Full-Time Magister: I Had No Intention of Reaching the Dimensional Throne
Chapter 132 Joining Forces to Eliminate Bai
Chapter 132 Joining Forces to Eliminate Bai
Bai Yuanzhi held up three fingers. "The first match is a contest among the younger generation of various families, consisting of mid-level mages aged twenty-five and under. To be on the safe side, you will represent the Bai family in this match, and the outcome will be decided in one battle."
As he spoke, the Bai family head retracted one of his fingers. "The second match is a contest between high-level mages under the age of thirty. It will be decided in three rounds, so you don't need to come for this one."
"The third match is a battle between higher-level clans. The clan that wins the most matches out of the three will have the opportunity."
After listening, Bai Mo nodded slightly, indicating that he understood.
Territories within these officially designated new zones are safe and most valuable.
If the territory was purchased by the aristocratic family themselves, then most of it would likely be located in the Ya'an border area, outside of An'an border, where land prices in the city are very high.
If you buy it yourself, you'll need to spend a lot of money on various aspects of the project, the most important of which is safety issues like clearing the mountain.
The ones provided by the authorities are different; they will definitely be located in the city center, and the prices will be relatively cheaper in the future.
Another point is the command authority of the aristocratic families when expanding into new areas to sweep away demons; there are many areas where this can be manipulated.
So Bai Mo readily agreed; the better the family developed, the more support he would receive.
"I understand. I will advance to the advanced level in the latter half of next month."
Bai Mo tossed the Star River Vein into his spatial storage, then leisurely glanced at the hollow willow tree. He then received a message from Lingling saying that she had found a new teammate.
Bai Mo quickly realized who had become Lingling's teammate, but he wasn't too bothered. He was already close to the advanced level, and many of the small tasks in the hunting camp were usually left vacant, something Lingling had been eagerly anticipating for a long time.
I stayed at home for one night and came to school the next day.
As soon as Bai Mo appeared on the school road, he felt that many people were looking at him, some with admiration and others with longing. He knew that this was caused by yesterday's ranking event.
He went to the Wind Academy and collected the spirit seed fragments from the first place winner, excluding the Three-Step Tower. The others were of little use to him, so he didn't take them.
After that, he did not stay at the school any longer, but prepared to return to the courtyard he rented outside Mingzhu Academy.
"Hey, did you guys hear? Today, a freshman from the Fire Academy challenged the fiftieth place on the Fire Ranking."
"No way, no one would think they're Bai Mo too, would they?"
"I heard she's a great beauty."
"Let's go take a look."
Hearing his classmates' conversation, Bai Mo was somewhat surprised; he felt they were talking about Ding Yumin.
So they headed towards the direction of the Fire Academy.
"Chief Bai!"
"Chief Bai!"
"."
On the way, Feng Yuan saw Bai Mo's students and greeted them with nods. Before long, they arrived at Huo Yuan's fighting hall.
A Bai Ze was sleeping outside the fighting arena. Upon seeing it, Bai Mo became even more certain of his guess.
Sure enough, as soon as they entered, they saw Ding Yumin standing in the fighting arena, while a boy slowly walked up to her from the opposite side.
That's quite pretentious.
But soon, he couldn't keep up the act anymore. Under Ding Yumin's mind-based magic, he couldn't even cast a single basic spell.
He was knocked down by Ding Yumin's massive, powerful punch.
It was a rather uneventful competition.
Ding Yumin left the arena amidst gasps and murmurs; she had only challenged one person.
As soon as she stepped off the stage, she spotted Bai Mo in the crowd.
He was dressed casually as always today: a loose-fitting t-shirt, a windbreaker over it, wide-leg pants, and high-top shoes.
So Ding Yumin walked over under the watchful eyes of some people.
"Why are you here?"
"I heard there are some really beautiful women fighting here."
"Is it pretty?"
"It's good." Bai Mo nodded seriously, then asked, "Why did you only challenge fiftieth? With your strength, you could easily take on Dongfang Lie."
"Take it one step at a time." Ding Yumin glanced at him; this guy had been making quite a splash lately. So she added, "I don't like being in the spotlight."
"Oh, I'm a superficial person," Bai Mo said nonchalantly, reaching out to pull her outside.
"Why is Bai Ze outside?"
"When I was in school, it was around me most of the time."
"I see." Bai Mo nodded slightly. "It's getting late, why don't we go eat?"
Ding Yumin took out her phone and glanced at it; it was ten o'clock. Bai Mo saw it too, so he said, "You didn't eat breakfast."
After leaving the cafeteria, the two strolled around the main campus. Bai Ze followed them the whole time, which Bai Mo found quite strange.
Afterwards, Ding Yumin went to the fire-elemental exclusive training room to cultivate. It was a very hot place, so Bai Mo did not follow her.
