Chapter 44 Guangling Meets Renxue at Night, Han Li Takes the Blame

Chapter 44 Guangling meets Qianrenxue at night, Han Li takes the blame

Now that the plan could continue, Han Li breathed a sigh of relief and simply went to sleep. However, he had only been resting for a short while when there was a knock on his door.

Guang Ling was standing outside the door. Han Li opened the door and welcomed him in. Seeing that he seemed to have just woken up, Guang Ling casually asked, "What's wrong? Did you get tired from running around this afternoon?"

"No, I just went to a lot of places this afternoon and was thinking about something."

Han Li casually took a bottle of freshly squeezed apple juice from his storage wristband and handed it to Guang Ling. He also opened a bottle for himself and sat down on a chair next to her.

"Have you encountered anything interesting? Tell me about it?"

After spending more than a year together, Guangling also discovered his apprentice's little quirk: when something unexpected happens, he always stays silent for a while, then goes to sleep. Even after waking up, he needs to stay awake for a while before returning to normal.

"It's nothing much, except that when I went to visit the Heaven Dou Royal Academy, I ran into the Crown Prince of Heaven Dou and Ning Rongrong of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School." Han Li finished speaking, drank the juice in one gulp, and put it on the table.

"What are you doing at the Heavenly Dou Royal Academy?" Guangling asked in surprise.

"Since I'm already here, I might as well go and take a look. Besides, I feel like there's someone there who's destined to be with me," Han Li replied casually.

"Did you find it?" Guangling's eyes lit up, and she asked in a low voice.

"No, let's try it together tonight. I haven't found any gold coins today, but my luck should be pretty good. By God's grace, maybe we'll find some," Han Li said seriously.

Guang Ling's lips twitched at his words. Even though the Spirit Hall was a religious organization, he still found his disciple's words absurd and was speechless for a moment.

Is this how you use angels? It's not devout at all.

"Don't say things like that again when you get back to Wuhun City. No, don't say them again in the future. I'm afraid the Grand Elder will find out and beat you up," Guangling reminded him with a constipated look on his face.

"Um."

Han Li nodded readily, but thought to himself, "Isn't this something I need to deal with, Master? I'm not stupid; why would I say this in front of Qian Daoliu? I should wait until I can beat him before I say it."

"Crown Prince of Tiandou, how do you feel?"

Guangling glanced around, then asked furtively with a strange expression.

Han Li gave him a deep look, and just as Guang Ling was wondering if the boy had discovered something, he slowly spoke: "A gentleman as fine as jade, unparalleled in the world."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Guangling was completely bewildered. He could tell it was a kind remark, but knowing its meaning, he couldn't do it.

"Just take it as me saying he's incredibly handsome and unparalleled."

Han Li regretted saying it as soon as it left his mouth. He had come across as pretentious and illiterate, which made him feel really bad.

"It's rare to hear such high praise from you, kid. It seems this Crown Prince is indeed quite remarkable." Guangling was happy for Princess Xiaoxue, but he couldn't show it, so his face looked like he had applied blush when he spoke.

"Putting everything else aside, she has a great temperament and a knack for dealing with people."

Taking the opportunity to speak, Han Li glanced at his master. His acting was terrible. If this were a seasoned veteran in the workplace, he would have wondered why the people of the Spirit Hall were paying so much attention to the crown prince of another empire.

He was saying nice things, just trying to make a good impression through Guangling's words.

He really didn't want to get involved now, but he knew he couldn't escape it later. He might as well let his master act as a mouthpiece. And judging from Guang Ling's appearance, he must love Qian Renxue very much, so the effect shouldn't be too bad.

"Oh right, I've already sent a message to Wuhun City informing them of our whereabouts. We can stay here a little longer." Guangling seemed to have just remembered this, and when she mentioned staying a little longer, a strange hope flickered in her eyes.

Han Li thought for a moment and then took the initiative to say, "Let's do it tomorrow. Let Master Luo stay here, and we'll sneak out. Remember to prepare clothes to conceal your identity."

"Don't worry, I've already prepared this." Guangling raised an eyebrow smugly and pointed to his belt.

