The Legendary Family of One Piece

Chapter 63 I'm not going.

Chapter 63 There's No Going Back

After nearly half a month, everyone finally copied all of Ohara's books.

This was accomplished with the help of many local people.

The workload is enormous.

The kind of collection of books that couldn't fit on an entire ship.

It's alright though!

With Charlotte's reminder, Mitis has also been quite successful in developing the Book-Book Fruit, and its storage ability has already been successfully implemented.

"Mr. Charlotte! All the books have been loaded onto the ship."

Metis ran over with a blank book in his hand.

After hearing Mitis's shout, Charlotte slowly turned around and smiled at Mitis, who was holding a book in his hand.

"Is it all installed?"

Charlotte asked!

Metis came to Charlotte's side and immediately held up the blank book in his hand and handed it to him.

"This is the book storage space I developed using my abilities. I've tested it, and it can hold up to five thousand books of the same size with the books I have on hand!"

"Mitis said excitedly."

Charlotte's eyes lit up upon hearing this. She took the book from Mitis and felt no weight at all; it was only the size and weight of a normal book.

Slowly turn it open.

What comes into view is a card-like storage space filled with books.

This ability is so convenient!

Just like the capsules in the Dragon Ball world, they're practically an essential item for traveling.

Charlotte asked, "How do we get the contents out?"

"I can simply place my hand on it and release it with a thought. Of course, I can also create a blank book the size of a normal person, which would have more space inside and allow me to bring other people in."

"Mitis said."

Charlotte looked at Mitis, who was starting to see the potential of the Book-Book Fruit being developed, though he believed the Book-Book Fruit had considerable power.

Charlotte was extremely satisfied with this ability.

"Very well done, Mitis."

Mitis blushed slightly; Charlotte's sudden praise of him in front of everyone made him somewhat embarrassed.

"Mr. Charlotte, this is all thanks to you. You guided me in developing my Devil Fruit ability, which allowed me to succeed in developing it in such a short time."

Charlotte smiled without saying a word. That wasn't his inspiration at all; it was just a freebie.

No one knew what Charlotte was thinking, but that didn't stop them from admiring her.

The abilities of Devil Fruits are incredibly diverse, and developing powerful abilities certainly requires some creative thinking.

Charlotte closed the book casually and returned it to Metis.

He remembered that the Book Fruit could also create illusions, trapping people within the strange stories in the books, but only within their mental consciousness; their physical bodies would remain outside, at the mercy of others.

Charlotte's imagination ran wild.

What if we could bring the monsters and objects from the stories in books to life?

Or perhaps they use books like the Bible to create an illusion and baptize people's spiritual world?

Things like that are quite interesting!

However, none of this can be rushed; it requires the Devil Fruit user to develop it themselves. He could offer some interesting suggestions, though.

It might produce some amazing chemical changes.

"Charlotte, should we leave Ohara and start afresh?" Lina asked.

Everyone looked at Charlotte with anticipation, especially Beta and Barrett, the two battle maniacs.

Ojamaa is quite beautiful, but I've seen everything I wanted to see and done everything I wanted to do. After a while, it gets a bit boring; it's just so-so.

Charlotte nodded; it was indeed time to go.

It's quite rare that the navy hasn't come looking for trouble for so long.

It's important to know that the Navy has a very firm stance against pirates.

Of course, this is also thanks to his low-key and unassuming nature, which he avoids the limelight.

Thinking of this, Charlotte couldn't help but feel a little smug. Sure enough, only foolish pirates would do things like showing off.

His strategy was absolutely correct; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to wander around the West Sea so easily.

They've probably already been chased like dogs.

Charlotte also understood that being safe now did not guarantee being safe in the future.

The longer you stay here, the easier it is to be exposed, so it's definitely time to leave.

"Ready, ready, let's set sail!"

The crowd cheered and quickly got to work.

Charlotte looked at everyone speechlessly. It was just a trip to sea, she really didn't understand why they were getting so excited!

It's really disheartening!

Isn't it better to just lie down and relax?

These guys have no ambition at all. It feels like they've let themselves go since they went to sea!

Hmm... This unhealthy trend must not be allowed to continue.

Soon after, Charlotte and her group said goodbye to Dr. Clover and prepared to leave.

Before leaving, Dr. Clover gave him a precious seed from the Tree of Omniscience and many rare copies of books.

This surprised him somewhat.

It seems his words did have some effect on Dr. Clover, though probably not much.

Faced with the allure of historical research, this group of archaeologists will absolutely not give up.

This is a kind of will, a will to go through fire and water without hesitation.

But he could understand that his will was to lie down safely, which naturally required sufficient strength and money.

What he found most regrettable was that, of the archaeologist's orphaned children, only Oli, had left with him after he had persuaded her to do so.

As for the other children, they didn't have this idea at all.

"It's fate!" Charlotte sighed. Their destiny could only end in history along with Ohara.

Mitis, somewhat confused by Charlotte's mutterings, asked, "Mr. Charlotte, what do you mean by that?"

Charlotte was taken aback, and when faced with Mitis's question, she showed a nostalgic look and said gently.

"This is an old saying from my hometown. It means that when you encounter good or bad things, you can't defy the arrangements of fate."

Mytis's eyes widened in amazement. This was truly great wisdom!

He was incredibly curious about what Mr. Charlotte's hometown would be like, and whether Mr. Charlotte's ideal of a homeland originated from there.

I really want to see it!

"Mr. Charlotte, may I visit your hometown?"

Charlotte's body suddenly stiffened, and then she said sadly, "There's no going back, there's never going back."

Mitis was so shocked that he couldn't calm down for a long time, and felt sad. He naturally thought of many things after hearing such a reply.

Soon, Mitis became resolute, perhaps this was Mr. Charlotte's unwavering belief in his ideal homeland.

I, Mitis, will steadfastly walk alongside you to realize the great ideal of our ideal land.

Charlotte looked at the suddenly excited Mitis and was a little confused.

Is this kid going to develop hysteria?

I ignored it.

Charlotte watched Ohara recede into the distance, knowing she would probably never have the chance to come here again and see Ohara as it was now.

This parting will be forever.

His eyes seemed to burn with a raging fire, a darkness that stretched as far as the eye could see.

Charlotte murmured softly, "The god of fate has no mercy, God's long night has no end, and we are but fleeting passersby."

Mitis looked at Charlotte's somewhat inscrutable face, and couldn't shake off the feeling for a long time.
