Devouring Stars: Master of Evolution

Chapter 84 Crazy Military Merits

In a war base north of the base city, a large number of martial artists from the Extreme Martial Arts School and the Thunder Martial Arts School gathered.

Almost simultaneously with Jia Yi's national address, the Limitless Martial Arts Academy and the Thunder Martial Arts Academy issued orders for their members to cooperate with the military's actions.

Immediately afterwards, the military issued a mobilization order.

At this moment, Luo Feng and the rest of the Fire Hammer Squad are waiting in the military camp for the military's arrangements.

A hundred miles away from the military camp, a large number of monsters are already gathering from the wilderness.

The smoke of war had already enveloped the entire military camp.

Luo Feng, however, was in a good mood and even had the time to study the monsters that the military had assigned to his squad in the barracks.

Not long after the HR Alliance was taken over by the military, news reports surfaced detailing the various crimes committed by the top executives of the HR Alliance. Each case was supported by conclusive evidence, and since it was wartime, all those convicted of capital offenses would be executed immediately!

Among these death row inmates were Vulture Li Yao and Scorpion Vinina Bolenas.

Luo Feng smiled when he saw the news.

What goes around comes around; no one escapes the wrath of Heaven!

This once high and mighty vulture and scorpion couple has actually been sentenced to death!

Just outrageous!

Ignoring the HR Alliance, the members of the Fire Hammer Squad gathered in the military camp and had a heated discussion.

"Captain, look at this tiger-dog assigned to our squad. It's even more obedient than military dogs, completely following our orders."

Moreover, this tiger-dog even had a horn, and its strength was much greater than that of an ordinary tiger-dog.

"If I didn't use firearms, I might not even be a match for this ravenous beast!"

Chen Gu of the Fire Hammer Squad was excited, directing the tiger-dog assigned to them by the military to perform various actions.

Gao Feng, the captain of the Fire Hammer Squad, was also curious. He had seen many tigers and hounds, but this was the first time he had seen one that had been tamed.

"This shouldn't be an ordinary monster, but rather a monster created by Chief Qin Mu using genetic technology!"

Gao Feng circled the tiger and the hound a few times, marveling at it.

After that devastating war, everyone in the country remembered Qin Mu's name.

They were impressed by his immense strength and amazing monster breeding techniques.

Even martial artists like them are no exception.

In particular, the members of the Firehammer Squad had all met Qin Mu, and their admiration for him had reached its peak.

"This is just a beast-soldier level monster issued free of charge by the military. Look at the news the military just released; as long as you have enough battle merits, you can even exchange for monsters of the general level or even the lord level!"

Zhang Ke, the Iron Spearman, whose arm had regrown after being severed, had a gleam in his eyes!

"1000 battle merits can be exchanged for a Tiger-dog of the beginner level Beast General!"

1500 battle merits can be exchanged for a Golden Vulture, a flying monster at the beginner level of Beast General!

If you can accumulate 100,000 battle merits, you can even exchange them for a lord-level monster!

My God, a Lord-level monster that obeys every command!

Wei Tie, who had already taken the gene serum and reached the level of a junior general, was trembling with excitement.

Lord-level monster!

You can even exchange for Lord-level monsters!

"Killing a monster at the level of a beast soldier will earn you 1 battle merit, while killing a monster at the level of a low-level beast general will earn you 100 battle merits. However, you need to bring all the corpses back to the base, otherwise it will only count as half the battle merits."

This means that as long as you kill ten Beast General-level monsters and bring back their corpses, you can obtain a Beast General-level monster that is completely obedient to you.

To facilitate the transport of monster carcasses, the military even thoughtfully arranged a service that allowed them to call upon flying monsters to transport the carcasses.

Furthermore, the military also provides emergency services.

If you are surrounded by monsters, you can call for emergency rescue from flying monsters.

Depending on the difficulties they face, they can choose to be rescued by either a Warrior-level flying monster or a Lord-level flying monster.

With meritorious service, one can accomplish almost anything.

Once their safety was somewhat guaranteed, they became interested.