The master and disciple chatted casually for a while, and after dinner, Han Li began his daily routine of cultivation.

The entire Tiandou City gradually fell silent, no longer bustling with activity during the day.

Just as Han Li finished his cultivation and was preparing to sleep, a faint noise came from a room not far away, which quickly disappeared and went into the distance.

Master went out? Looks like he went to see Qian Renxue. Oh well, it's none of my business. Time to sleep.

Han Li shook his head, then narrowed the perception range of the soul bone to his own room and quickly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, under the cover of night and his black robe, Guang Ling left the Spirit Hall and headed straight for the Crown Prince's residence in the Heaven Dou Kingdom.

Relying on his cultivation level, he concealed his aura and entered silently from above. Only when he approached the main courtyard did he release a trace of his aura.

There was no movement in the main courtyard until almost a minute later, when, seemingly confirming his identity, two figures slowly emerged from the shadows and took the initiative to say, "Greetings, Fifth Master."

"Alright, Ci Xue, She Long, you two are very cautious. Good, you must be like this in the future. His Highness's safety is of paramount importance, and there can be no mistakes." Guang Ling slightly lifted his hood, revealing his signature left eye, and looked at the two Title Douluos in front of him with satisfaction.

"You flatter us, Your Excellency. We were just doing what we should do," said the Porcupine Douluo and the Serpent Spear Douluo, bowing.

"Alright, let's go inside first. It's not safe here yet. Where is Princess Xiaoxue?" Guangling asked.

"Your Highness is waiting for you in the secret chamber below the room. Please follow me."

The pufferfish winked at the spearman, signaling him to keep watch outside. The spearman nodded and silently disappeared back into the darkness.

The door was gently opened, and the two slipped inside. After the porcupine closed the door again, it led the light feather around the screen and came to a separate rug on the left side of the bed. It lifted the rug to reveal the steps underneath.

"Five Offerings, the secret passage has been opened. Please go down on your own. His Highness is waiting for you below."

The porcupine pointed to the passage below, showing no intention of going down, and remained standing guard to the side.

"it is good."

Guangling stepped inside without hesitation.

The secret passage wasn't long, only about a dozen steps, when Guangling saw the light ahead.

After walking a few quick steps, Guangling saw a teenage girl with light blonde hair standing prettily in the center of the spacious room below, happily looking at Guangling as she appeared.

"Grandpa Guangling".

Qian Renxue ran over with a joyful expression and buried her head in Guangling's arms.

"Xiaoxue, it's been a long time."

Guangling gently embraced the girl in his arms, a hint of pity flashing across his face. Come to think of it, even he hadn't seen Xiaoxue for over four years. The last time they met was when he was passing through this area and casually took on the task of appeasing the lower-level personnel. It was quite a coincidence, really, that it was all related to his disciple.

Guangling reached out and took off the hood, then held the girl's shoulder and pushed her away slightly, examining the girl who had changed somewhat since he remembered her.

"Xiaoxue has grown so much, and she's become even more beautiful. How have you been these past few years?"

Looking at that slightly indulgent smile, and noticing that Guangling's behavior was different from before.

Qian Renxue seemed to realize that her pounce had been somewhat reckless. She was no longer the little girl she used to be, and she turned around somewhat embarrassedly, quickly pulling Guangling to sit down to the side.

"I'm actually fine, but Grandpa Guangling, why did you suddenly come? You didn't tell me beforehand. Luckily, Ning Rongrong was picked up in advance, otherwise, I probably wouldn't have been able to see you tonight." Qian Renxue's words carried a hint of coquetry.

"It was a spur-of-the-moment decision. As you know, I took on a disciple, and this time I brought him out to obtain his second spirit ring. He's never been to Heaven Dou City before, so I brought him here to see it, and it'll also be a good opportunity for him to meet you."

Guang Ling blushed, his expression revealing a hint of unease. He had acted on a whim, but he certainly couldn't say that. Fortunately, he still had his apprentice, so he naturally shifted the blame to Han Li, who wasn't around.

Inside the Spirit Hall, Han Li, who had already fallen asleep, trembled slightly. In the approaching summer night, he seemed to feel a chill and tightened the blanket around himself.