He exchanged a few words with Bai Ze, who was lying outside the cultivation building. The little guy didn't understand anything yet, so there wasn't much to talk about.
It has little to do with the way others look at him like he's an idiot when they see him talking to thin air.
Walking into the Qing Campus, there were quite a few people, but the atmosphere wasn't as tense as on the main campus. The students seemed to be chatting about what they would do during the long holiday.
Bai Mo found Mu Nujiao in the Department of Botany and discovered that she was growing flowers.
"This is a freshman activity within our plant department. Let's see who can grow the flower that survives the longest. The person whose flower survives the longest will receive a shield magic item as a reward."
Mu Nujiao looked at the potted plant with white blossoms in her hand. Seeing Bai Mo's puzzled expression, she explained:
"This is a seven-colored orchid. Normally, it can only live for seven days, but if a plant mage uses their magic to make it bloom, it can live for anywhere from seven to forty-nine days, depending on the plant mage's cultivation level and magic proficiency."
Bai Mo glanced at the red flowers in the flowerpot in Ai Tutu's hand, somewhat puzzled, "The flowers you cultivate are all different colors."
"Hehe, you wouldn't understand!" Ai Tutu chuckled, seemingly quite pleased with herself for knowing things that Bai Mo didn't.
"The seven-colored orchid has seven colors, each corresponding to a different element. Its color is influenced by the element of the soil. Mine is red, which means it has more fire element, while Mu's is white, which means it has more ice element."
"Oh..." Bai Mo nodded, glancing at the others in the classroom, noticing that most of them were yellow. A flower-planting competition, quite interesting.
He looked at Mu Nujiao and asked:
Did you know that the four major families of Shanghai are about to engage in a land grab?
"I think I've heard Nu Xin mention it before," Mu Nu Jiao said after thinking for a moment.
"My strength is still too low to participate, and judging from Nu Xin's words, the Mu family has no intention of wasting energy on this matter."
After saying that, Mu Nujiao glanced at Bai Mo again, "I took your advice and joined the city's demon-hunting team through a special method. Combat really is more conducive to meditation."
"Be careful," Bai Mo instructed, taking four beads from his bracelet. He gave two beads to Mu Nujiao and Ai Tutu each.
"This is a teleportation bead. It contains a teleportation device that allows for instantaneous movement. Use it when you encounter danger."
"Hey, then I won't be polite," Ai Tutu said with a grin.
Mu Nujiao nodded and put away the teleportation bead.
Bai Mo smiled, glanced at the two of them, and said in a consultative tone, "I have another suggestion. Would you like to hear it?"
"What?" Ai Tutu's eyes darted around, asking curiously. Mu Nujiao also turned her gaze to Bai Mo, waiting for his next words.
"Once this semester is over, you won't need to live in the dorms anymore. Have you looked for housing outside of Mingzhu Academy?" Bai Mo asked patiently.
"Not yet, TuTu and I plan to talk about it later," Mu Nujiao said softly, glancing at him.
"I rented a courtyard with someone outside Mingzhu Academy, and there are two empty rooms." Bai Motu revealed his true intentions, his gaze sweeping over the two of them as he slowly said:
"Why don't you move in too? My roommate is easy to talk to."
"Roommate? Male or female?" Ai Tutu keenly noticed the key point.
"Emmm." Bai Mo thought for a moment, then decided to tell the truth, "A woman."
"A woman?" Ai Tutu's voice rose slightly, then softened again. "Is she pretty? How old is she?"
Bai Mo glanced at one of her most prominent features and shook his head firmly. "Not as big as yours. As for whether it's pretty or not, you'll find out when you get there."
Ai Tutu remained silent, her gaze drifting towards Mu Nujiao.
Mu Nujiao pursed her lips, expressionless, and glanced at Bai Mo's wrist, where a dry hair ring was next to his silver bracelet.
"You two seem to have a good relationship?"
"Yes, it's pretty good." Bai Mo nodded, feeling that his plan might not go very smoothly.
"We'll stay in the dorms for now, and we'll see next semester."
"Okay." Bai Mo nodded, glancing at Mu Nujiao, whose expression was calm, indeed indicating that she did not intend to discuss these matters at this time.
Bai Mo left after a while.
He felt it was better to take things slowly; if sharing an apartment didn't work out, then they should separate for the time being.
He took out his phone to check the rental information for Jinyuan Apartments. Afterwards, he returned to the courtyard, released Daju and Fengling, and entered a state of cultivation.
While there's no further progress in spatial and summoning cultivation, one can still accumulate energy and refine their foundation.
You also need to nurture the nebula, practice magic, and read some summoning books; there are quite a few advanced summoning gate techniques.
There are many demons in Kyushu and even in the world, and it's necessary to understand each one.
The less information is given, the more important it is to memorize.
Time flies when you have something to do.
As Bai Mo looked away from his book, he saw Ding Yumin carrying a bag of vegetables into the yard.