For their Firehammer Squad, hunting down a monster of the level of a ten-headed beast general was not difficult at all.

Not only them, but even Luo Feng was tempted.

This time, the list of items available for redemption with military merits includes more than just monsters.

It has all kinds of weapons and equipment, cultivation techniques and so on.

Self-healing potions and gene serums, which are normally difficult to buy, can be freely exchanged.

There is even an extremely precious treasure inside: the spirit of plants and trees!

Luo Feng was shocked when he saw the effects of the plant spirit.

The spirits of plants and trees can actually allow powerful warriors to raise their strength to the level of a war god without any side effects.

The specially noted ten-thousand-year-old willow heartwood, once consumed, can directly elevate one's strength to the peak of a high-level war god.

I must obtain the spirit of a plant.

Luo Feng made a silent decision in his heart.

After being wanted by Li Yao, his desire for power became stronger than ever before.

If he has enough strength, why would he need to fear Li Yao's wanted notice?

Or, would Li Wei still dare to treat him that way?

"Even the lowest-level plant spirit requires millions of battle merits. That's enough to exchange for ten lord-level monsters."

Luo Feng sighed inwardly. This spirit of plants was indeed a good thing, but it was just too expensive.

When he unleashes his full power, his strength as a mentalist can reach the level of a high-ranking warrior.

With the power of a mentalist, he could easily slaughter ordinary high-level beast generals.

Taking a chance, obtaining the spirit of plants and trees is not without hope.

"Captain, let's go! Let's go hunt monsters!"

Chen Gu said excitedly.

Although monsters had gathered outside the military camp, their numbers were not too great. With their strength, and if they were careful, they had a chance.

"Luo Feng, what do you think? Should we take a gamble?"

Gao Feng clearly had some thoughts of his own, but he still asked Luo Feng.

After what happened in City 003, Luo Feng is now the strongest member of the Fire Hammer Squad.

"Fight!"

Luo Feng said without hesitation.

Initially, many martial artists harbored resentment at being forcibly conscripted by the military.

At this point, however, most martial artists had lost that idea and were even eager to try it out. Without the military's arrangement, they all began to go out of the city to hunt on their own initiative.

In particular, powerful warriors and even war gods have all set their sights on the spirits of plants and trees.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

"Fortune favors the bold. If we can exchange for a Spirit of Plants, we too can become War Gods!"

Gao Feng gritted his teeth and made a decision.

When they arrived at the exit of the martial arts base, they found it already packed with people.

Almost all the martial artists made the same decision.

This discovery made the Firehammer Squad a little anxious. There were only so many monsters around the military camp, and if they were too late, they would be gone.

"Let's go! Let's set off!"

Similar scenes are playing out repeatedly at various military war bases.

This scene was, of course, orchestrated by Qin Mu. This would not only ignite the fighting spirit of the warriors but also weaken the monster's strength.

For each monster they exchange, they need to expend ten times the energy, which is a completely profitable business for the swarm.

The more monsters they kill, the more monsters they can exchange for, and the larger the swarm will become.

Since the military has already been given so many monsters, it doesn't matter if they spread a little more.

Even the spirits of plants and trees are nothing more than a bit of energy to Qin Mu.

All of this has been planned; we just need to follow the steps.

With his current strength and status, he doesn't need to do things personally at all.

Even when it came to dealing with the HR Alliance, Qin Mu didn't pay much attention. He figured the government and military could handle it, since it was just a branch of the HR Alliance.

Compared to these, he had more important things to deal with.

After defeating City 003, the most important gathering place for land and sea monsters.

King-level monsters across the entire Eurasian continent gradually began to riot.

The monsters in the ocean also began to stir, and the swarms of insects that had developed in the ocean discovered that a large number of monsters were moving from the deep sea toward the land.

Their target is City 003.

The coming period is destined to be filled with war, and Qin Mu must use his powerful personal strength and mobility to suppress the various king-level monsters in the wilderness.

Qin Mu and his insect swarm were already prepared.

Preparations for total war.

Sigh, I had an accident on my way out – a car accident. Luckily, it wasn't serious. My update tomorrow will probably be a little late.
