Douluo Continent: A Man of Unparalleled Talent and Heaven-Defying Comprehension

Chapter 18: The Effect of the Third Soul Ring (Please read on!!! Please recommend!)

The four quickly left the Star Dou Great Forest.

Su Yu walked briskly along the way. This third soul skill was even more satisfying than he had expected.

After absorbing the spirit ring, Su Yu's Blue Silver Grass took another step forward as he wished, with its life attribute exploding and becoming the main attribute of his Blue Silver Grass.

The effects of the Soul Rings perfectly inherit the characteristics of the Bursting Chili.

Firstly, there's a passive boost: Su Yu's Blue Silver Grass's life force recovery speed is greatly increased.

Note that this refers to the restoration of vitality, not the restoration of Blue Silver Grass.

Moreover, as Su Yu's cultivation level increases, the upper limit of the Blue Silver Grass's vitality will also increase significantly.

Secondly, there's the active effect. The Soul Ring of Exploding Chili grants Su Yu explosive power. When he uses his third Soul Skill—Exploding Mark—he receives a comprehensive boost, with an increase of 30%.

Of course, such an upgrade is conditional. It requires the consumption of life imprints, which are imprints formed from the condensation of life force. Each imprint requires a large amount of life force to condense.

Moreover, because the burst of vitality is a life force, it will bring serious aftereffects, leaving the person in a state of weakness.

However, both the depleted life force and the weakened state after the burst can be recovered at a relatively fast pace. This is a characteristic inherited from the Bursting Chili.

Vitality and weakness are restored relatively quickly, but the formation of the mark takes a longer time.

Currently, Su Yu is a Soul Master and can condense three marks.

After absorbing a soul ring, one gains a life mark. Su Yu estimated that it would take ten days to condense the second life mark, and the third mark would likely take fifteen days to condense!

It takes about five days for the first mark to form from nothing.

So far, Su Yu's three spirit rings all primarily increase the life force attribute, while also adding additional abilities.

The first soul skill restores the soul power recovery state.

The second soul skill purifies oneself and eliminates negative status effects.

The third soul skill erupts.

In line with the main theme of Su Yu's increased vitality, the combination of soul skill effects is also satisfactory.

The effects of these three soul skills are all based on the strength of the Blue Silver Grass's life attribute.

As Su Yu further explores the life attributes of the Blue Silver Grass, and with the subsequent enhancement of these life attributes by the spirit rings, the effects of these spirit skills will gradually become top-tier among those of the same level!

"Brother Su, are you really not coming to Shrek Academy with us?"

"That's right, Su Yu. Your age and soul power level perfectly meet the admission requirements for Shrek Academy."

Beibei, Tangya, and Huo Yuhao didn't understand Su Yu's decision.

They planned to make one last attempt to persuade Su Yu and save his life.

Only by going to Shrek Academy can you maximize your potential!

Su Yu shook his head, refusing their offer once again.

"No, I already have a goal."

The four went their separate ways.

Su Yu headed west.

Meanwhile, Bei Bei, Tang Ya, and Huo Yuhao headed towards Shrek Academy.

The relationship between the Sun Moon Empire and the Starry Sky Empire is tense.

The situation on the border between the two sides is very serious.

However, it is passable on some treacherous paths.

Firstly, caravans needed to circulate between countries, and secondly, complete isolation was impossible.

Su Yu joined the latest caravan from Wanhulou as they crossed the border.

"Brother Su, here is a thousand gold soul coins. Consider it my personal donation to you. It's not a lot of gold soul coins, but it should be enough for your life in Mingdu."

Su Yu held a letter in his hand, along with a card containing one thousand gold soul coins.

Mingdu is the most prosperous place in the Sun Moon Empire, and it is also the destination of caravans. Only here can they obtain enough rare goods to resell back to the Star Luo Empire.

After arriving in Mingdu with the caravan, Su Yu headed straight for the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy.

Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy.

There were quite a few students and parents who had registered, and they were all queuing up in an orderly fashion. Su Yu also obediently walked to the back of the line to queue up, after all, queuing is a good virtue.

The line was very long, and it would probably take most of the day to get through, so Su Yu decided to use the time to do his own cultivation.

He focused his mind on his own body, manipulating his soul power to spread as much as possible within him, and sensing the distribution of his meridians.

Although the combination of meditation and body tempering techniques increased his cultivation speed, Su Yu was still not satisfied.

Although the body tempering method had completed a cycle, it was merely a cobbled-together creation without any real skill involved. Su Yu had been trying to find a special route for the circulation of soul power.

Just like the use of soul skills, soul power operates in a specific way, which can produce unique effects.

Each segment of the body's meridians is equivalent to a special operating mode, which can enhance the effects of soul power.

In fact, Su Yu had already made a preliminary discovery of a structure.

Soul power circulates from here, drawing upon the surrounding天地元气 (heaven and earth energy). In other words, incorporating this step into the body tempering method will allow him to draw upon the energy even faster.

If we can find another structure to accelerate the absorption of vital energy, the effect of the body tempering method can be greatly improved!

Time flies by as we explore.

In the blink of an eye, the line ahead had reached its end, and it was finally Su Yu's turn.

"Hello teacher, I want to apply to the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy."

The teacher in charge glanced at Su Yu's chest but didn't see the Soul Master certification badge. He then looked at Su Yu's hands and eyes.

It doesn't look like someone who has held a carving knife.

With a vacant gaze, it's even less likely that the person carved the core magic array.

It was obvious to the naked eye that the teacher in charge's attitude had changed. Not exactly cold, but at least the initial enthusiasm had diminished considerably.

"You're not a Soul Master?"

"No. I want to apply to the Martial Soul Department of our school."

Su Yu had already done his research before coming. His goal was to first enter the Martial Soul Department and then apply to transfer to another department during the freshman assessment.

"Have you practiced using soul tools?"

Although Su Yu previously possessed a level-three soul tool dagger, he had never practiced using it. He later even sold the soul tool.

He shook his head.

The teacher in charge sighed.

"You've neither studied soul guidance nor used a soul tool, so what makes you think you can join the Royal Soul Guidance Academy?"

"Teacher, do you think I'm qualified to join the academy?"

As Su Yu spoke, he released his martial spirit.

A vibrant blue silver grass emerged from his palm, and three soul rings—one yellow and two purple—floated around his body, pulsating up and down.

After being tempered by three spirit rings, Su Yu's Blue Silver Grass has undergone a complete transformation.

Although the appearance of the Blue Silver Grass can still be recognized, it has undergone tremendous changes inside.

The Blue Silver Grass is covered with dense purple patterns and twinkling starlight, exuding a vibrant and explosive life force.

Even without Su Yu activating it, a surge of vitality emanated from it, bringing joy to the mind and body.

"Soul Master!"

"The second ring of the millennium!"
