll give you half!"

"Even half a tail will do!" Ning Yuan nodded. "Then stick your tail out, and we'll draw up a contract right now!"

"Okay!" Nine-Tailed Fox came to Ning Yuan's side.

At this moment, he could have unleashed the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and suddenly grabbed Ning Yuan.

But then he thought of the strange force that had just suppressed him.

After thinking about it, I decided against it. It's just a half-finished business; what does it amount to compared to freedom?

With its tail outstretched in front of Ning Yuan, Nine-Tailed Fox suddenly turned its head away, like a child afraid of getting a shot, completely unable to watch Ning Yuan's actions.

"Hurry up, I... ouch!" Before the Nine-Tailed Fox could finish speaking, it felt a pain from its very soul, almost making it faint!

This pain is thousands of times more intense than being burned by gasoline!

Fortunately, the pain was only momentary. Nine-Tails just rolled its eyes and then felt as if it was over.

Turning its head again, sure enough, one of its tails was missing half of its length, and now its nine tails had become eight and five tails!

"It's so ugly!" Nine-Tails looked at the only short tail segment and thought about giving it away. Otherwise, with eight long tails and one short one, it just looked awkward no matter how you looked at it.

But after thinking about it for a long time, I decided against it.

If I practice diligently in the future, maybe I can grow even taller!

Seeing Ning Yuan seal his tail and hand him a document, Nine-Tailed Fox hesitated, "How do I sign this?"

Write down your name!

"Is it that simple?" Nine-Tails carefully picked up the pen and wrote her name on the paper, but she didn't feel any sense of establishing a contract.

The ninja world also has contract techniques, but previously there was only one: the summoning contract.

Neither party is aware of the contract when it is signed. Ning Yuan didn't even realize that the slug had a contractor until after he summoned it once.

Nine-Tailed Fox had expected this special contract to have some special feeling, but it didn't.

Looking at her own name on the document, Nine-Tails felt a strange sense of emotion.

It's been almost 40 years since he was captured by Hashirama!

So now I am free?

It's really strange.

Tailed beasts are inherently free. He was captured by Hashirama, imprisoned for 40 years, bombarded by Ning Yuan, and finally extorted half of his tail.

But inexplicably, it now feels somewhat grateful to Ning Yuan.

Am I a pervert?

After much thought, Nine-Tailed Fox understood why he was grateful to Ning Yuan.

It used to live in the mountains and forests, seemingly free, but in reality, it was not free.

All the common people feared him, and all the samurai and ninjas longed for his power.

Before being captured by Hashirama, he had countless conflicts with humans, and that's how he earned the name of the Demon Fox.

The conflict with Hashirama may seem accidental, but it is actually inevitable. As long as a genius emerges in the human race who can suppress the tailed beasts, he will inevitably suffer this calamity.

Now, what happens after signing the contract with Ningyuan?

He may seem to have lost a lot, but in reality, his identity has been officially recognized by the Guining Immortal Dynasty. He is no longer the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, but the Nine-Tailed Immortal Fox officially recognized by the Guining Immortal Dynasty.

From then on, no one would have designs on him anymore, he would no longer be bothered by wave after wave of fox-hunting teams, and he would no longer have to face ambitious individuals who were like wasps, endless and impossible to eradicate.

As long as the Gui Ning system exists, he will be able to enjoy this freedom forever.

After figuring this out, the Nine Lamas suddenly became less opposed to the idea of treating the people of Guining.

After all, the longer he stays at his parents' home, the longer he can be free!

Moreover, on the other hand, the Fox Head Mountain where I lived in seclusion back then was remote and gloomy, with cliffs everywhere.

Unless a person returning to their hometown has nothing better to do, why would they go to the mountains?

I didn't even have a chance to make a move!

His vision was wonderful, but unfortunately he underestimated the speed of Guining's development.

Ten years later, stairs were laid and a cable car was built on Fox Head Mountain.

Because of the presence of celestial foxes, this place has been rated as a 5S-level scenic area, receiving tens of millions of tourists every year.
