Chapter 30 Iron Guard

"Teacher, you've worked hard." Shi Quan reached out and helped Mald inside, then turned around and quickly poured water for Mald.

"Haha, it's no trouble at all." Mald finished his water in one gulp, pulled Shi Quan aside to sit down, and said, "Let's get down to business first."

"Xiao Quan, look what this is?" With that, Mald took out a gold medal from his pocket and handed it over. The gold medal was simple in design, but Shi Quan could feel that it contained a special energy flow. The character "天" (heaven) was engraved on the gold medal.

"This is..." Shi Quan looked at the gold medal in Mald's hand with a puzzled expression.

Mald said with a smile, "This is His Highness the Crown Prince's personal token, his personal symbol. Having it means you are His Highness's person."

Upon hearing Marde's words, Shi Quan suddenly remembered that Xue Qinghe had also given Tang San an identical token in the original story, and this token played a significant role in the later upheaval in the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace.

"After reading your theory, His Highness the Crown Prince was first amazed, then full of praise. Upon hearing about your situation, he immediately gave me this token, dispatched dozens of Iron Guards to protect you, and invited you to Tiandou City." As he said this, Mald's voice was filled with reluctance and worry.

"Iron Guard?" Shi Quan asked again, puzzled.

"I came back early because I was afraid something might happen to you. The Iron Guards are still behind you and should arrive in a couple of days. These Iron Guards were sent by the Crown Prince to protect your safety. You can use this token to call them." With that, Mald placed the heavy token in his hand into Shi Quan's hand.

"If you wish to go to Heaven Dou City, these Iron Guards will escort you there."

Shi Quan held the token in his hand, his expression complex. Mald had truly been good to him, treating him like a personal disciple and always putting him first in everything. He said sincerely, "Teacher, rest assured, I have always remembered your teachings over the past few years. Even if I leave the academy, you will always be my teacher."

"It's good that you have the heart." Mald sighed. How could he not understand that Notting City was too small, and Shi Quan's world was a much wider outside.

He understood that when Shi Quan sent him to Tiandou City, he already had a plan to go there. The knowledge he gained at Notting Academy could no longer help him. If he wanted to achieve greater things, he had to go out and explore the wider world.

Even though Mald was prepared, he still felt a pang of sadness when he heard Shi Quan say it himself.

Mald gently patted Shi Quan's head and said kindly, "Once you're out there, you'll have to rely on yourself. If you get tired or weary out there, come back to the academy. As long as I'm here, there will always be a place for you at the academy..."

Hearing Marde's words, Shi Quan felt a surge of emotion.

"Thank you, teacher." Hearing Shi Quan's sincere and earnest voice, Malde's cloudy eyes couldn't help but redden.

"Let me tell you about Tiandou City instead," Mald said, wiping his eyes and changing the subject.

It was through Marde that Shi Quan learned the specific details of how things had unfolded.

When Mald first arrived in Tiandou City, he encountered setbacks everywhere. Xue Qinghe was the crown prince of a country, and he could not see him whenever he wanted. After trying many times, he could not see Xue Qinghe.

After some investigation, Mald turned his attention to the Heaven Dou Royal Academy. He took the theory to the Heaven Dou Royal Academy's teaching committee, showed them the original draft, and repeatedly assured them of the theory's authenticity. Only then did Mald finally meet Xue Qinghe and present the revised initial draft of the theory.

What followed was much simpler. After learning about Shi Quan's situation from Malde, Xue Qinghe dispatched his personal guards to Notting City to protect him. The fact that Xue Qinghe sent his own guards to protect him based on just a theory showed how much he valued him.

According to Xue Qinghe's original words, these Iron Guards were bestowed upon him to protect him.

At the same time, Xue Qinghe also extended an invitation to Shi Quan to study at the Tiandou Royal Advanced Academy.

As long as he goes, Xue Qinghe will arrange a noble status for him and give him a lot of rewards.

It can be said that they are full of sincerity.

Shi Quan thought for a moment and said, "Teacher, there are still about two weeks left in this semester. Let's finish this semester and then help me with the early graduation procedures."

"You've seen it all through." Mald laughed. "Very well, very well indeed. I knew I hadn't misjudged you."

……

Two days later.

Clang, clang, the deep sound of clashing armor echoed from outside Nottingham City.

A well-organized cavalry unit marched toward Nottingham with impeccable military discipline.

"What's that?" The guards at the city gate, seeing the Heavenly Dou Empire's banner held high by the iron cavalry, were startled and immediately shouted, "Open all the city gates!"

The city gates sounded a deep gong, and all the main gates of the city wall opened at once.

As the group of heavily armored cavalry approached from afar, the guards at the city gate didn't even dare to breathe loudly.

They held their breath and watched intently as the armored cavalry entered Nottingham.