Why didn't you invite me to come along?
I bought it on my way.
Bai Mo was just about to ask what to eat for dinner when he received a call from Lingling.
"Bai Mo, come quick! We've encountered a parasitic demon in the Pearl Academy gymnasium."
Lingling quickly recounted her and Mo Fan's story about the Scaled Demon Mother. Worried that Mo Fan couldn't handle it alone, she asked Bai Mo for help.
"So fast," Bai Mo muttered to himself. Lingling didn't hear him clearly, so she asked, "What?"
"Oh, I'm coming right away. How long has Mo Fan been inside?"
"Just went in."
"Okay." Bai Mo replied and explained the situation to Ding Yumin.
"I'll go with you. Yunwu told me she's going to a concert tonight."
"Let's go then."
Speeding through the streets, Bai Mo and Ding Yumin soon found Lingling.
"How is the situation?"
"We've already notified the school and the Hunter Alliance; they seem to be planning to lock down the gymnasium," Lingling said quickly.
"Let's go in then." Bai Mo said to Ding Yumin, and quickly led her into the stadium.
As soon as I got close, I saw the falling door. I used the space to support myself and was able to get in smoothly.
Knowing that Ding Yumin and her sister had a close relationship, Bai Mo wanted to prioritize finding Ding Yunwu. He asked, "Can you find where Yunwu is?"
As soon as Ding Yumin's mental fluctuations spread, she immediately sensed Ding Yunwu's location and also learned about the suffering of the students who had been parasitized. So she spoke.
"I sensed her. There are many other demons here. You go and deal with them. I can find Yunwu by myself."
"Okay, then be careful."
Bai Mo said something and headed towards the stage. Through his sound-detecting earring, he heard the sound of the elevator and cheers.
Knowing that the main event was about to begin, killing the Scaled Demon Mother was the only way to solve the problem once and for all.
Then, the Flying Shadow Boots beneath his feet activated, and he transformed into the shadows, heading towards the very center.
"Lingling, didn't you say the reinforcements were almost here? Have they arrived yet?"
Mo Fan felt a burning pain in his chest, gritted his teeth, looked at the Scaled Demon Mother, and continued to use his shadow magic to deal with it.
"He's arrived."
As Lingling's voice came through the earphones, Mo Fan saw Bai Mo's figure emerge from the shadows where the light intersected.
Without any warning, the scaly mother demon, who had been screaming wildly, was suddenly lifted up, and several flashes of silver light appeared, like the light of shining swords.
The scaly mother demon shattered into several pieces in an instant, and those who had transformed into green and yellow female demons all struggled to crawl out from their individual skins.
"Wow, who is this? He's so awesome!" Zhao Manyan, who was purifying things with light magic in the distance, exclaimed in surprise.
Mo Fan saw that the little mudfish seemed to have snatched a spirit from the tiger's mouth, and he cautiously glanced at Bai Mo who appeared in front of him.
"Lingling, it's done." Bai Mo said to Lingling on the other end of the communicator, glanced at Mo Fan, and then his eyes darted around.
"Since you've taken my essence, I'll give it to you, but you owe me a favor."
"Hmm." Mo Fan nodded subconsciously, then realized what he meant, his eyes widening. "You can see!"
"You can see any undead artifacts, or those of the necromancy type," Bai Mo explained to Mo Fan, introducing the concept of undead artifacts.
Mo Fan nodded repeatedly. After discovering that these spirit-souled loaches could spit out their essence, he felt like he had struck it rich.
As for personal connections, he has nothing now anyway, and his personal connections don't seem to be worth a warrior's spirit.
So Mo Fan readily agreed.
Bai Mo found the Ding sisters, and thankfully Ding Yunwu was rescued by Yu Mian before she turned into the Green and Yellow Demoness.
The remaining cleanup work and the meager reputation he gained were of little help to him, so after finding the two of them and saying goodbye to Lingling, he went back.
……
Rumble!
The dull sound was like the beating of drums, and the surging waves rolled back on the unchanging granite.
As the territory of the East Sea Magic Association, Five Dragon Island has many restrictions and is far from the coast.
It has always been the preferred location for various large-scale magic battles in the nearby coastal cities.
The scent of the sea was carried by the biting wind. Bai Mo stood on a granite slab, with three people in front of him.
Lu Qian of the Lu family, Dongfang Lie of the Dongfang family, and Mu Changge of the Mu family.
They presented a subtle encirclement.
Bai Mo glanced at Dongfang Lie. The intermediate-level competition was a free-for-all between mages from the four major families, not a one-on-one duel.
"Dongfang Lie, how about we join forces, take them both out, and then settle things once and for all?"
Dongfang Lie shook his head and glanced at the two people standing side by side with him.
"I think you're a bit of a problem, so it's better for you to be eliminated."