Seeing all the armored soldiers enter Notting City, the guards at the city gate finally dared to breathe heavily, wiping the cold sweat from their brows, and muttered to themselves, "These soldiers should be from the Heavenly Dou Empire, right? How did they end up in Notting City? And their aura suggests they're not ordinary soldiers."

Wherever the armored soldiers went, ordinary people scattered, only daring to glance at them from afar.

The clanging of armor echoed continuously through Nottingham City. Led by two iron cavalrymen, a large group of fifty or sixty people marched forward and soon arrived in front of Nottingham Academy. Their imposing aura frightened the gatekeepers so much that they dared not move.

"Open the door," the lead armored cavalryman's cold voice rang out.

Upon hearing the cavalryman's words, the gatekeeper of Notting Academy trembled and hurriedly opened the academy gate.

The armored soldiers walked straight into the academy.

It was just approaching noon, and the students in the academy had just finished class and stepped out of the classroom when they heard the clanging of armor in the distance. These were all children who had never seen such a fierce and imposing army of soldiers before, and they were all so frightened that they stayed in the classroom and dared not go out.

When Mald heard the commotion on the playground from his office, his expression changed, and he immediately got up and ran towards the playground.

Mald strode towards one of the armored cavalrymen, saying, "Captain F, didn't I tell you to wait outside the academy? You just barged in like this; what if you scare the students?"

Captain F, whom Mald mentioned, replied directly: "Dean Mald, we are here on the Crown Prince's orders to protect that person. We dare not slacken our efforts until we see that person."

Mald's expression was grim, but Captain F ignored Mald's look and scanned the academy, his gaze settling on the classrooms. He asked, "Is that person in the classroom?"

As he spoke, Captain Ephesus and the soldiers turned and headed toward the classroom, but Mald quickly stopped them, saying, "Xiao Quan isn't in the classroom."

"I'm here!" Shi Quan's cold voice came from the dormitory building behind the armored soldiers.

Upon hearing the sound, Captain Fu turned around and looked at Shi Quan, who was holding the Crown Prince's token not far away.

A horse neighed, and Captain Fu spurred his horse and quickly turned around to stand not far from Shi Quan. His tall figure looked down at Shi Quan, and the armored soldiers around him also quickly turned around and surrounded him.

Captain Fu glanced at the token and said calmly, "Prove your identity!"

Shi Quan's gaze narrowed slightly, and Mald quickly walked over and said, "Xiao Quan, he means he wants to see your spirit rings."

Looking at the gazes from all directions, Shi Quan slowly raised his right hand. A deep blue light shone forth, and the Blue Silver Grass appeared in his hand. Beneath him, two soul rings, one yellow and one purple, quietly emerged.

"A thousand-year-old spirit ring!"

The entire college was in an uproar.

No one expected that Shi Quan, who usually kept a low profile, had already broken through to level 20, and that his second soul ring had reached an astonishing thousand years.

Tang San, who was in the classroom, also looked at the thousand-year-old spirit ring at Shi Quan's feet with a surprised expression.

How could someone with innate level one soul power cultivate so quickly?

Didn't the teacher say that the limit for the second spirit ring is 764 years?

Aren't thousand-year soul rings only obtainable by Soul Masters?

Various questions arose in Tang San's mind.

On the other side, Yu Xiaogang was the same, his dead fish eyes fixed on the two spirit rings under Shi Quan's body, his expression full of disbelief, and he kept muttering, "Impossible, this is impossible..."

He didn't understand how Shi Quan had managed to do it.

Upon seeing the thousand-year soul rings shimmering around Shi Quan, Captain Fu, the leader, finally showed a glimmer of light in his cold gaze. He leaped off his horse, knelt on one knee, and respectfully bowed to Shi Quan, saying, "Greetings, sir. We are here to protect you under the orders of the Crown Prince. Please feel free to give us any instructions."

bang bang bang!

The sound of everyone kneeling down rang out, and the synchronized movements made one's heart tighten.

Shi Quan, without changing his expression, withdrew his martial spirit and stared at Captain Fu, the leader, saying, "Apologize to my teacher."

Captain Fu suddenly raised his head, his cold gaze fixed on Shi Quan, but Shi Quan was not afraid at all and looked back at Captain Fu.

"No need, no need." Mald quickly waved his hand and went to help Captain F to his feet, saying gently, "Captain F, you can just take him out first, just don't disturb the students' studies."

Shi Quan, however, pulled Mald aside and stared at Captain Ferguson, saying, "Apologize."

Captain Frye's expression remained unchanged beneath his armor, but a hint of a smile appeared at the corner of his eye as he said to Mald, "Dean Mald, I was presumptuous in this matter and have offended you greatly. Please forgive me."

Mald paused for a moment, sighed, and said, "Captain Fu, you're too kind. It was my oversight in making arrangements. Let's leave it at that."

As he spoke, Mald patted Shi Quan's hand, indicating that it was about time. Shi Quan's expression softened, and he put away the token in his hand, saying calmly, "Get up."

Captain Ephesus and his many soldiers then stood up.
